The website says they close at 10 pm. We walked in at 830 and it was super dark, we thought it was closed. When we walked in the music was blasting loud. No one was in site. About 5 minutes later a girl walked in from the back and said I'm about to mop so you need to wait until the floor is dry. We said ok can we order first since you haven't started mopping and she said but I'm about to mop and also we are out of everything, all I can make is boba or strawberry banana. We decided to not even give this place our business. They clearly do not have anyone properly managing this place and I hope the owners pay attention to these reviews because the kids they have working there are losing business for them. Decided to go into this establishment today at 2:20 p.m. to get a refreshing juice for a hot day. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Not only did the employee have a bad attitude and poor customer service. But there was only two customers ahead of us in which only one customer had received their smoothie after about 25 minutes of us waiting. So we decided to leave disappointed at 2:45 p.m. Not only a waste of time but a bad experience seeing that we didn't even get to enjoy anything. Worst Jamba I've been to. If it were only for a smoothie that was off on one day, I wouldn't give a one star. The smoothie is mediocre. The staff is NOT friendly. Multiple times the staff spoke in a low voice that they probably don't expect others to hear and showed disappointment when I didn't hear them. I've gone twice now and both times they have been out of stuff. Employee told me that they can't make me a bowl because the fruit isn't prepped. Don't they prep when a customer puts in an order. Ordered smoothies twice , both times I asked to make them thick and they came out like watered down juice , employee said it was due to problems with the refrigerator not freezing the sherbet or ice . I usually come in here right before work to get something fresh and healthy to start my day. I like the variety of juices and smoothies that they offer. Although a lot of the items on their menu have too much sugar I think there's a lot of good choices too. Their freshly squeezed juices are great my favourite is the orange kale power which is just kale and orange juice. If I feel like having more of a smoothie I'll go with the berry upbeat. A manager called today to apologize and offer to remake the açaí bowl. I told her how much I appreciated that she took the time to show customer service and that it was all I wanted. I told her I didn't even need a credit or refund. I needed for management to know what happened so they could rectify it. Although I'm not comfortable returning to this particular Lugonia location I will continue to visit other Jamba Juice stores therefore I will change the 1 star to 3 stars. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Rotten açaí fruit was served in the açaí primo bowl ($8.99). My daughter used a gift card to buy this and brought it home. She asked me if the color looked off and I smelled and tasted it. It was definitely spoiled fruit. I called to let the store know at 9:35 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021 and the girl who answered told me I would have to bring the bowl back for a refund. I live 15 minutes away. I told her I had a receipt at which point she hung up on me. I called back and let it ring and after many rings, she picked up and hung it up again. I truly hope this young lady is terminated. I own a business and I can't say I've ever been so blatantly disrespected. Pretty shocked at how poor this experience was. I really just need the store owner to know that spoiled product was served and NO attempt to make it right was made. Absolutely horrible place: -I saw multiple cockroaches in the store crawling on the floor near the frozen foods -there were always tons of gnats flying in the wheatgrass -No one washes the blenders, the manager told me they just dunk them and move on because washing is too slow, and that is very unsanitary, especially if there is peanut butter on the blender because many people have peanut allergies. Manager said it was "wasting time by washing them all the way" -They always use moldy fruits so they wouldn't be wasted (moldy strawberries & blueberries for the bowls, moldy oranges for the orange juice, and blackened bananas for the bowls) -The bathroom is never in service because no one cared to clean up the blood and feces stains all over the toilet, so there is no where to go when you need to relieve yourself -There is always so much crud everywhere, it is so gross and no one ever wants to clean it, it is very unsanitary and I'm surprised more people don't get sick (I would get sick multiple times when having smoothies here, probably because they never wash the blenders, but it could also be the bad ingredients or work environment) (You're probably wondering why I kept having smoothies here, but I didn't realize this was the cause of my sicknesses until later realizing and investigating.) -I brought up all of these issues, and not a single one was addressed -I showed the Manager Mayra this entire list of unsanitary and unfair work environments, and asked her to sign it to show that she had read it and would make progress to resolve these issues, however she refused to sign the paper because she didn't want to be held responsible for any of it Overall, this Jamba Juice is a horrendous place, and a very unsanitary restaurant to get anything from. Taking advantage of the 50% off all energy bowls deal. :-) Came here yesterday and got the Chunky Strawberry Bowl. I was disappointed because they told me it cost extra to add honey... Also, the peanut butter was just too strong. I love peanut butter but this was overwhelming. I will never get this bowl again. Today, I came and got the Açai Primo Bowl. Loved it! It's the same as the regular Açai Berry Bowl but it comes with granola and coconut. I don't understand who wouldn't get this bowl especially when it's the same price for all the bowls! Great products. Great staff. Not so great ownership/management. Last 4 times that I went here, only 1 person working. He/she somehow managed 10 people in line and making all the smoothies and juices by themselves. Today was no different. This location was such a disappointment. I've been a fan of jamba for years. But today was a different story. The girls were struggling to manage the 2 customers ahead of me. Picked up receipts off the floor and then grabbed the blenders. The classic pumpkin smash tasted like purée and ice. The recipe doesn't seem to taste like other locations at all. The refrigerator up front wasn't even closed during the whole during I was there. The fresh fruit for juices weren't up, wheatgrass was empty, cold case up front was closed. The fire alarm even went off during the duration of my over extended waiting time. I asked for a different smoothie which was upsized, but I waited in line longer just so they could catch up. They don't know anything about the rewards program or the app. Every time I come here I see several customers give up and leave after they see the line and lack of employees.
