Went there this morning with a friend. It was very hot inside. The place is clean atmosphere was nice, but just very hot inside. Most of the staff waitresses not so friendly rude. Did not listen or take the order correctly. Very rushing without giving time to even look at the menu. More than three different times had to ask specifically what I was requesting, which was very nonsense. My friend didn't even finish their plate. He said it tasted like it was just warmed up real quick potatoes were soggy, the bacon was burnt tasted bad and the over easy eggs were not over easy they were overcooked. And when we brought that up to them, they just smiled and said OK OK shook their head like they didn't care. $28 for a Ranchero plate a large Menudo that was not even filled up. It was halfway and one taco two coffees. Way overpriced for such poor service and food that was put no love no effort into it. Horrible place this is the third time that I've been there and each time has been such a disappointment so I don't recommend this place. Never going back. read more

I usually always come here for breakfast tacos! they are they best and very affordable! The only downside is sometimes it seems they have someone new at the register every time I go. Because of that, they seem to get my order wrong whenever that's the case. It isn't too big of a deal, but it is annoying waiting in a long line in the drive threw to get the wrong items. I put an order in at 1059 my order wasn't ready until 1135. It was just tacos. Lowest service ever. The order i received wasn't correct and completely sloppy. There was no point in me going back because it already took so long. This establishment has been going downhill since 2020. Avoid if possible. read more

they don't tell me you but the price on the menu is false. when you pay they charge an extra dollar to use a plate. So you have to pay for the plate your food comes on. Then they charge $4 for chips. They are ripping of every customer. We will never go back. read more

Visiting SA with my grandson and he needed a queso fix. Easy to find and good number of parking spots. Very cool decor with different scenes depicted on back of chairs. There was a bit of a communication gap where we ordered chicken Nuggets, fries and plain queso for the boy. OMG imagine his confusion when he was brought a pancake! We are still chuckling about it. The order was quickly corrected with apologies. No problem, things happen and that was a mighty fine looking pancake. Chips were hearty, salsa not too spicy and overall a good experience. The tacos here rock. They are fast at the drive thru. I came through this part of town looking for some good mexican food and they served it up. The bean and cheese tacos have alot of cheese and some homemade tortillas. Just thinking of them makes me want to go get some! My party got their food ten minutes before I did and normally I would not mind, but my food was only brought out after I asked about it. Their breakfast tacos do look nice and fat and the homemade tortillas look good, but overall I was not impressed. I will stick to Pete's or Oscar's for my Puffy Taco fix. read more

I use to love this place but recently the quality of the food had gone downhill. Please inspect your food before you consume it. I ordered the barbacoa plate and there was a huge piece of industrial tape or hard plastic. Whatever it was it looked toxic and could have choked a child. Our go to neighborhood Tex-mex restaurant. My son won't eat a bean and cheese taco from any other place. The best carne guisada tacos in San Antonio. Other delicious items I have tried personally: green chicken enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, street taco plate, carne asada tacos, potato/egg/bacon/cheese taco, ham/egg taco, basic crispy tacos, caldos, nachos, and the list goes on. A good friend and fellow taco lovers turning me on to Jaime's some time ago and we've become regulars. I literally drive across town at least once a weekend for breakfast or lunch. The place is usually pretty busy, but you can usually snag a table after just a short wait. The wait staff is warm, friendly and efficient. They are really accommodating of special orders with no problems. The tortillas and the flavorful fillings are what really get me. The tortillas, both corn and flour are all scratch made. The taco fillings from the basics to lengua and tripas are all well seasoned and well prepared. The dining room is festively decorated and clean. Even the bathrooms are not only nice, but clean. (Although, this was a problem for us once we started to need a sling or high chair, because there's nowhere to put it and I don't like servers getting too close to my baby's head with those hot trays!)
