Choosing DJ Mistry as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made! We knew we needed someone who could match the never-ending energy of our friends and family, and after seeing his work and speaking with him, it was clear he was the perfect fit. From the start, he was incredibly easy to work with. He was flexible, responsive, and invested in making our vision come to life. He provided a clear timeline that kept us on track, documented every song request, and was alway willing to find ways to elevate our ideas. The music was phenomenal all weekend! DJ Mistry seamlessly blended traditional and modern Bollywood with American music, perfectly matching the vibe of every event--from the Mehendi and Haldi to the Sangeet, wedding ceremony, and reception. In addition, he played the dhol really well at our baraat! He did an incredible job keeping the dance floor packed, and we have had countless guests tell us how much fun they had because of the atmosphere he created! He also offered additional services including custom vinyl wraps and other lighting needs. Our reception dance floor wrap was not only beautiful, but also affordable and completely transformed our space. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and wholeheartedly recommend Mehul to anyone looking for an stress-free planning experience and an unforgettable celebration! read more

The best DJ in the valley! did an amazing job for our wedding and would absolutely recommend to anyone!

DJ Mistry (Mehul) came highly recommended and did not disappoint for our destination wedding experience. We booked him for our sangeet, wedding ceremony/baraat, and reception. Mehul also played dhol for the baraat and everyone enjoyed it! He had multiple calls with the two of us to get a feel for our vibe, was very organized in gathering song choices, requests, and ideas (sending over a spreadsheet and making sure we stayed on track so that we could get the feeling we wanted), went over the timelines and pronunciations so that everything went smooth day-of, was a hit with our guests, and was affordable! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Mehul (DJ Mistry)! He was super engaged up front answering all of our questions and building our confidence in the process. He sent over a spreadsheet for us to fill out with additional details on what we were looking for and then turned that guidance into an absolute party. Anyone who is shopping for Wedding DJ services, I cannot stress enough that Boar's Head's slogan of "Compromise elsewhere" applies here. DJ Mistry is 100% worth the value he asks. I did not fully appreciate until the day of our wedding just how much of the experience was driven from behind the DJ booth. Sure, curating playlists based on our input is a critical component of it. But it's not just the music for the reception, it was a background setlist for the cocktail hour, timing of entrances for the ceremony, making sure the priest was mic'ed and clear, making sure the toasts worked with some background music in between to keep guests engaged, our grand entrance to the reception, first dances etc. Everything about the event went on the time table of our wedding planner and the DJ. Also, turning those inputs for the reception into dance tracks, mash-ups, vibes, crescendos, moments to remember, and blending it all together was one of the crown Jewels of our event and something that many of our guests commented and asked about days after as a significant highlight. Anyone who may be planning an Indian wedding or fusion wedding, Mehul perfectly blended Bollywood hits that got all the Aunties and Uncles to the dance floor along with all the mid 2000's party anthem tracks of our college years (our request) so that everyone had an amazing time and felt included. He also made it super easy - two Google Docs pages of guidance and he turned that into everything audio/visual for the 14 hours of ceremony and reception. We could not be happier with the result and Mehul, we are so grateful for the unforgettable experience you gave us! read more

We are so excited to share our experience with Mehul aka DJ Mistry. He played a huge role during our wedding events to the point that we had to write out a detailed review because he was that awesome.   Throughout all of our events, he understood the importance of Indian traditions and based on our pre-wedding phone calls, he catered the music to highlight all of the special moments that we wanted.   The Sangeet night started with a high energy Jago entrance that had everyone dancing from the start. The transitions were seamlessly mixed, reflecting DJ Mistry's expertise and dedication. He also offered a variety of lighting options which really helped with our outdoor evening event. His recommendations were so helpful. During the Baraat, he was able to hype up the crowd and it was the perfect start to the wedding day. At the reception, DJ Mistry really showcased his versatility. He was incredible - with his mixing between timeless classics, top hits, Bhangra bangers and hip hop, our dance floor was packed the entire night. His dholi was fire - from the baraat and the reception, our guests loved him and the duo was complemented the entire night.   One of the standout elements was the vinyl floor wrap at our reception. It was a unique aesthetic element and was a gorgeous dance floor that brought the décor all together. He worked with our decor team to make sure the colors complemented the rest of the room and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out.   When researching DJs for our wedding, we cared a lot about audio quality, as my husband was a former DJ back in his college/grad school days. Mehul gave us a huge surprise when he let my husband DJ a short set list during our reception. It was such a fun experience and all of our guests loved it, definitely a moment we won't forget! Look no further, because DJ Mistry's speakers + sub ensured that the music was crystal clear and we didn't have any hiccups with sound, microphones, or lighting. DJ Mistry demonstrated a high level of professionalism, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to providing a memorable experience. He took the time to understand our needs and expectations, which was evident throughout our wedding weekend.   We recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a DJ who can transform their event into an unforgettable celebration! read more

