It was our pleasure to meet so many amazing people at their weekly meetup (every Saturday after 5pm .. attendees receive 20% off food items). Most everyone at that meetup were dedicated VegFest volunteers, giving of their time and energy to contribute to making the event a great success. We are admittedly, but lowly groupies .. just following and attending the event at all three of their showings in the BC area this year (Nanaimo, Victoria (which I still have to post pictures of ...) and now Kelowna (which I'll also have to post pictures of lol) The dishes we had at Naked Cafe were spectacular, and I don't use that word lightly, with an incredible amount of flavor and depth in in every bite! They also have an incredible variety of items, brunch, dinner, lattes, adult beverages, pizza, and so much more! Whenever you make it out to Kelowna, the Naked Cafe needs to be on your list of top places to visit.

(Bibimbap) and some true Italian (Gnocchi and homemade Pasta) with the rest being slight variants of both. We had the Burrata salad with greens and roasted and fresh tomatoes (nicely skinned) with Pesto, Pune Nuts and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful but needed more salt and acid to tame down the Burrata. Still a nice salad. We split the Patate Fritte which was fried potatoes and gnocchi with a really flavorful Chipotle Mayo. The whole dish didn't work. The gnocchi were over fried and too small to eat with the much larger potatoes which were also underdone. The Tuna Poke Bowl was very nice (and a good deal) with all of the usual components. The Salmon was cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside slightly translucent inside ) and came with a wasabi cream, lots of roasted veggies (potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and somewhat random things like cornichons, caper berries, and beets. The whole thing worked but would have been better with some editing. I personally wanted more wasabi in the cream and wished that it didn't get watered down by all the veggies. They have a nice cocktail list and a decent list of wines by the glass, several local all fairly priced. The place is modern looking with windows overlooking downtown streets in two sides. The place is very modern with lots of metal and concrete and consequently lots of energy and lots of noise. I see this as a great space for a bunch of friends, less so for a romantic dinner. Overall I liked this place. It could be better and I would return. I love what they are aiming for.

Solid cocktails, hip hop vibes…read more We popped into Kraftys to escape the rain and warm ourselves with a cocktail. So happy we did! Their vibe is "hip hop industrial" and the tunes are bumping even during breakfast! The space is open, warehouse with medal and wood fixtures and tables. It still managed to be cozy, helped by the warmth inside relative to the cold deluge outside. We ordered an eggs Benedict to nosh while sipping out drinks of choice (espresso martini for me and a Caesar for my fried) and were both very happy with our cocktails. The eggs Benedict was alright, but oh my, the side of potatoes was amazing! We fought over the crispy well seasoned morsels until the waiter broke us up by removing the plate. Overall, fun vibes and solid cocktails.
