Was looking for options to dispose of tile, drywall, and an old vanity from a bathroom remodel. Went through all of the junk removal businesses and found no quotes for less than $200. I thought I could do a bit better.
I found James G Grant and figured I'd give it a shot. It's a bit intimidating at first given the visuals-- heavy machinery everywhere, large piles of all different materials, etc. but folks were happy to help. This is one of the places where all of the commercial junk removal businesses bring their materials and then do a healthy up-charge for the convenience.
I went in to the office, asked for what the process was and was told to drive on to the scale. Once the weight registered, I got a thumbs up and then followed the One Way signs to the dumping area for construction materials. I backed in, dumped everything, and then back to the scale.
Drove through the scale again, another thumbs up, and then parked and went to the office for payment. The price was very reasonable. Only about $60. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes. I was very happy with the experience and highly recommend if people in the Boston area have to dispose of larger materials and have a means to transport them. read more
