This is a great day spa in North Denver. I have come here for almost two years. I get regular facials with Carli Fluegge-an amazing, caring knowledgeable esthetician. I've had one massage there, but many, many facials. Overall the spa is lovely, great product lines and courteous service. I have enjoyed the relaxation room and complementary warm neck wraps, hot tea and water. I have never felt rushed- even after my service is finished. To date, I have had 4 facials with Bobbi and am singing her praises! I did have her suggest the best services for my face as she is the one analyzing it. It has been a very positive experience. My face appreciates additional moisture and we attend to that. I am 69 so any procedure that helps with building collagen, skin elasticity and toning is welcomed....and, of course, smoothing out the wrinkles and fine lines. Bobbi attends to it all professionally and with her special touch. My favorite experience is having her hands on my face preforming qua sha massage techniques. My face feels like it is getting a good workout while boosting the circulation and relieving tension. Adding the aromatherapy at start and finish of our visit is a thoughtful touch and adds to the whole experience. I definitely feel I have been treated! I would recommend trying Bobbi's services! My massage at Jalan was the best massage of my life. The ambiance was perfect with nature and Asian influences in everything from the decor to the sounds. Even the restroom was lovely! They have heated toilet seats. We began with a relaxing foot bath with salts and tea- I cannot recommend the Lemongrass Tea enough. Both my husband and I thought it was delicious and he is not a tea person. Andrea was my masseuse and her technique was perfect- great communication skills with finding the right amount of pressure. I had the signature massage and it went above and beyond my expectations- I truly felt relaxed and loved every element from the aromatherapy to the warm towels. Afterwards we were given warm neck pillows and a few spots to lounge to continue our relaxation. We had water and another cup of that delicious Lemongrass tea in the zen garden room but also appreciated the kokedamas in the ambiance room. We will absolutely be back and I hope to try out the facials! Really a wonderful and relaxing spot for a massage. I booked an appointment for a package of a body massage and facial. They make you fill an intake form to get a good idea on your body and issues. The rooms are relaxing and lights are kept dim throughout the area. You get time to soak your feet. Enjoy time before and after in their cozy rooms. As far as I know, you can relax for as long as you want after your massages/facials. They have a getting ready are which was super cute, they provide hair tools (irons, hair ties, etc) for incase you need to get ready afterwards. Maybe bring your own hair protector and iron if you're interested. The staff is super friendly and takes great care of their clients. Yarely is truly the most incredible esthetician! I have been working with her for facials for over a year and she has helped my skin tremendously. I have always battled redness and dryness and Yarley tailors each facial to help address these concerns as well as some hormonal acne I have been experiencing recently. She listens to all of my concerns and changes in my routine and makes amazing recommendations for things I can do at home to extend my results out of the spa. She is gentle with extractions and I always leave the spa feeling so relaxed and refreshed. I love the decor and the little touches (tea and water offering with a salt soak for your feet if you get there early enough before your service). My esthetician was super nice! I opted for the $170ish oxygen facial. My face feels pretty good a week later, which was my goal, as I have very dry skin. Might be worth a trip for you. read more

I have been coming to this place for years, pre-pandemic for facials. It is a very serene and tranquil location, perfect for a cold Denver day. The facials are generally top notch although I have had a few less than stellar estheticians. They explain everything they are going to do after listening to your concerns about your skin. I always leave feeling hydrated and polished as well as super relaxed. The one downside I have experienced is that if you go at a busier time, the noise /chatter from the estheticians when gathering items can be a bit loud and take you out of the zen zone. Also, do go early as they have a great foot scrub. read more

