I wish I would've came to Jamie for my first belly piercing! She's extremely nice and wants the best for you & your piercing. I came to her to re pierce my belly because It closed up. She talked me through my options & even said that if it doesn't work out, I can always come back & she would be willing to pierce something else for me. The process was very fast & surprisingly it didn't hurt as much as my first time! On top of that, she gave me a discount. So sweet!! I would highly recommend would go back! The only downside is the parking, if it's packed, you'll just have to walk a little bit further to get to her shop. read more

Definitely take advantage of their promotions when you can! I came in to get a conch and flat piercing and took the option to be paired with an apprentice piercer at a super low service fee which also included basic jewelry and free anodization! The apprentice is supervised by a senior piercer, in my case the shop owner, and it was a great experience. We went slow and had an easy paced consultation making sure the placement was just right and would also meet the kind of jewelry I wanted. They were happy to change and mark placement multiple times until I was satisfied and the owner was happy. All in, I paid $90 for both piercings including jewelry plus a tip. They are also make sure to go over aftercare prior to and after getting pierced to make sure you are aware of how involved the healing and care process will be. read more

For some reason Google Reviews isn't displaying my review from the summer so I'm cross-posting it here: I just moved to MN and wanted a new piercing for my birthday. Fraidy Cats came HIGHLY recommended by a friend who has been going to the owner Jamie for a decade now. I have 15+ piercings so this is not new territory for me. The same friend called the studio in the morning to check in with Jamie. Two of us wanted two new piercings, not one, and she said one appointment slot per person would be ok. We also let her know we had our own jewelry and she said it would have to be processed. She instructed us to book three back to back appointments with the same piercer online so we did just that and reserved an hour and a half time between the three of us (4pm-5:30pm). We arrived on time (3:58pm to be exact) and Jamie told us that she "messed up" the schedule and needed to help someone else first, but the staff came over to take care of us so it was fine. Our group of three proceeded to complete paperwork and a very lengthy after-care presentation. We were just following the staff's instructions so we figured we were still on schedule. Jamie joined us and called us by they/them pronouns by default which seemed thoughtful. She asked where we bought our jewelry from since it needs to be high quality. She went back and forth between the lobby where we were and her office on the other side of the wall to google the names of the studios where we said we bought the jewelry. Not sure if that's the best way to verify jewelry quality but ok. This was when things went south. Jamie said there was now only enough time for one of us to get pierced with jewelry that we brought and that there was no longer time for two of us to get two piercings each and that we would have to come back a different day. So we let my other friend who was visiting from out of state have that slot. I asked Jamie to process my jewelry alongside my friend's jewelry because I had a feeling there would be enough time for me. She reluctantly agreed and guess what? There was enough time -- my piercing was completed at 5:22pm. The piercer who did my tragus was kind, professional and personable. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Immediately after putting in the jewelry, she told me that it was slightly off and asked me to check the mirror. I calmly said that I didn't like it and asked that we remove it. She said ok but had to notify Jamie first. Jamie stormed in and was completely on the defense, saying things like, "This is a great piercing" and "It looks great to ME." I stayed quiet nearly the entire time. I struggle with social anxiety and standing up for myself, so the last thing I wanted to do was defend myself and start crying. All I was able to say was, "This isn't the placement I agreed to and I want it removed." Jamie removed the jewelry from my ear and explained to the piercer how it was at the wrong angle, while still not validating my decision to have it removed or apologizing for her piercer's lack of proper training. She also didn't do anything to stop the blood from pooling inside my ear and then raised her voice at me when I tried sitting up to prevent blood from going down my ear canal. The piercer tried helping me and Jamie started barking at her asking if there was blood on her floors (there wasn't). Thankfully Jamie left the room shortly after. When we left, Jamie didn't come out to ask how I was doing or say goodbye to my friend who, again, has been going to her for years and consistently refers people to her studio. I went back shortly after we left to ask for my deposit to be refunded since no one had mentioned it at any point. A staff member went to Jamie's office to ask and said that Jamie would take care of it within a few days. At this point it was clear that Jamie had no intention of seeing us out or following up on my experience. Again, this review has absolutely nothing to do with my botched piercing. These things happen. The problem is the way I was treated by Jamie. She had more respect for my pronouns than my well-being. Also I received my refund AFTER this review was posted on Google. read more

I ordered a cartilage hoop from an online store that ended up being too small. I tried to rock it anyway and it ended up cutting into my ear within a week. I couldn't get it out on my own because it was hinged and my ear was swollen/super painful. Thankfully the team at Fraidy Cats was able to release me from my tiny hoop prison without any further pain and got me a larger hoop along with some after care to mend the cut on my ear. They were so kind and helpful! I highly recommend their services. They were also super professional and the shop was very clean. You can tell they take a lot of pride in maintaining a safe and sanitary business. read more

This was my first time getting a piercing from Jamie and WOW! She's absolutely amazing!! Soooooo knowledgeable and very kind. I got a Monroe piercing and she was very thorough in making sure everything lined up and that the jewelry would sit right. I couldn't recommend her enough and would definitely go back to her for another piercing. read more

Very professional but comfortable. Been here twice and will be returning and recommending to friends. She's very sweet and makes sure you're at ease and aware of every part of the process. The jewelry options are cute too! read more

I would not recommend this place. She expects way too much like pictures of piercings(helix)...before downsizing the posts, which is impossible to do. They called me twice about this... I said I was in the middle of something and she all of a sudden then canceled my apptmt to downsize a post. Then she charged me $20 for no reason. I find that appalling behavior of a small business owner. read more

Professional, clean, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, thorough... I could go on and on. Jamie made my piercing experience the best I've ever had. I highly recommend her! read more

