The attention to detail at Prima is authentic as I recall from time spent in Italy; more authentic than Olive Garden. The staff is always checking to see if anything is needed and are very attentive to our needs but they do recognize like that of Italian culture, time spent at a meal with loved ones is valuable and is not just the typical stop, drop, and roll style that American's are used to. We shared a salad, we shared the meatballs, and we shared the carbonara and still took home a to-go bag. Prices are fair. Food is amazing. Staff is great. I highly recommend this place!

We've been going to this establishment for years, loved the food when it was Shrimp Boat, but lots…read morehas changed since going Italian. It's not really Italian, could offer more dishes that is considered Mediterranean, pasta specials of the day could be a consideration, something different that other local Italian restaurants don't offer, otherwise, they are just like the others. We had the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, terrible. It's a large piece of chicken, should have been pounded thinner, too thick, loaded with too much sauce on breaded chicken, which makes it soft because of too much sauce, then loaded with cheese that wasn't put under the broiler, just soft and mushy. Side spaghetti was over cooked and loaded again with too much sauce, the entire dish was drowning in sauce which is just okay. Our friends ordered spaghetti & meatballs, the meatballs was garlicky and the dish loaded with too much sauce on overcooked spaghetti. Several of their dishes are made with same stuffing from stuffed mushrooms, stuffed flounder, stuffed shrimp making it easy for the kitchen but a boring menu being the food all tasting the same. Service is great and attentive even with change of staff since the restaurant changed. My suggestion is, please stop overloading sauce, don't drown the spaghetti and cut back on garlic in meatballs, don't overcook the pasta, and offer a pasta of the week, supposably they make their own, let's see something that can't be bought from a store. The owner needs to pay attention to their change of business, if you are presenting it to be Italian, then offer dishes that can be found as other restaurants, you've just become a cliche, why bother! We wish only the best for this establishment, being family owned, you've worked hard to still be around after so many years, don't let us down now.

Back in the day you'd get an all you can drink wristband for $20 and they had an amazing little hidden nightclub upstairs. It was always a great time. The good ole days can't last forever. Went with a small group on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday. $20 cover for men, $10 cover for women (cash only). Security folks were real cool and we were inside after a short wait in line (maybe 2-3 minutes). Once inside the vibes were chill, the music seems catered to an older 40s+ crowd, but I'm knocking on the door of 40 so that was fine for me. What wasn't fine though is how bad the service is, one of the bartenders must have been on pills or something because she was the slowest I've ever dealt with, I'm talking 5 minutes for her to make 2 simple drinks. She also skipped over my group to help someone who walked up that was her friend. We got our drinks and found a table outside. Spent probably an hour here, the vibes outside were what you expect from most bars like this in Tampa. Very few people dancing or having a good time, most are standing on the wall trying to look cool or scrolling their phones. The DJ wasn't the problem, the crowd was. Food was pretty bad as well. They should just hire some food trucks, the wings were disrespectfully bad.

Always a great spot for a drink, wings or to catch a game. They have a DJ a couple nights a weeks…read moreand the vibe is super chill. They have hookah but for any service it's best to go inside to get anything you need.