Mehul was an incredible DJ at our wedding in Scottsdale! He was very organized, timely, and detail-oriented with regards to planning and he also was very personable and easy to get along with. He was able to understand the vibes that we wanted for each of our events and then execute well on creating those. His music choice/taste is really good and the vibes were amazing at each of our events, especially the reception! read more

DJ Mistry is the absolute best! We originally hired Mehul because we knew we could trust him after he did our sister's wedding over ten years ago. We knew having him fly from Arizona to San Diego, CA would be worth it but we never could've imagined how he would create the perfect atmosphere for each of our wedding events. We couldn't have made a better choice. During the planning process, Mehul was remarkably responsive, organized and patient, always ensuring we stayed on track. He worked with us every step of the way, not only from the music we wanted for each event but he also helped curate everything from flooring to lighting and everything else in between. We felt that he made it his mission to make everything we could dream of truly come to life. In fact, we even decided to add an LED wall at our reception late in the process & he made it happen and provided creative suggestions that transformed our reception into an entirely new world. He made sure to be proactive with any provisions our venue required and had solutions to any obstacle that came up. What truly set Mehul apart was his attention to detail and thoughtful surprises. From surprising us with a Dholi at our reception to suggesting twinkle lights for our LED background to blend into our curtains to being our biggest hype man at every event, he went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend truly magical. Moreover, Mehul has not just been a DJ, but he has become family throughout this journey. It always brings a smile to our faces when Mehul texts to wish us on holidays or just to check in to see how we are doing. His warmth, professionalism, and dedication made us feel confident and relaxed on our special day. We are forever grateful for his incredible talent and friendship. Thank you, Mehul, for creating memories that will last a lifetime! read more

DJ Mistry was very responsive and professional. He kept the dance floor alive with his music mixes and energy. He was open to feedback and asked appropriate questions. We loved working with him and would highly recommend him to future couples getting married or for anyone who wants a lively dance floor! We had an amazing experience and couldn't have asked for anything better. read more

Hiring DJ Mistry for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Mehul has an amazing reputation that precedes him, so we originally heard of him through friends. Our first conversation with Mehul told us how passionate he was about music, entertaining, and providing a memorable experience to his clients and their guests. He paid particularly close attention to the vibes we hoped to have during each event. With Mehul, you get both music and production, which helped make each event a cohesive and unique experience. He is clearly passionate about his job. Frequently, during the planning process, he would reach out to me and my husband with production ideas that he had to enhance the events. His creativity really shined and we are so glad we took so many of his ideas. Our reception entrance was actually thought up by him! He also connected us with our dholi and the violinist who played during our cocktail hour. Mehul was constantly in touch with us throughout the process and would go out of his way to make himself available at virtually any time if we had questions or concerns. During the events, we were able to trust him to handle any problem that arose, including getting a last minute MC when we needed one and handling day-of decor/staging issues with other vendors. Perhaps the most significant thing we took away from our meetings with him is how hard he works to make sure that his client's events are truly their own. He made every aspect of the night as customizable for us as possible. During the ceremony dinner, he played an original track he created and was sung by his friend, and for days afterwards our friends and guests were texting us asking where they could get that track. Small touches like this made our wedding so memorable. Our wedding week was phenomenal. Everything went extremely well and without any hiccups. Mehul and his team did an excellent job setting the tone for each night. The music choice was amazing and the dance floor stayed packed from beginning to end. We continue to get compliments about how much fun the wedding was and how unforgettable our DJ was. Thank you DJ Mistry for making such an important moment in our lives as incredible as it could possibly be! read more

Mehul and his team were absolutely amazing, I could not have asked for anything better! I found Mehul over a year before my wedding and reached out. He staying in touch throughout that time, sending ideas and getting to know my husband and I so he could make the experience on our wedding night a great one. The setup looked amazing and the music was incredible, our guests, including my grandmother and her siblings who never dance at weddings, could not stop dancing! Thank you Mehul, you made our wedding truly the best night! :) read more