Jamie is wonderful. Today, she made room for me to help me with a nose piercing that fell out. She reinserted it and presented me with a professional and comfortable environment that made me feel like I was in safe hands. Thank you, Jamie. read more

Jaimie was super nice and was able to book my boyfriend and I for her last appointment of the day. She seems busy toward the end of the day so book an appointment or walk in earlier in the day. She made us feel comfortable and was really informative of the whole process. Great experience with Jamie and we are definitely coming back! read more

So, I have been getting piercing's since I was 18. I absolutely refuse to go anywhere but here EVER again. J-me is the most professional, caring, and knowledgeable piercer I have ever interacted with. She truly cares about her craft and does whatever she can to make sure you're satisfied. She is absolutely THE expert in all things piercing. I can't recommend her enough. If you're even mildly nervous or just have a few extra questions, she is never in a hurry. She gives each client all the time they need to be sure they're comfortable and you will never leave here unhappy. I'm on year 5 of being her client, can't wait for all the years in the future!! read more

I brought my 7-year-old to Fraidy Cats to get her ears pierced, and the service was outstanding. Jaime was great, the pricing was better than when I brought my other daughter to another piercing shop, and we both had a good experience. The only downside was the walk-in-only policy, which meant we ended up waiting more than an hour, but I think that's common at other shops, too. read more

By FAR the best piercing experience I've had in my life. This is my 14th piercing and out of all the places I've gone to, this is the BEST and it's affordable as hell! I was made feel very very comfortable by Jamie. I went to her for the a new piercing and to talk about irritated piercings and she checked me out and then gave me a run down and even gave me free samples to take home. After that, I talked to her about getting a piercing and new ones for the irritated piercings. She only made me pay for the new piercing and jewelry. I went home with extra balls for my piercings, emu oil, antibacterial soap and sea salt samples and two free piercings because she is so generous. She's also very gentle and careful where she places it. She double checks it 3 times! Jamie's got all kinds of goodies up her sleeve and makes the experience so fun! I'm so glad I found her! read more

I have had multiple piercings in the past 10 years, Fraidy Cats is by far the best body piercing shop I have been to. At times there can be long waits, however, the quality of service provided is worth it. When I came in for a 2nd nostril piercing to mirror my original one, Jamie took nearly 10 minutes (certainly the longest time someone has stared up my nose) to find the perfect position to make sure the two piercings match up. I am no longer willing to get pierced by another body piercer. read more

If your having a PIERCING for the first time or a seasoned Vet..heres a great environment. I went on my 46th B-day...yea I look 30 but who's really paying attention lmao! Point is, pay for the best you get the best. Go to a cheapo place..well you get cheapo results and anti-biotics from your Dr. It's that simple. I seriously recommend RCKT...they ALL know what they are doing and do not hire nit wits who want to change the industry. Peace to the piercers and tats out there..may originality follow your light. Peace. - Tracey. read more

I went to Fraidy Cats after reading the great reviews online. When I walked in it was a inviting environment and kind of busy. Although most of the customers were there to get help with their previous piercings. Jamie clearly explained how to take care of the piercing and gave me some free samples. I could tell that she is very knowledgeable about piercings. She explained that my naval was oddly shaped and could end up looking weird. Although, I decided go through with it and it ended up looking great. Throughout the healing process you can contact her with any problems or questions. Overall, I could tell she cares alot about her clients and running a great business. read more

I found this place on Yelp as I was looking for somewhere to get my nose pierced. I used to have it pierced for years awhile ago but had to take it out for various reasons, so I knew from previous experience what I liked/didn't like for jewelry and whatnot. I stopped in close to Opening time and it was already a wait of about an hour and a half. Since it's just walk ins for piercings I could understand why, plus with a lot of good ratings the wait didn't bother me. Tom who mans the desk was friendly and engaging to everyone who came in and who was waiting. Both Tom and Jamie were warm, knowledgeable, and took time to explain things and answer any questions. I would recommend it to others. Plus I try to support local/smaller shops within my community. While I was there, they told a customer, who was a minor, they couldn't pierce her without proper documentation that was required for her to have- it showed that they are honest about following proper, legal requirements with running the business. The only down side is the small waiting area and limited parking with it being at a busy intersection. Those are more so out of the business' control though- I give 5 stars for the quality of client care, staff, jewelry, and all around having a good feeling about my experience there! read more

Went in yesterday to get a new earring for my forward helix piercing. Jamie was awesome! She took the time to explain my different options and I really enjoyed talking with her. Definitely coming back in a few weeks to get another piercing done. Professional and friendly!!! I usually don't leave reviews, but had such a great experience I had to share :) read more

Jme is an amazing lady! I have gone to her 2 times now and both experiences have been wonderful. She is super friendly and the place is very clean. when she did both piercings (Medusa and nostril) she takes her time to get it perfect. I would recommend her any day. The only down side is that they only take cash which can be a pain in the butt if you only carry a card but even then its worth driving to an atm and getting cash! read more

I went to Fraidy Cats on 8/6 to get my nose pierced. It was my birthday and I used the birthday special. The staff was very nice and congratulated me on my birthday. This was my first nose piercing so I was pretty scared but Jamie was SOO extremely helpful and calming. She joked around with me and explained everything in detail. I could tell she really loved her job and cared about her clients. I was very picky and she did not seem annoyed or anything, she had no problem marking and remarking my nose and letting me try on a nose ring to see how it looked. She was very professional and everything was very organized and clean. I really appreciated her patience and professionalism. The piercing was quick and barely hurt. It was exactly where I wanted it and looked better than I expected. Truly the best experience I've had and I'm not just talking about the body piercing aspect of it. I would give Fraidy Cats a billion stars! I DEFINITELY recommend going to Jamie to get any piercings done. She is so friendly and super nice. I will definitely be going back for any future piercings! read more