Super mixed feelings about this place. The atmosphere/environment is lovely and tranquil. Appreciated the waiting area and the complimentary foot soak. Yesterday I received a facial and a lash lift/tint. The facial was amazing. The products felt great and my skin still looks and feels good 24 hours later. The lash lift/tint was super disappointing. She didn't show it to me before I left which I found unusual but whatever. But there's quite literally no lift. The tint is good, not great, but the lift is nonexistent. I'm attaching pictures to show how flat my lashes are. I get a lift and tint every few months and have never had poor results like this (I usually go elsewhere but wanted to try Jalan out). It's super disappointing because it wasn't cheap but also because I got it done for family photos this week and now I can't get a true lift before then. I think maybe this place just wasn't the place to go for lashes but I'm pretty bummed I wasted my money and that my lashes won't be lifted for my pictures. I might recommend this place for a facial as that part was lovely. No pressure to buy the products they used/recommended which I appreciate. Of note, I initially booked online for both services. I noticed a couple of days before my appointment they had my lashes scheduled before my facial, done by two separate people so scheduling order would've been an issue. Had I not noticed or known the facial should be first, this could've been problematic. A nice place and facial but I'm just not sure I'll return. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed a Vital Oxygen Facial with a decollage add on. Individual skin analysis was done so treatment is tailored to skin type and not a run of the mill treatment. Selena was very professional and did a superior job. Parking in this neighborhood is a cluster. I appreciated the fact that it had a small parking area in the rear of the building where I could safely park my car. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I scheduled massage/facial and bought 2 packages w/SPECIFIC request for female masseuse for my daughter and I for her birthday. I was told we would need to be scheduled later in day to accommodate request for each of us having female masseuse. When we arrived only one male one female available. I explained I had specifically booked female masseuse. The only resolution provided was to wait an hr and pay more for facials for each. My experience here was just okay. I particularly enjoyed the foot bath and was reassured they use the utmost care in ensuring the basins are sanitized between each use and I also saw them clean it too. They double cleanse it with an antibacterial/viral spray. The ladies at the front were extremely welcoming and provided great customer service. Their lounge areas are relaxing and there are interesting books to read. They offer lockers to secure your personal belongings as well as hair ties and q tips for comfort. The bathroom has a bidet in case you need to feel clean. My facial in particular was not impressive. She didn't explain the products much. She pretty much just said "This is what we are going to do x, y, z, do you have any questions?" and never talked about it more unless I asked but the answers were short. After my session, she showed me a a pamphlet saying she highlighted all the products used and I can purchase them today and walked me to a room where they sell the products. She was quick to say "let me know if you have questions" and walked away without showing me where to find any of these products. I was walking around looking for each one and was so lost. After the fact, my friend told me that they have a section with your name written and all the products used/recommended laid out for you. I expected better service and experience from such a reputable business. I am reluctant to return. However, I will say my 3 other friends had an amazing experience. You get tea and cookies on arrival and can get a complimentary salt foot bath while you wait for your service. Before and after your service you can relax in any of the three relaxation areas. This was a looooong time coming! My mom got a couple gift certificates for Jalan the Christmas before covid hit ... she finally made an appointment and asked me to go with her. We followed recommendations and went early to take advantage of the foot soak. The foot baths slllloooooowly lost water as we sat there, but it was still nice to soak our feet. Ximena was lovely, talking through the process and telling me each step (except the last few) of my anti-aging facial. She asked early on how the steam was and adjusted the steamer when I indicated only one side of my face was benefiting. (I learned later on that my mom's aesthetician didn't ask and she felt only half her face got adequate steam) At the end, Ximena offered me a warm neck wrap, which was a nice touch walking out to the front desk. My partner and I got facials from Jalan as a decadent gift for my partner's birthday, and while the services offered here aren't cheap, we had a great experience. There are nice, thoughtful touches like a complimentary foot soak with salt if you arrive 15-20 min before your appointment. We were offered water and a selection of tea, and they gave us cookies and a small sample of their aromatherapy at the end of our sessions along with a detailed list of all the products that were used. The vibe is relaxing, and all the staff were friendly. Mason was my aesthetician, and he was amazing! I appreciated his insight and recommendations for my particular skincare needs. I had the blackberry frost facial which left my skin so soft, hydrated, with noticeably smaller pores, and very little irritation (normally my skin is sensitive and easily gets red and irritated.) And Mason was warm, friendly, and it was clear he was passionate and knowledgeable about skincare. Parking-wise, there's a small parking lot at the back of their building and plenty of street parking if the spaces are filled. All in all, getting a facial here felt like a splurge, but one that felt worth every penny. read more

Wow! My best friend and I booked facials and it was such an awesome experience. When you get in they have you remove your shoes for flip flops they provide. They have tea available and water. You wear your own clothing so no need to change until your treatment. It was very comfortable. The ladies we both worked with her kind and we both agreed we would go back. They were gentle with my best friend as she was getting married a few days later. My only note would be for the optional foot baths at the bottom of the spa. The little seats were not comfortable.
