We were in need of a men's wedding band. There are no words for the shape my husband's band was in after 35 years of marriage. When its so bend it scratches your skin when you wash your face, no matter how sentimental, it's time to get a new one. Jeff was our sales person. He was great! We had a basic idea of what we liked and he showed us many options. Husband tried on so many. Oddly, it was one we said 'let's try that on for fun', was what we ended up purchasing. They custom order the size so they don't have to reshape the ring in anyway, compromising its structure. Surprisingly, we didn't have to put anything down. It should be ready in a couple of weeks and we will go back and pick it up. Fantastic experience. Marney is right on in being a spokesperson. read more

Continental Diamond - Jewelry Near Me - Minneapolis, Minnesota

I haven't yet purchased jewelry from continental diamond but I have now gone there for watch batteries. Not only is the price reasonable ($25 as of November 2025), but they are very friendly. As well, on Saturdays they have a bar! There are more economical options for watch battery replacements BUT if you want (1) friendly service, (2) a free drink, (3) some fun jewelry to peruse as you wait, I highly recommend. They completed my 4 watch battery replacements in about 10 minutes and gave me a discount for changing four at once. Would recommend and will be back! read more

I recently got a number of pieces repaired and redesigned. Not only did they do a great job at making the pieces, their customer service and thoughtfulness is exceptional. A special shout out to Dino Kinsley, Krista who helped me, and the jewelers who actually worked on the pieces in back. I guess I've found my go-to local jewelers! Thanks read more

Went here for the first time since I needed to get a watch resized. They were quick to set me up with their watch expert who was very kind and managed to get the watch resized within 5-10 minutes. Asked her what I owe and they said NOTHING! Free?! In this economy? Crazy. So appreciative of their service! read more

Knowledgeable staff, fair prices and exceptional customer service all around. You won't find a better jewelry store in Minnesota

Everything I have bought or that has been repaired at Continental is top notch! From designing something or buying right out of the case their stuff is the highest quality and a fair price. And... everyone who works there is so warm and helpful. read more

I needed a recent purchased apprised for insurance purposes and found Continental Diamond during a Yelp search. I called about ten minutes before they opened (I didn't realize this) and was told the staff was in a staff meeting but the woman took my information down and I received a call shortly after. I was told they were booked for appraisals for the rest of the month but overheard someone in the background mentioning a cancelation. I don't know if this was a tactic or not but I brought my piece in the same day. When I arrived they took a quick photo of my ring and handed me a slip of paper with my information and the photo. I really appreciated that because you hear all these horror stories of not getting the stone back that you bring in at other jewelers- this would prevent that. You can find their pricing online but I paid $85 for one piece of jewelry to be appraised. There was a little confusion on when I could pick up the piece. The sales rep on the phone told me I could come back next day (Wednesday). When I called the following day they told me I couldn't pick it up for another day (Thursday)- but my slip said Wednesday. Overall it wasn't a huge deal, I just missed my engagement ring lol. I got a huge envelope of paperwork and I thought the appraisal was spot on (higher than I thought actually). My insurance company had zero issues with the paperwork provided. I would go back in the future! read more

For many years I purchased jewelry and the service was very good and personal. I went in recently to look at diamond hoops. I had some I bought there and was told I couldn't trade and my jewelry wasn't worth anything. I was immediately insulted. I was not asked if they could show me the diamond hoops since I was interested in some new ones. I asked about appraisals on my past jewelry and they said they now had to charge $50, for each, even though I had just had almost 10, recently. During this conversation, they said we'll clean your jewelry. It was very busy with a trunk show and I asked is my jewelry was all together. They assured me. I received my jewelry and put it in a pouch I had in my purse. The next morning I pulled everything out and my 9 C. Tennis Bracelet was missing!!! I called very upset and was told, there's nothing here". I said, are you sure???!!!, I know you cleaned it. She insisted and I said can you check. She came back and asked me to describe it. Then she said, "I have it in my hand". I was shocked and told her this is so IRRESPONSIBLE!! I ASKED WHY DIDNT YOU FIND IT BEFORE?? She said it was UNDER THE CLEANING BASKET!! Wow!! I have bought so much from them in the past. I Won't Be Back!! Why wasn't it seen???!! One guy got on the phone and said, "You had a lot of jewelry ". Is that why they loose your jewelry?? How does your jewelry go Under the basket???? Very suspicious and totally irresponsible!!! read more

As someone who collects watches, I'm always on the lookout for a great place to have batteries replaced. This place was $35 for 3 high-end watches. can't really beat that price, nice owner! three day turnaround, but it was worth it. read more

Great place, helpful staff - very customer service friendly; great prices; great selection of jewelry.

I've been in the store several times to browse watches. Both Andy and Michael have helped me and both have been extremely helpful and flexible. Not just that they are genuinely nice guys. Michael sold me a Bremont watch that I really like (pictured) and gave me a nice discount since they are no longer going to carry the line. :( I was shown many other watches and always have fun going in there and talking watches with all of the people I have interacted with. We went here to try on engagement rings to get an idea of the style that I prefer prior to purchasing. Immediately upon walking in, we were offered something to drink and directed towards someone that could help us in our search. I was very happy with the speed of service, as the store was already fairly busy. I would definitely return to this location to handle any jewelry needs that I may have in the future. We were attentively cared for throughout the process and our sales associate kept our budget in mind when recommending rings to try on. They really do have as large of a selection as they advertise! Once we were finished trying on various styles, our sales associate wrote down our contact information and recorded the rings that I preferred and my size so that my boyfriend didn't have to remember everything when he came back (big help!). One note I would add is that it would be nice to have somewhere to put your coat while you shop, since it was fairly awkward to hold on to while shopping. read more