TLDR: Mehul is an amazing guy, easy to work with, reasonably priced, flexible and has BOMB taste in music. He is a valuable addition to your wedding team and will not disappoint! The novel: Our planner, Tejel, recommended Mehul to us as a DJ that she frequently worked with. From the first introduction, Mehul promptly worked with Arham and I to set up a virtual consultation and put together a contract for us to review within 24 hours. This was about 1 year prior to our scheduled wedding and before we had hired a decorator. Since our initial contract, we had hired a decorator and as our vision for the wedding came more to life, we were making additions to our contract up until 2 weeks before the wedding. When we first hired Mehul, we limited our requests to music and lighting, but soon we realized he provides way more than that. When we were first considering an LED wall for our reception décor with our decorator, we thought we would have to find an alternate because it was pushing us over our budget. When we mentioned this to Mehul, he promptly started asking around was able to bring his team from AZ to LA for half the! Thanks to Mehul, our vision of having an LED wall to play our same day edit and having cool visuals during our open dance floor came to life! 2 weeks before the wedding, Mehul worked with us during crunch time to create amazing visuals for our reception. When he learned that we loved Marvel and wanted our grand entrance song to be a Tesher Avengers/Bhangra remix, he started working on an amazing Avengers themed entrance video using our logo and our names and it was AMAZING (can't post it to this review but check out his insta to see this). We were shocked when we saw it and our guests went crazy! Mehul did this without any prompting and it made such a huge difference at our wedding. Mehul makes BOMB mixes and has impeccable taste in music. He was able to play all the requested songs on our list with seamless transitions and kept our guests on the dance floor ALL NIGHT. People didn't want the party to end even after midnight, and this was a crowd that woke up for a 7:30AM wedding that same day. His light show on the video wall made Arham and I feel like we were at a rave, which is exactly what we asked for! Mehul possesses 15/10 communication skills. He responds to emails and text messages promptly, confirms receipt of payment instantaneously and is genuinely an awesome dude who is fun to talk to. Mehul is 100% the perfect addition to any event - he will work with you to provide the vibes you're looking for and keep your audience happy and lit! We love working with Mehul and will hire him for any future events we have! read more

Mehul was the partner of our dreams for our wedding. Our wedding moved at the last moment to the US, and we had no knowledge of Arizona vendors. Mehul came highly recommended and we could see why once we started to work together. From the beginning he answered all our questions promptly and with care, and went the extra mile to connect us to decorators, florists and coordinators that he has worked with. During the event, the execution was impeccable. We still get compliments on the music choices, and Mehul kept the party going! The music cues for performances and programming were right on time, the sparklers and dance floor were fantastic, and his dhol was a guest favorite. We would recommend working with Mehul to truly everyone. Don't think, just book!! read more

Both my husband and I are so glad we hired Mehul and his team to work with us to make our dream wedding come to life! We had talked to a few other teams in the area but Mehul's professionalism and quick communication (especially via text since I am horrible at email) really sold us. He came with a great review from Ravi's friend so that solidified it for us. Mehul and his team did the music/lighting for our sangeet, wedding, and our reception. During the entire process I felt comfortable knowing that Mehul is an expert at what he does and would address any issues that may arise. Mehul has great music selection and was able to help us pick out more recent and fun Indian songs since both Ravi & I haven't kept up much with the Indian music scene in the past 10 years. I truly appreciate how honest and upfront he was on the things that would really take our events to the next level but stay within our budget. We had a pretty tight budget for lighting and Mehul was able to make great recommendations for us to ensure everything looked great. He went above and beyond for us. We were having a difficult time securing vendors since many of them were already booked and Mehul gave us suggestions for other vendors to reach out to. We booked Mehul about 10 months out from our wedding and since day 1 he kept in touch with us sending frequent reminders and any ideas that he thought we would like. Up until the week before the wedding he was helping us add things to our contract and finalize everything. Also shoutout to Adithya, who was the violinist for our wedding and cocktail hour. Our guests absolutely loved his talent and his ability to execute our song choices (especially gangsters paradise for one the entry's). He also served as a last minute MC because we def dropped the ball on finding one. Thank you for making our wedding weekend more than anything we could have imagined and keeping our guests on the dance floor until midnight! For anyone looking for a great DJ & entertainment team I highly recommend Mehul & team! read more

Mehul was great to work with! We are a South Indian couple and we wanted a DJ who would be able to offer a South Indian feel to our music/dance floor. Mehul listened to our requests and was very organized with all of the different events. In addition, we had very specific music for our South Indian ceremony that Mehul was more than willing to accommodate. Our dance floor had so much energy and we are grateful for Mehul's help with that. Thank you Mehul!! read more

Mehul and his team were PHENOMENAL. He definitely went the extra mile for our wedding in San Diego. He was professional and kept true to playing the music we wanted and even let us use one of his speakers to keep the party going even after his contracted time was up. The extra touch of sparklers made for amazing pictures! Also extremely easy to communicate with. Thanks for making our wedding weekend extra special! read more

