Sure, it is dark and musky in here. But it is also the longest running rehearsal space for working musicians needing a place to jam in the Tampa Bay area. Convenient to both Tampa and St. Pete, I have been practicing here for years...make that decades. Joe is a solid dude and deserves an award for staying open, even in the darkest days of the economy. I usually bring my own guitar head and use the speaker cabinets onsite, but each room is fully equipped to just come in, plug in and play. The rooms are private and full PA is provided. The bathroom is clean and parking is abundant. The going rate is $15 an hour, which is perfect for working out a new song, or for trying out that new bass player. This place is a solid 4 stars, and if you've ever been here you know why you can't give it 5.:-) Anyway, I have been practicing with one band after another at this place for at least 25 years, even before it was at this location. It has been owned and run by the same guy (Joe) the entire time. Say you practice at "circle" anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area and any musician will know what you are talking about. This place has outlasted everyone and everything, and has earned its place in our scene. So many people have tried to do it better (from the looks of the place you might think it would be easy to do) but all of them have come and gone. I'd give this a 0 if I could. Where do I begin? I'm a bassist in a few bands and I've played here a few times. I've always hated it. It's in an old warehouse, and the building smells like mold and stale cigarette smoke. I always feel like throwing up. The service is terrible. read more

I've been here several times. A good place for rehearsals, band member auditions etc... Very reasonable rates and the rooms are all good sized. They provide back line equipment like basic PA, guitar and bass cabs and amps, basic drum kits (minus cymbals/hi hat/snare... drummers always like to bring their own anyway). I'm a guitarist and prefer to bring my own amps even though they have them. There'a a PA in every room but, always best to ask what equipment is i provided in the room you book.
