Avoid Trailside Dental Care…read more After treatment at this office, I was left in severe pain and repeatedly asked to be evaluated by a dentist but was unable to speak with one. Instead, I was given guidance by staff while dealing with significant pain. I ultimately had to seek emergency care elsewhere, where the problem was properly resolved. In addition, I was told I needed 6-8 fillings and a crown. When I sought a second opinion, I was told that none of that work was necessary and that only one small area needed to be monitored. The difference between those two evaluations was alarming. Recommending large amounts of unnecessary dental work goes beyond poor judgment -- it's unethical. What makes this even more concerning is that the dentist at this office has been suspended by the Ohio State Dental Board and is currently practicing under probation for documented violations involving patient care. This is public information anyone can verify on the Ohio State Dental Board website. Please research carefully before choosing this office. Patients deserve to know this information when choosing a healthcare provider. This review is based on my personal experience and publicly available disciplinary records from the Ohio State Dental Board.

Decided to get another opinion, as I have only had one cavity in my life and had no pain or sensitivity. Saw another dentist that said no cavities at all. Decided to go to one more dentist for a "tie breaker" and that dentist also confirmed absolutely no cavities, even did Xrays to confirm. I feel conned by this place even to this day, several years later so decided to write a review when I saw the name come up in a search I was doing. To this day, many years later, I still have no cavities. I feel this place is just about grabbing as much money for you as possible and seems to want to do unnecessary dental work. Would not recommend them at all and if you do go and they tell you that you need a bunch of dental work, GET ANOTHER OPINION before you waste your hard earned money.

Hands-down the best dental visit I have had in my life. The whole office was awesome helping me…read morefigure out what I needed to do to get my smile back to where I would be loving it again. My first appointment was centered around looking at my dental problems and a cleaning. The hygienist was very thorough with the X-rays, photos, and cleaning. I had never had photos before at a dentist's office and I saw my teeth in a way only dentists get to see them. She showed me the X-rays and photos and she made me feel like I was involved in recognizing the problems and solutions. The dentist I met was engaging and spent time reviewing the information the hygienist had gathered and again discussed what needed to be done and outcomes. He answered all my questions without me even having to ask. The whole appointment took about an hour and half but itcertainly did not feel that long. I felt very comfortable with the plan and I have scheduled my follow-up appointments. I would recommend this establishment to my closest friends and family.

I was a little nervous finding a new dentist since moving to the area two years ago and I am so thankful I ended up here. From the first phone call with the receptionist, to seeing the hygienist and the doctor, to the final checkout the whole experience was AMAZING. The staff has an uncanny way of developing rapport that I have not encountered at any medical/dental office in the past. They made me feel like the most important patient being seen that day and this was only my first visit! I know I had a little catch-up work to be done in my mouth however the staff and doctor presented the treatment in a thorough, constructive, and reassuring way. The dentist showed me my xrays and photos to better help me understand what needed to be done and how to prevent other issues from reoccurring. It was refreshing to have a doctor sit with me and take time to explain in layman's terms what they were seeing and the reasoning behind the recommendations. I felt like I was personally involved in the decision making process for the plan. Even though that was my first appointment I felt as comfortable as if I had been seeing them for my whole life. #ThanksVitaDental

First visit 6 months ago for a cleaning but no cleaning took place. I was told while I was in the chair that the first visit was just a comprehensive exam... Which 1 - they didn't say that on the phone when I specifically made an appt for a cleaning and if true, why did my wife two weeks prior on her first visit get a cleaning on her first visit ...math ain't mathing... So when I did get a cleaning , the dentist was asking about my x rays not matching, they had the wrong X-rays attached to my file so they said they wood take new ones, I said I already had X-rays in 2025 and the dentist said no problem, they wouldn't bill me if insurance didn't pay... 3 weeks later I get a bill for the X-rays... called Karen and was told they would waive the fee, this time ...very rude! At that cleaning I made my 6 month appt which was today, 11:10, ... show up..no appt... the front desk went and got Karen She came out hot, told me I didn't have an appt scheduled and after a 30 sec discussion, she said I haven't been happy since I walked in the door 6 months ago ago, I didn't have an appt scheduled and let her know where I wanted my x rays sent that I was no longer a patient...after I responded to that, she threatened to call 911 if I didn't leave!

I have dreaded/hated the dentist ever since I was a small girl. It got so bad that eventually I…read morewas avoiding dentists as much as possible, putting of cleanings till the last possible minute, and only filling cavities when they got bad. When I was younger my dentist was not very gentle and the pain from anesthetic shots and the grinding form numerous fillings were engraved in my brain instilling the afore mentioned fear. This fear continued as an adult until about two months ago when I went in to see Dr. McIntosh for a consult on straightening my smile. You see my pediatric dentist was an apparent idiot as he never recommended me for braces despite my overbite saying it was too small to make a difference. As the years went on this problem caused teeth to grow in differently and crowd etc etc and in the last year my smile started to appear crooked...... Dr. McIntosh is in the process of fixing my smile without making me undergo the two years of braces that the general orthodontist recommended. She too told me that in order to fix my bite perfectly that the braces were the best way to go but since my bite itself doesn't bother me I opted to get them cosmetically fixed and to use a retainer. So far I am so happy with the results!!!! More importantly I want to note that Dr. McIntosh and her staff have re instilled my faith in dentistry. After just two appointments with her I quickly decided to make her my general dentist for the following reasons! 1) Her staff is so friendly, patient, and don't speak to the patients in a demeaning or condescending fashion. Unlike so many other doctor and dentists offices I have experienced I never feel like I will walk out of Dr. McIntosh's only to have the staff whisper about how I was late or how I was loud etc etc etc...... 2) The environment is so friendly!!!!!!!!!!! a)Dr. McIntosh equips her rooms with a television for long procedures and has a list of movies from which patients can pick to watch or they are welcome to bring their own. There is also the option to listen to any radio station you may want to. b) The staff makes sure you are completely comfortable during your visit by offering you such things as: blankets to stay warm while being checked out; coffee and waters while you wait along with the traditional extensive array of magazines; the not so traditional alcove with a video game system for kids to play on while they wait; fresh gourmet cookies paired with cookie sleeves imprinted with her offices information in case you need to grab that cookie as you leave. 3) The technology at her office is up to date allowing the staff to take digital pictures and project them almost instantaneously onto the television screen above the dentist chair so you can see exactly what the doctor sees as she goes over your teeth. 4) Dr. McIntosh herself is personable, caring, and a perfectionist. You can tell that she cares about each of her patients and takes pride in her work. She rather take up more of her time at her expense then make a person leave her office with teeth she is not proud to call her own. She is warm and understanding and goes the extra mile to make sure her patients feel no pain or discomfort and are happy with their results!!!!!!!!! PS...........I love the dentist now:)