Mehul and his team were first off amazing. Mehul was not only a good person to work with but an enjoyable person to hang out with. Some of the things he went above and beyond with were we had a difficult time having the fire flare works go off at our venue. He made it happen and we didn't even have to be involved in the process. He asked did we want it and it happened. Another highlight he mixed our entry songs for us at the reception and essentially picked them as well. He was able to so easily and eloquently incorporate both Indian and Cuban music. We had so much on our mind and didn't even think about specific songs and his attention to detail was exquisite. The care and genuine interest he showed in us as a couple is one of the main reasons I would recommend him. He continued to follow up with us not only about music and lighting but to make sure other things such as decor were going well throughout the wedding planning. Working with Mehul was a pleasure and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

DJ Mistry - Reception grand finale! - DJs Near Me

Our wedding planner recommended Mehul, and Mehul only, when we started to search for our other vendors... and after our first call with him, we immediately understood why. He was laidback, customer focused, and so easy to work with! He kept our dancefloor packed all night -- even after we asked so many of our guests to wake up before DAWN because we had a long day ahead of us. Only good music and good vibes are able to do that. No matter what you're looking for, Mehul's got you covered. I'd recommend him to everyone and anyone in a heartbeat!!! read more

Mehul was our DJ for our baraat, wedding, and reception and did a phenomenal job! I found Mehul through instagram about a year before our wedding and anytime we had a question/needed help with ANYTHING related to the wedding planning process, Mehul was always SO QUICK to respond back to our texts. He was more helpful and knowledgable about all things related to South Asian weddings than our wedding planners. His extensive experience as a DJ made us feel comfortable working with him and trusting his judgment on so many of the decisions we needed to make. His team did our stage wrap & dance floor wrap and provided the lighting, uplights, cold sparklers, dry ice fog and projector screen to play our Same-Day Edit at the reception. He listened to all our requests and was SUPER easy and flexible to work with. The music he played was amazing/vibey and he kept the dance floor LIT all night long. One of his team members took so much content on the dance floor and created an awesome instagram reel for us to recap our reception night and serve as a memory for us forever. 10/10 would recommend Mehul to be your DJ!! read more

Mehul did a fantastic job at our recent wedding in Las Vegas. He was organized and made it clear exactly what he needed leading up to each event. His music choice for the Sangeet, Baraat, and wedding reception was excellent. The mixture of Indian, American, and Reggaeton music, as well as the integration of the Dhol drum, kept guests dancing all night. His accomplice, DJ Dev, was also excellent. I would highly recommend. read more

We cannot thank Mehul and his team enough for the amazing party they threw for our wedding! The dance floor was NEVER empty! Mehul took the time to meet with us before our event to get a sense of our music preferences and even made some wonderful recommendations for the ceremony. We received MANY compliments from our friends and family on the music choices. The guests danced the night away and after nearly five months since the wedding we are still getting compliments on Mehul's great work! Highly Recommend. read more

He worked well with our other vendors and was flexible with last minute unplanned changes. First and foremost Mehul and his team are the best/ most thorough/ friendly team to work with. Wedding planning is fun but can get very exhausting. I never felt like that during my planning because of the help from Mehul. He doesn't treat you like a client but yet his friend and truly wants this day/days to be the best for the couple and their family and friends. Unfortunately due to COVID we had multiple date changes but despite that, he was always accommodating to us. He thought of things I didn't even know to think about. He customized our wedding aisle, dance floor, reception stage, and dj booth. His attention to detail is like no other. You will not go wrong with having Mehul and his team as your entertainment at any of your events! Thanks so much Mehul. It was a pleasure working with you! read more

All my guests loved the music and were on the dance floor the whole night. Our wedding was indian but our guests were mixed and Mehul made sure there was something for everyone. A lot of my friends and family said they didn't even really eat because they were so busy dancing. Mehul also had a Dhol player who was really a hit and played though out the night even though we had only wanted him for our entry. All in all it was a great party and a lot fun was had. Its hard to get a blazing review these days as customer expectations are too high. And I am glad to provide one for Jhakaas Entertainment and their DJ Mehul. Couldn't have been better, he rocked. Mehul met with us prior to the even to learn our taste. The playlist was tailored according to our preference. He kept the guests engaged, music and lighting was perfect. Plus the dhol effect with the music was perfect. He knows his trade, the music was perfect. I will admit I'm hard to impress when it comes to deliverables, but Mehul way exceeded my expectations. He is probably the best DJ in AZ when it comes to Indian music. His knowledge about the songs, blending Indian and English songs, transition from one song to the next was perfect.
