The doctor and staff here took really great care of my boys. They had not been to the dentist in quite some time. The first dental assistant was a little impatient with my oldest son, and I wasn't able to help much since they had me in a separate area with my youngest son. After I explained to her that he is autistic and informed her that I mentioned it when I made the appointment AND listed it clearly on all paperwork, her attitude changed, and she was more understanding. I told her if she allowed me to be with him, I could assist and maybe she would then be able to get the x-rays she needed. She declined, noting she didn't want to put him through another attempt.
After my youngest completed his x-rays, they were able to be together for the cleaning/exam. Everyone else was extremely nice. The doctor was amazing. The dental assistant working with my autistic son for the cleaning was a joy! She explained everything to him and made him very comfortable, even allowing him to assist by holding some of the tools. I love that she talked to him the entire time.
The receptionist was very pleasant as well. She helped with the insurance paperwork and made the entire process seamless. The kids did not want to leave! read more
