He got a photocopy of my ID, I got cash, everybody was happy. So far I seem to go through wheels on this car about every 4 years, so I hope HH&M is still around in 2020. Recycling here was a way, way more pleasant experience than when I recycled my first set of rims back in Oakland.

I needed leaf mulch for my gardens last year and called L E's Mattapan location to find some. They…read moredidn't answer and their voice mailbox was full-- not encouraging. So I went in person. The place was disorganized and the staff was unprofessional. I waited for quite a while as various people had loud discussions about whose fault a missed delivery had been. I finally left, having gotten an idea of what my experience would be. this year, I found that L E had an outlet in Woburn. The website was not active, so I called and left a message for their mulch department. Nobody called me back, so the next day I took a chance and drove up to Woburn to inquire in person. They did have leaf mulch and I ordered my load and paid for delivery, which was to be out of the Mattapan site. I was given May 17 between 7 and 8 a.m. as the delivery time. On the 17th we waited for the delivery. And waited. finally, at around 1:45 I called Woburn again to see what was up. "Truck trouble," I was told after the Woburn office called the Mattapan office. I was promised the mulch by 3:30. You can probably guess that it wasn't delivered. I stayed home all day waiting, changing my other plans as the hours passed. This morning (May 18th), I called Woburn again to tell them that I hadn't received the mulch. Paul from the Woburn office called the Mattapan number again to inquire. When he came back on the line, he told me he'd ensured that the delivery would be today, even if he had to have it driven down to Dorchester from Woburn. Now I'm sitting on my hands again, waiting for mulch and hoping it gets here before I have to work this afternoon. SiteOne, the corporation that holds Landscape Express needs to TRAIN its staff in professional and responsive customer service. There's no magic to being polite and even a simple checklist of follow-up actions can help ensure that jobs don't fall through the cracks. I appreciate Paul's efforts on my behalf, but they shouldn't have been necessary. Not Rocket Science. Get it together Mattapan!

As instructed on the drop off page of their website I called them to tell them of my drop off. First, I called in the morning to establish my understanding. The woman who answered confirmed my information and I was told to call when I was close, which I did. In my second call, ten minutes away, I was given directions and to go to door #7 not clearly marked). I was also informed, for the first time, that they did not take credit cards for drop offs. This meant I had to go get cash. As I arrived, one of their trucks was pulling in. He wanted to get into the bay of the garage. I asked him about drop off and he said he would call. This guy was very helpful and friendly, he entered the building, which clearly had credit card indicators on the door. If not for drop offs, for whom, as pickups would not see the door? Once I emptied my documents into the barrel, the truck driver emptied the barrel into the truck shredder. I don't think they have an on-site shredder, maybe just truck based. He took mt money, but then had to go looking for change. I only had twenties, as I was not expecting a cash exchange. So, good price, nice guy, got my shredding done, but it seemed a bit haphazard. Could work on processes.
