We have had animals for over 40 years, and this was the worst vet office we have ever been to!…read more The vet techs are terrible and incredibly condescending. The male vet tech grabbed our puppy by the collar and attempted to drag him onto the scale. When I attempted to intervene, I said "I can just lift him and set him on the scale, we are really trying to keep his early vet visits positive," he replied, "how are we suppose to examine him, if we can't even touch him?" I have had animals my whole life and have worked with them for several years and this was beyond shocking to hear. He never even said hi to our puppy, he just grabbed at his collar and tried to manhandle him (I am sure our puppy was terrified at this point). The two female vet techs were equally bad (very unfriendly). Not one staff member even said hello to our puppy or attempted to establish rapport. It was a very cold, controlling and man handling type environment, which had to be very scary for a puppy's first vet visit (outside of vaccinations). We were present and they were terrible....I can only imagine how they are, without pet parents present. We will absolutely NOT be going back, and recommend you find another vet office, where they care about creating a safe and welcoming environment for animals! Run!

They managed to squeeze my dog In for a same day appointment at a very reasonable price. I will be bringing my pets here for all future appointments, highly recommend !

We've been going to MAH for 8.5 years, for our Olde English Bulldogge, Petunia. We transferred…read morethere as "Tuni's" Dr. left & went to MAH. Since then her doctor retired, & she's been seeing the Veterinarians still there. I've read other reviews & noted they dated from 10 years ago. This is not true of the current doctors, Veterinarian Assistants (yes, they go to school too) back office & front office staff are wonderful, personable, compassionate people. Our Tuni has had some significant health challenges thus last 14 months. I recently called due to a reoccurring issue and though they were extremely busy (three Doctors & lots of techs & staffing for various positions), I Was counseled by a tech how to keep calling early to get an appointment as I'd have to wait several weeks to see the Veterinarian. Tuni was in a reoccurring problem, that needed an antibiotic soon. They got me in the next morning & Dr. Burns saw her, got on the floor to be acquainted again, listened to all I'd had to say intently, asked diagnostic questions & whisked her away for an examination. She complimented me in my thoroughness os CALMLY explaining what was happening to her, had tead the very complete information I'd related to the Vet Tech of my calls & why Tuni needed to be seen. She had also read Tuni's record to familiarize herself with her long term reoccurring infection & cleaned her bottom with a cooling medication & didnt charge me for it, along with treating her vulva for a rash, again no charge. Tuni has a folliw-up appointment inn2 weeks to check on her progress. These professionals are DOCTORS, & deserve to be paid what they charge that i believe is no more than 60% of what Veterinarian offices charge here & elsewhere. No sstaff has ever been rude, condescending, flippant & other things they've been accused of. Even if they get an angry & screaming oatient, what we now call Karens, the situation is handled properly. The office is always spotless as are the exam rooms, when one calls, their new phone system announces your position in line, when they say they'll call you back they doo & today the Tech called & said my local pharmacy couldn't get the med T needed. It was very expensive i thought but i looked online for its price and they were charging less than half of what each pill cost elsewhere, including a very popular online pet supply company. So, don't listen to the naysayers. It is iwned btly the three women vets who have a lot if experience, have an office manager who knows how to hire & keep a great team. I worked in two different medical offices for humans. I wished the staff where I worked had nice, friendly, supportive & trained employees, not the women i had to work with. Go to this Veterinarian hospital. The Ukiah office is closed on weekends, as they go to Willits to help out at animal shelters there. Also, ive never waited for any length of time. Even if im early, i check in & today, tho i was 15 minutes early, Dr. Burns Vet. Tech called me in just under 5 minutes, & Dr. Burns was in the exam room shortly thereafter, with Tuni & me early. Cheers, & try them for your fur-baby, scale, feathered or spikey baby. Your mind will be at ease & your baby will be on their way to treatment & hopefully a healthy future.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with front office policies and interactions has led me to transfer my pets to another veterinary hospital in Willits. While many of the reception staff are friendly and helpful, I encountered communication that felt inflexible and lacking in empathy, particularly regarding appointment policies. I understand that clinics need policies in place, but long-term clients also value being treated with a degree of understanding and respect. It's disappointing to leave after so many years, especially because the veterinarians provide such good care. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the quality of veterinary care deserves to be matched by the overall client experience.

She said no it wasn't it was at 10 and you are late. Sit down and wait. My husband wasn't happy and he said you don't get to call me a liar. I have my confirmation text that says 10:30. This office called yesterday saying it was 10:30. I have it on my calendar for two months that it was 10:30. Even when shown the text from them. I found a great vet that actually fits our dog in for emergencies. Yokayo could fit us in for our dogs last moments. We now use willits for our animals.

This place is a joke! I called 2 months ago to make an appointment for two cat spays. At the time…read morethey were about 2.5 months old. I was wanting to stay on top of it to prevent an accidental litter. I called the week before my original appointment to confirm the time, lo and behold they "can't find it". I was annoyed, but understood that maybe it was an honest mistake, being that I was speaking to the person I had originally booked with and it was obvious he knew that something didn't go as planned. Understood! Cats are still young, I'll just reschedule. Shocked, however, that the next available spot was not going to be for another month. Ok.... Reschedule. Day of second appointment comes, I get a voice message stating that the doc is sick (understandable) and we need to reschedule to two days from now. Ok, seems reasonable enough, I was going to leave work early for this appointment, so getting that message, clearly I didn't have to and with being busy, didn't immediately call them back. I do however, call back first thing in the morning, and was told the next available appointment wouldn't be until another 40 days with a snarky " we called yesterday and you didn't call us back". Deposit has been paid. Yet, because I didn't call You back immediately then that gives you the excuse to push us that far back? For the second time? Needless to say, I'll take the girls some place else. After being recommended this place by a friend, I've given them more chances than they deserved. Absolute nightmare of a scheduling. Here we are, four months later, with a bigger problem on our hands. Two cats, now at bearing age, who haven't been spayed, not due to owner proactiveness but to the absolute nightmare of scheduling at Yokayo.
