One of the worst and most stressful experiences I've ever had with a dealership. Please be careful and seriously consider getting an independent inspection before buying from here. I purchased a 2011 Buick Regal from them and almost immediately the vehicle started having major mechanical problems. The car jerked violently at stop lights, stalled while driving, shook aggressively at idle, hesitated badly while accelerating, lost engine power, and developed loud rattling/ticking noises from the engine bay. At one point the dashboard displayed "Engine Power Reduced," and the car became so unreliable I was genuinely afraid of getting stranded. I tried to work with the dealership professionally and gave them multiple chances to make things right. They admitted there were timing-related engine issues and performed repairs, yet the same symptoms returned almost immediately after getting the vehicle back. The car continued shutting off, jerking hard enough to shake the entire vehicle, and driving unpredictably. What made the situation worse was the attitude and communication throughout the process. Instead of showing concern after selling a vehicle with serious issues, the responses became cold, dismissive, and argumentative. There was never a real apology for the stress, wasted time, and inconvenience this caused. After all of this, they simply canceled the sale and left me without a vehicle. No replacement options, no help with transportation, and no willingness to stand behind the vehicle long-term despite the issues appearing almost immediately after purchase. I understand older used cars can have issues, but this was far beyond normal wear and tear. I want to start by acknowledging that many people who come to dealerships like this are doing so because of credit, income, or other circumstances that limit their options. I understand that reality. What I don't understand is predatory pricing and the complete lack of professionalism shown here. Paying $7k over market value is predatory, full stop. There is absolutely no room for negotiation with this business, and they make that clear from the start. That said, the mistreatment of customers is what really pushed this experience over the edge. The two women at the front desks are polite and professional, and I appreciate that. However, the so‑called manager who sits in the back is another story entirely. Her aggressive, rude, and hostile attitude came out immediately when I asked a simple, valid question about a discrepancy in the paperwork. It didn't end there. When the vehicle was brought back for a part replacement--a critical component that wasn't functioning at the time of sale--her communication continued to be condescending and unnecessarily cold. I understand they have other customers, but when you have eight hours to complete a thirty‑minute job and a customer politely asks for the car to be ready at a reasonable time, responding with attitude is unacceptable. DONT' DO IT......DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING A CAR FROM HERE!!! Stay far far away from this so called dealership. I bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty that was in for repairs in less than 30 days. Yes they said they were going to cover the repairs, but still when you buy a vehicle you do expect to drive it a bit longer that 2 1/2 weeks before something going wrong. It was at the shop for 2 1/2 weeks at Ham Lake Meineke, where Jakes told me to take it too. Because it would not continue to idle I had to have it TOWED too and they expected me to make a payment while I was unable to drive the vehicle I bought from them, not to mention to keep full coverage insurance on it. Let's see pay for the tow, insurance and a payment for a car that I could not drive. Then because I didnt make the payment I couldnt pick up the car from Meineke because Jakes' remotely shut it down. I called them about the one key they gave me, I would unlock the drivers door and the key would set the alarm off. I informed them of this, I was told that was the only key they had...so have why didnt they have it rekeyed. I didnt want to wake my neighbors up at 3am with my alarm. I believe the key I had was the valet key. So now I am wondering where they got this car from that the former owner didnt have a key that didnt set the car alarm off after unlocking the driver's door Then I lost my job, I kept in contact with them and let them know what the situation was. By their own admission I wasnt even 30 days (2 payments) behind. I suddenly get a letter in the mail 7 days after it was written (letter dated 11/7/2023 received 11/14/2023) stating that the vehicle has been repo'ed and I need $1000 by 11/21/2023 to get it back or they are going to auction it off. I offered to make double payments($350) to get caught up since I got another job, but I was behind on everything. No, they wouldnt work with me. Their text stated that it had something to do with the DMV charges but that is already figured in total purchase price. No one answered the phone when I call, only text and email. There was nothing in writing that they were repoeing the vehicle. Besides, they picked the vehicle up from Ham Meineke and have had it in their (Jake's Auto Mall) possession the entire time. So how could my account be unsecured, when Jake's had the financed vehicle? Buy a junker , because that's what you buy here and EXTRMEMLY overpriced, until you can to to a real car dealership. They treat you really great up until you sign then forget it. I cant believe this place has all of these 5 star reviews seems fishy to me due to how I was treated. You would think that they would be willing to work with a customer having difficulties rather than making the situation worse, but hey they dont. They would rather take the JUNK back and resell it to another unsuspecting, person. I am sure I am missing other things that went wrong, you'd think that they would be welcoming the chance to have me double the payments to get. I mean a fool in their hand is worth 2 possibles.
