However, Jamba Juice ran out of the creamy coconut whip, which completely altered the taste. It tasted like drinking a watered-down beverage (after the ice has melted), with little flavor. My son got his braces put on his teeth today and was in such pain that he couldn't eat his dinner. So, my wife decided to take him to Jamba for a special drink. He was so excited and was able to get a large drink; which he normally is not allowed. When they got home, he had only drunk a little and had set it on the kitchen table when along came his toddler sister. We don't know if she was trying to take a sip, or trying to bring it to him, but the next thing we saw was her dropping it and it spilling all over the ground. Now, why do I tell this story for a review? Because of what happened next. My son was of course devastated and tried to not tear up, but you could tell they were coming. Normally we might try to make this a learning lesson in how bad things can happen to us even if not by our actions, or we'd find something else for him to have; but, this time I got my keys and told him we'd go back to Jamba to get another drink. (I was not looking forward to paying for another large drink. My only gripe with the chain is their costs for such delicious drinks.) When we returned to the store, the shift manager remembered him and was sad to hear of what happened and promised to help out. The staff were very courteous and apologetic for the long wait and definitely put a smile back on his face, braces and all. There were two workers and nobody else was inside when I was inside ordering. Nobody bothered to clean up the spill but instead just had a sign of caution. This has got to be the worst location in the franchise! I used to enjoy coming here but the service continues to go down hill. 1. Customer service sucks. No greeting when you enter. The cashier was so busy minding everyone else's business I had to repeat my order and name three times for her to say sorry, I keep getting distracted. 2. There is no reason I should be waiting 20+ minutes for a smoothie when there are more than 5 employees behind the counter. On top of that, my smoothie should not be watery and have big chunks of ice in it. 3. This location is not good. In particular one employee has made bad drinks on two different occasions but tonight (the third time same person) was extra terrible and I won't be going back to this location. Started by coming in an hour before closing. When I walked in Zarayah (the employee) was cleaning tables with a rag and picked something off the floor. After they sauntered to the cash register and rang up my order, take my cash and making change, they continued cleaning with the rag. It seemed that then they realized no one else was going to make my order. They started making my drink and acai bowl. I had to stop them because THEY HADNT EVEN WASHED THEIR HANDS. They rolled their eyes and went back to wash them for about 10 seconds. Great. Gross. Went back to my order. The drink didn't taste right, but the most ridiculous was then they handed me a half full açaí bowl. I complained that it wasn't correct and half empty... they gave me attitude and said "what do you want me to do about it? That's all we have" I told them they should have told me that or given me the option to not get it if they didn't have all the ingredients!! More attitude and they told me to throw it out and finally gave me money back. Over all they couldn't have crates less about doing their job safely, correctly, or with any amount of pleasantness. Juicer being down frequently, I normally get a carrot drink and it's frustrating when the Jamba Juice closest to my house isn't operating properly 3.
