We visited this place because they have reptile show. Big library with lot's of book collection. They have NASA setup in the middle. Good information about NASA. Definitely will visit again. The library in the same parking lot with city hall. Little bit confusing for the first timer

One of my family's favorite libraries Great location right next to the shoppes They always have such a fun variety of events, classes and actives for kids all year round It's a great big space in the kids area too for kids to play with all the space themed buttons and lots of seating areas to sit and enjoy the books or do homework Love all the different promotions they have to help encourage the kids to want to read and check out books

I know I'm a bit late to share my thoughts, but I wanted to highlight this wonderful library I visited just before the holiday season. Hence, picture of the Christmas tree! =) The location of the library is perfect--right next to city hall--and makes it easy to swing by after grocery shopping at Trader Joe's or grabbing delicious ramen at Silverlake Ramen or pizza at California Pizza Kitchen. Parking is ample, with a nearby garage for convenience. While the main lot can get busy, it's heartwarming to see such a strong sense of community, with mothers, fathers, and grandparents gathered in the read-aloud section in front of the library. Inside, the atmosphere was lively and inviting, and I was impressed by the selection of books. The "Friends of the Library" program is particularly noteworthy; if you're unfamiliar with it, it's essentially a fantastic used bookstore where you can find incredible deals on gently used books! Overall, this library is a true gem in the community, and I highly recommend stopping by if you haven't had the chance yet. You might just find your next favorite read!

Came here today to do story and craft and it does not seem like they were prepared for the crowd that was there. There was hardly enough tables and people were crowding. The air was probably on, but it was so stuffy in there. Wont come for crafts will do at home. They do have a cool space shuttle simulator with a projector inside but it wasn't on.

As a parent I adore this library, many activities for kids. Library events are a blast! You can download the library app and join in on reading programs like 1000 books before kindergarten which gives cute incentives for reading milestones. If you're an adult looking for a place to study I would get as far away from the front of the library and kids section as possible and avoid coming after school hours since it becomes a hot spot for the near by high school students. Overall this is a clean, cool, well organized and friendly community environment and a great place for kids. Also shout out to the staff for always being kind and helpful. Also also, you'll need to stop in to grab an event calendar as they are not posted online.

I wanted to visit a friend in town and decided to work from here for a few hours as to avoid traffic. It's a great space to work from, there's plenty of seating and outlets for your electronics. I sat by the window and there were outlets at the base and they looked a little older, but they work. I decided to get a library card and Sophia helped me out and she was so spunky and nice and she called me friend, it was a really pleasant experience! She also explained to me the different benefits of the card like checking stuff out from the library of things and logging onto the cloud app to access E-books and/or audio books. They also have crochet & knitting meet-up here. Parking was easy and located behind the library.

I guess I've been to this library twice now, and am also getting old. I visited this time around because my book was the One Book, One Ontario pick for 2025. It was a huge honor to have my book selected, and I was very happy to participate in the author event last month and meet so many lovely, thoughtful readers. Librarian Starla Villalba did a wonderful job both organizing and moderating the event. She also decked out the main entryway of the library with displays themed around my book, all designed to engage community members. I love libraries and love to see them thriving due to the hard work of passionate librarians. The Ovitt Family Commmunity Library is a valuable resource for the people of Ontario. I live a little far away, but life is long, I'm sure I'll be back again someday.

Many people praise the kids' area and family-friendly programming, and there's also a great used-book nook run by Friends of Yorba Linda Public Library Book Corner that's perfect for finding cheap finds and supporting local programs. There are also useful services like passport processing, study rooms, public computers, and events for all ages, which go beyond what some smaller libraries offer and make it a hub for different members of the community. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that, like many popular libraries, it can get crowded during peak hours, and I've heard a few rare comments from other visitors saying staff interactions upstairs haven't always been great though most experiences I've seen are positive overall. Overall, it's a comfortable, well-stocked library with good amenities and a welcoming community atmosphere definitely worth a visit if you want a quiet place to read, study, take the kids, or just hang out.

The difference was immediate. The atmosphere felt calm, focused, and peaceful. It honestly felt like stepping into study heaven. For anyone who needs a consistently quiet environment to work or study, this has easily been one of the quietest libraries I've experienced in Los Angeles County. I spent many long hours here preparing for my medical board exams, so I really came to appreciate the environment. The layout offers a great mix of larger tables and individual study cubbies, and there are outlets available which makes settling in for long study sessions much easier. The library also feels very safe, likely because of its location next to City Hall and the fact that it sits a bit tucked away from the busiest parts of town. There are entrances in both the front and back, and I personally found the quieter seating area on the left side when entering from the back to be my favorite spot, especially the tables near the windows where you still get that nice natural light during the day. The staff has always been friendly and helpful as well. I believe one of the librarians named Jen really helped maintain a welcoming atmosphere. One thing I appreciate about this location is that they take maintaining a focused study environment seriously. For example, eating isn't allowed inside the library, which helps keep things clean and minimizes distractions. There is a garden area outside and you can always step outside for a quick snack break. After spending many hours here, I started to notice some of the daily rhythms of the building. The restrooms are impressively clean, which deserves a shout out to whoever keeps them maintained. The library also has a small bookstore run separately from the library itself, which is a fun little feature if you happen to stop by while it's open. If there were a few small improvements that could make an already great space even better, they would mostly relate to sound consistency. Because this is such a quiet library overall, small sounds can stand out more than they normally would. Occasionally conversations at the service desks or phones ringing can carry across the room, and sometimes outside maintenance work can be heard from the garden area. Nothing that ruins the experience, but little adjustments there could make an already peaceful environment even more ideal for studying. I also noticed that the closing announcements can be a bit startling if you're deep in concentration, so maybe a softer chime before the announcement could make it feel a bit smoother. Another thing that could help maintain the quiet atmosphere is occasionally reminding visitors with young children that certain sections are intended for quiet study. The kids' area is nicely separated, which already helps a lot, and a gentle reminder here and there would probably keep everything running smoothly. Overall, I'm genuinely grateful for this library. The long hours are fantastic. Being open until the evening made it possible for me to have full study days here when preparing for my boards. Yes, it was a bit of a drive from West Covina, but it was absolutely worth it for the calm environment and the ability to truly focus. Diamond Bar Library became one of my go to study spots, and it's a place I'll definitely remember fondly.
