If you're looking for something different to do on date night why not check this place out…read more You arrive at the Orange Tree Resort (a townhouse type time share resort) and find a room full of tables set up for dinner. You're given a funny name at check-in and assigned a table. The show starts and there are breaks during which the same actors serve dinner to the audience. Three course meal, first the salad, second course chicken, mashed potatoes & veggies and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Cash bar in the corner, open all night. Food was good, nothing fancy, hotel banquet room type food. The acting was good, the puns were funny. During dessert you guess who the killer is (there are forms & pencils at every table) and there are two winners. I guessed correctly and got a ticket for a future event! Woohoo!!

At first glance, not much too much.. just a sign that says Murder and a Meal and a big room filled with dinner tables, etc. However, from the minute you step inside, the characters walk around the room and start to engage with the audience. Show is very entertaining and hysterical. They even called my boyfriend up to participate as a French waiter.. it was hilarious. We enjoyed the three course meal as part of the experience. The main course (Chicken Florentine) was delicious. Great for a date night or girlfriends night out especially when you are looking to laugh!

Is dance dad a thing? 'cause if it is, it's not really something I go around advertising to people,…read morebut I guess you guys can keep my secret, right? Shhhh... As a freshly sprung adult all those years ago, I used to think, I wish there was a class for people called "don't look like an idiot on the dance floor". While I never did find and admittedly, I didn't really search for either, a class aimed at young adults who don't want to look like an idiot on the dance floor, I somehow fumbled my way through my 20s, had a child in my 30s who is now a budding primary schooler. I thought to myself, what are all the really important things in life that a man should know how to do and somehow "don't look like an idiot on the dance floor" came to mind -- so here I am. A middle aged man sitting in the waiting area of a dance studio while my grade schooler learns how to dance. Sure, he looks cool doing it, he's learning coordination, he's part of a team of kids doing something together, he's getting his energy out in a productive way, he's cart wheeling, front rolling, hand standing, back bending, stomping, popping, locking, pointing in a hip-hop-esq way but what is most important here is that when he becomes an adult, he'll be able to roll up to da club and show up all those other posers who only wish that they "didn't look like an idiot on the dance floor". No amount of best value for your money, conveniently located hip-hop, tumbling, tap, or ballet classes can even compare to the satisfaction he will have when he's in his 20s and ruling the roost. To my 21 year old son making bad decisions in life, I dedicate this review to you. Now please just let me get through these multiple days per week watching you fumble around on the dance floor trying to keep up with the kids next to you while you shake your tiny little groove thing!

Yes, you read that right - even after two years, I'm still discovering new techniques, insights, & skills with each class! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the kindness & supportiveness of everyone - teachers, students, & staff - is ridiculously kind & supportive. It's like walking into a big ol' hug! Matt & Brian, are total rockstars. They're genuine, talented, & have helped me grow not just as an actor but as a person too (which is just as important). The classes are engaging, challenging, & fun! I've learned so much & seen major improvement in my craft. But what really sets Dearing apart is the community vibe. Everyone is super nice, supportive, & genuinely invested in each other's success. It's like we're all in this together! If you're thinking about acting classes, check out Dearing Acting Studio. Trust me, you won't regret it!

Luckily we did CYT in San Diego and loved it we were thrilled to see there was a CYT in Arizona! The classes are amazing and the shows are unparalleled! The kids get to do shows at Mesa Arts Center which is so incredible all the kids feel like professionals. It's a must see event! Volunteering is the most rewarding part of CYT for me. You get to interact with the kids and families on a whole other level. I met so many incredible people that have now become like family and it's just the most incredible feeling. Both my daughters have said they've never felt more at home or accepted for who they are. They just adore everyone at CYT and have built incredible friendships and built their confidence up beyond belief.

The family friends we have made here are for life. We have been through so much together in working toward putting on quality shows. The acting, singing, dancing, costumes, sets, staging, lights, sound and the venue all make up an award winning theatrical experience. And for us to be working together as a family, it doesn't get better!
