I stopped by this Jamba Juice today to get a strawberry surf rider smoothie since I was next door picking up food for my wife. It been a while since I visited this Jamba store since I usually don't go in the plaza this store is in. But I found parking easily today since I came in the early morning. I was going to place my order through their mobile app but they charge a service fee so I just did it in person. When I walked inside the place, a lady greeted me and came to take my order. It doesn't seem like they want people to sit and relax in here because there not a lot of seating. The lady made my strawberry surf rider drink quick and it is was good. It is pricey like buying a fast food meal menu but it is what it is. I'm still surprise that they charge a fee if you order through their mobile app. read more

Once you walk in, you not only smell fresh fruits, but you also see a nicely decorated storefront!! They had Valentine's decor for the upcoming holiday. I was debating on what to pick at first, but since it's been so long since I've been here, I knew I had to order my go-to drink: the Mango-A-Go-Go!!! I thought of this smoothie as a dessert and treat for me!! It was smoothly blended and tasted very fresh. I loved the taste of the mango bits in my drink. This is the home of the tastiest smoothies on this side of the Rockies! I love Jamba and have been going here for years. So why the 4 instead of 5 stars? I am not extremely disappointed that the Impossible breakfast sandwich was removed from the menu--and here in CA, no less! Why?! Unfortunately, this means there aren't any edible "Bites" for many of us. Today, I simply opted to go elsewhere instead of Jamba bc I really needed some solid food, which I would have ordered with a smoothie, if I could have. I just ordered an açaí bowl 30 minutes before close and got something I totally did not pay for I asked for the dragon twist. And saw her hand it to someone else. She handed me a regular açaí bowl after I paid for added peanut butter and dragon fruit didn't get either I even noticed no peanut butter and she proceed to squirt the remainder of the bottle over it and when I got home noticed there was no dragon fruit. I tried calling but of course no one answers the phone 5 minutes before they close because they are lazy tired and want to go home. Tomorrow I'm coming for my bowl that I paid for everything is too expensive nowadays to not get what you paid for. Threw the bowl out really I should throw it at the window so they can clean it off in the morning but I'm just going to arrive tomorrow and simply tell them they made a mistake. I don't know why this store in Balboa has 4 stars because these new people working there need to be retrained if they were trained at all. For starters the girl at the registered didn't ask me for my phone number to check if I had points like she did the white women who ordered before me. The açaí bowl was skimpy with barely any fruit in it and she had the nerve to tell me you can't have coconut and granola which is a bunch of crap. Last time I ordered at this store a few months ago the staff they had was amazing. The guy making the bowls and smoothies gives you as little as possible and bad enough they made the bowls smaller to give you less for the same price. Well it's like a 100 degree day and a super cold smoothie sounds perfect. Surprise to me though that when I walk in today it is HOT inside. Immediately I'm super uncomfortable but I still decide to order. As I'm ordering I see all the staff sweating and clearly hot, trying to cool down with damp towels on their necks and foreheads. I tell them that I feel sorry for them to have to work in this conditions as it's clear the air conditioner is not working. They all smile and say it's definitely rough; they then go on to tell me it's been broken since Monday....today is FRIDAY. I cannot believe anyone would allow their staff to have to work under such conditions for that many days, especially in the summer when we know most days are over 90 in the SF valley. It's truly disappointing that clearly no rush has been made to get the unit fixed. I find it really unacceptable. Despite this the entire staff was still friendly and smiling; I know I wouldn't have been. They made my drink quickly and it was perfection. Thank you to everyone there sweating it out in your shift. I hope the management gets it together and fixes this issue soon or at least sends everyone home with pay until the working conditions are more humane. read more

I walked in a few days ago and ordered my usual drink with a lady, Sarah. I asked for a substitution in my order, but instead got charged $6 for it. I asked why I was being charged this outrageous amount for a substitution, in which she replied with a rude, snarky response. Being a loyal customer to Jamba Juice for over a year, I did not expect them to pick and choose when to charge for substitutions. Staff was super helpful in helping me choose a "green" drink. Also taking the time to explain what a ginger shot has and the benefits of it. The ginger shot was good in a burn your throat type of way haha. I got the greens and ginger juice blend and it's pretty tasty. I'll order it again in the future. By far the worst service I have ever experienced in Jamba Juice. The sign on door stated 5 people at a time and the overzealous employees snapped at me for being the 5th person to walk in and did not greet me or ask nicely, they just said "you have to wait outside." I immediately told them the sign is clear, "5 at a time." They repeated themselves,"you have to wait outside." Once i got to the register, again, the same girl who rudely told me to go outside, Giselle, didn't greet me and was being very short and passive aggressive, taking the matter personally and letting it affect her professionalism. Before I could finish deciding my order she would repeatedly in the interject,"is that it?" Cutting me off twice while i was speaking. The poor attitude extended to the drink prep when she left register to make drinks, which happened to be mine. She was speaking softly to Darrian and whatever was said affected Darrians service towards me. When he brought the drink over he left a significant amount in the blender and didn't fill my cup. He also had a passive aggressive attitude and became cold and short after the discussion he had with Giselle. I hope the owner of this location reads this and understands that employees shouldn't be "paying people back" with rudeness and terrible service for being corrected by a customer. If they can't count how many people are in the lobby area and then get upset when you inform them you are complying with the posted policy, then they shouldn't be working here. And all this during a quarantine where the lobby was less crowded than prior to the shutdown, and they still have bad attitudes. My favorite Jamba juice location! I've come here several of times and never had any problems with my order. The workers are friendly and helpful if you have any questions and need any recommendations. Even if there are alot of people they are good about getting orders out as fast as possible. My favorite smoothies are the seasonal flavors. During the summer they had two amazing watermelon smoothies: 1) Watermelon breeze - watermelon juice blend, strawberry, raspberry and pineapple, and raspberry sherbet. 2) Poolside Fit - watermelon juice, strawberry, cucumber, peach, fresh lemon juice. Also included a collagen boost. Watermelon breeze was more sweet due to the sherbert and poolside fit tasted more natural due to the cucumber.
