You don't come to a library to talk first of all The two librarians were talking for a good 30 mins. I arrived on Tuesday, December 15th after 5pm. Granted, they were not very loud, but you can hear consistent whispering through the silence. I should not have to use my ear plugs at a library.... The guy sitting behind us decides to have a loud phone call for who knows how long. Long enough to be annoying and disrupt my studying. Can we be espectful in a library please? Just go outside or stay home. I am here to study and I purposely left my house to focus. Usually a wonderful experience, but just not the best today if you wanted a fully quiet place to study. I will come again, just not another Tuesday night.

Henceforth,…read moreI've always been partial to visiting these institutions, which led to me selecting this location to collect vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots for the Riverside Registrar of Voters leading up to the Presidential Primary Election in early 2024. I spent many hours observing the patrons and employees, as well as wandering the facility, and these are the results. First, the location is excellent. Not far from the municipal buildings, fairly close to the 91 Freeway, and on the lower edge of the sloping foothills that makes Corona one of the least efficient cities to travel around. Fortunately, the library doesn't share that flaw. Inside is a long hallway lined with the circulation desk and many displays of artwork and Lego models. These are rotating decor, but it's fun to watch kids casting votes for the best item. Another grand hallway joins perpendicular to the main one and this leads to the extensive children's section, and also has passport services and a sizeable Friends of the Library bookstore (separate review for that). Computers, conference rooms, instructional classrooms, and study rooms are available. A couple other favorite areas Include the large boardgame section and Teens area with its impressive selection of Manga anime and studyhall. Even if the same bad middleschool kids got kicked out almost daily for being loud and obnoxious, it was entertaining. A co-worker commented one day after the second or third incident: "There's the instigator, the girl with the red sneakers." Good times. On a personal note, it's nice seeing that some kids still read and enjoy visiting the local library.

My love was looking for a book and that branch did not have it available but another one did so the guy said to just place a book request & it would get shipped there!!! Had to check in the front & there was if I remember correctly an hour time limit. He said it was okay because it was slow for a Tuesday evening.

They assisted me with getting my official library card and went the extra mile in getting me a Cantonese language guide that was not on the shelf or checked out. It took them just 4 minutes to go in the bank and locate it. The library is clean and has a lot of sunlight coming in. They have a good variety of books. The patrons at this location seemed respectful and followed the rules. Loved the little Friends of the Library bookstore to the left upon entry that sells vinyls, DVDs and books to support the library. Love the indoor and outdoor parking. Love that the Starbucks is within walking distance as are some lovely restaurants and stores in Victoria Gardens. Loved this Library!!!!!

In the afternoon I got to go inside read with the AC going while I waited for my sister to pick me up. They currently did an upgrade on the chairs, which is a nice touch. They have 3 study rooms in he back, you just have ask to see if their available. They do have wifi and computers available for you to use on the spot, you just have to log in with your library card. I like this branch because it's connected to so many other one's in the Riverside county, if there is a book I can't find in this location one or many of the other branches will have it and all I have to do is put a hold on it. It will be brought over to Glen Avon and I'll pick it up. I mostly do all my searching and renewals online.

I wanted to visit a friend in town and decided to work from here for a few hours as to avoid traffic. It's a great space to work from, there's plenty of seating and outlets for your electronics. I sat by the window and there were outlets at the base and they looked a little older, but they work. I decided to get a library card and Sophia helped me out and she was so spunky and nice and she called me friend, it was a really pleasant experience! She also explained to me the different benefits of the card like checking stuff out from the library of things and logging onto the cloud app to access E-books and/or audio books. They also have crochet & knitting meet-up here. Parking was easy and located behind the library.

I guess I've been to this library twice now, and am also getting old. I visited this time around because my book was the One Book, One Ontario pick for 2025. It was a huge honor to have my book selected, and I was very happy to participate in the author event last month and meet so many lovely, thoughtful readers. Librarian Starla Villalba did a wonderful job both organizing and moderating the event. She also decked out the main entryway of the library with displays themed around my book, all designed to engage community members. I love libraries and love to see them thriving due to the hard work of passionate librarians. The Ovitt Family Commmunity Library is a valuable resource for the people of Ontario. I live a little far away, but life is long, I'm sure I'll be back again someday.

Now that I'm older it feels smaller but it has plenty of space for studying and just getting away from your family when you're visiting from out of town during the holidays and getting work done. It's a great 3rd space that's not a coffee shop. I visited this location on the weekend and I was able to concentrate and get work done at one of the cubicle desks. There were outlets in each one so I had plenty of places to charge all my electronics. The area I was in was very quiet so it was ideal for concentration. I recently worked out of the Ontario library and while that one is bigger, it's more crowded and not as clean as the Rancho library. I would definitely recommend this space for studying and it's great for young kids as they always have events going on here throughout the month!
