He also was very open to any changes and tweaks that I wanted incorporated. The session took about 6.5 hours and John made sure we took a decent amount of breaks. He was very meticulous and overall, I was extremely satisfied with the completed art piece. On the way we passed by Dragonland Tattoo and decided to walk in and see what it's like. As soon as we walked in you could tell it was a reputable shop. The wall was covered in Best Of and NTA awards. I've been wanting to get a star tattoo for a few years now and was surprised to find that they could get me in pretty much right away, so I figured what the heck let's do it! I got a quarter size outline of a star on my right wrist and it took all of 30 minutes from when we walked in just to check it out to walking out with my tat exactly how I had imagined :) My niece's boyfriend got a rose tattoo on his forearm and was able to get in right after me. Our artist Dustin was awesome and eased my tattoo anxiety, making my experience go much more smoothly than my overthinking brain expected. I would encourage an appointment and consultation for most tattoos as we got small, simple ones that didn't really require one. I will definitely be back if I work up the courage to start the sleeve tattoo I've been thinking about getting. I would highly recommend Dragonland Tattoo, 5 stars from us!!!

The place is centrally located, a nice space, easy walk from many downtown hotels. I set up an appointment by email and deposit. They were very responsive and helpful. My artist was DeonTre. Can't say anything but good about him. If you are looking for someone easy going and detail oriented he is your man. I highly recommend taking a look at his work on Instagram, he has talent. One of the things I enjoy about getting tattoos from various artists, each comes with a different vibe. Each artist gives you a small glimpse into their life story. DeonTre clearly is somebody that is worthy of knowing. Even just a short period with him, I found him to be sharp, engaging and interesting. I came in a week later and Omar and Koujo were in the shop. They were both so polite and courteous, and Koujo gave me an amazing tattoo and an amazing experience. I felt so comfortable there, physically and socially. The practices are very thorough and sanitary. If I get another tattoo I will definitely be coming back here. went in to change jewelry and explained that one of my lobe piercings had healing issues before. I…read moreasked for it to be checked first and was told it would be fine, but it clearly was not healed or ready to be changed. I initially chose a hoop, but it would not fit the piercing. I was then told to choose another piece, and the piercer became impatient and aggressive because I did not pick one fast enough. When he began inserting the new jewelry, it caused severe pain. I repeatedly said "I'm done" and asked him to stop. My sister told him I was bleeding, and he said I wasn't and continued anyway. He kept saying the jewelry was in when it wasn't. I ended up crying, because of how much pressure he was putting on this unhealed piercing, and my sister had to yell at him before he finally stopped. After this, he left jewelry in my bottom piercing. I had specifically asked for jewelry I could unscrew myself, but the piece he put in could not be removed on my own and he even said it himself. Ignoring pain, dismissing bleeding, becoming aggressive, and continuing after being told to stop is unacceptable. This experience was unsafe and unprofessional, and I would not return. My friend that was also there actually recorded the part when I started crying and My Sister had to yell at him to stop. Mind you my sister and I were speaking our own language to each other. The piercer commented that it sounded like "gibberish," then asked if we were speaking English in a rude way. This added to an already uncomfortable and unprofessional experience.