Honest jeweler! Five years ago I took my wife's Swiss watch into a Ridgedale Mall jeweler to have them change the battery. Three weeks later I was informed that it couldn't be changed without almost $300 of additional work being done (cleaning etc). So it sat since that time. I noticed that Continental promoted changing Swiss watch batteries for $25. I took the watch in and it was promptly and professionally serviced by Jim for the quoted price. No pressure for an up sell. Just solid work as promised. I'm a fan. read more

I have been a customer with Continental Diamond for over five years now, and they have been fantastic every step of the way. I have shopped for all types of jewelry with them, everything from basic (men's wedding band) all the way up to custom designed (new wedding set for my wife) and they have been easy to work with on both. I also love the wide selection of watches! I have had the pleasure of working with both Andy and Ashly-Nicole on the sales side and can recommend both with the highest confidence. In addition, their service team is second to none! One of the best jewelers in the business! read more

My entire experience with Continental Diamond has been nothing but amazing. My fiancé and I looked at rings in the fall, and the woman we worked with was extremely helpful. She was knowledgeable and seemed to really get what I wanted. After my fiancé proposed, we went back to look at wedding bands and got a cute gift bag (I won't spoil what was in it). Flash to a few months later, and we're about to leave town to see my family for the first time since we got engaged and have some engagement photos taken, and I waited until the night before we left to get it cleaned. This just so happened to fall on one of the worst snowfalls of the year. I called to see if they were closing early (they were) and I booked it to the store from work (a drive that ended up taking an hour). I arrived right as they were closing up (fully prepared to be turned away), and they were so gracious about it! They couldn't let me in since they were closing up, but they took the ring, asked if I'd wait in the lobby, and cleaned it for me! I just love this company and couldn't recommend them more. read more

Perhaps an unsung hero at Continental is Jim on the service team. He has a great sense of humor and is always helpful and friendly. I've been doing business with Continental over the years, but really never made a large purchase until recently ... mostly it has been watch service and batteries. Yet, I've always felt welcome. Jim went way beyond the call of duty recently when it came to having a brand new watch engraved with my daughter's name. It involved a couple trips back/forth to California ... too complex to get into here. Yet, Jim kept me informed at every step of this process and the results were perfect. I picked the watch up yesterday. Jim also introduced me to the owner on a different day which was a nice gesture. Kudos to Jim and the entire Continental team, including Jeff (watches) who spent a lot of time with me in my research stage. Andy was also particularly helpful in the purchase and background. Just a good place to shop. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff Skoglund on an engagement ring and all there is to say is that it was an absolute win. My SO and I shopped around at a few places for rings, but nothing compared to the level of service and comfort that Jeff brought to the process. Every question and customization we wanted to make was met with knowledge and accommodation. My partner is now going to get her dream ring and that's all you can really ask for. Thanks Jeff! read more

Mark helped my fiance design the perfect unique ring that I get compliments on all the time! It took almost 4 weeks to get the ring once they settled on the final details. I am so grateful to Continental Diamond for repairing my wedding band. I had troubles with it cracking and stones falling out, and the original vendor repairs weren't fixing it. We asked Continental to take a look at it when we were there getting a watch repaired. They immediately offered to remake the ring. It's now perfect! The service at Continental is superb. There are very few types of business relationships that don't require trust - but one category that really demands it is shopping for jewelry. I have worked with these folks to buy jewelry, appraise and sell jewelry for many years and have always found them to be straight shooters. Their quality is the best I have seen-their prices are overly fair and you will never feel like someone is "selling " you anything. They are masters at educating you And assisting you in making an decision that fits your needs- not theirs. The reason they are so successful is their staff including Andy, Jimmers - Jimmy and Helaine--among others are the friendliest folks around. I encourage you to see them first and last when purchasing jewelry. You will be happy you did. read more

My engagement ring came from Continental Diamond. My husband had the best experience picking out the ring. The staff at Conteniental was very helpful; providing insight and knowledge about diamonds, rings and settings. Continental is on the first floor of an office building in St Louis Park (the building Clear Channel occupies - KDWB, Cities 97, etc...). Alot of the clientel at Continetal are Vikings and Twins players. I had to have my ring sized and resized because it didn't fit properly with my wedding band. They were always so gracious and kind. When you walk in Continetal (no matter if you are dressed up or in jeans) the staff is always very kind and ready to assit. They don't scoff at you. There are always snacks and drinks offered immediately. They have a bar and almost a full spread of food around Christmas/New Years. Their prices are a bit on the higher end, but it is worth every penny for the service you get! read more

My fiance and I shopped for my engagement ring at Continental, and I cannot say enough about how great our experience was. Initially I was apprehensive, because I knew about CD's reputation for catering to local celebrities, and I am not one of the "pretty people", per se. However, once we began working with Olivia at Continental, I felt completely at ease. Every single associate was friendly and polite. Olivia was able to get a sense of my personality, and steered me toward styles that fit my style. She was discreet and worked to find me a drop-dead gorgeous solitaire for my setting that fit every parameter I set - I could have hugged her. I am excited to visit Continental again for wedding bands, and I plan on being a customer for life. read more

I got my fiancee her engagement ring here and I couldn't be happier. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I worked with Olivia and she was very friendly and patient with us. My budget wasn't anything large and they still treated you like their most important customer. A lof of the staff have worked their for years and are very knowledgeable. On the day I picked up the ring, there was another young couple looking at rings. They were on a very tight/small budget for the ring, and sales person didn't miss a beat, she showed them several options in their budget (Yes, I was being noisy) and was still treating them like number one. Customer satisfaction is their priority and it shows. I think you'll get a much better diamond for similar money than you'll find at the "chains" and service is second to none. read more

About a week ago my wife lost a stone on her engagement ring. We were both distraught. We went to continental diamond and were expecting to pay through the nose for a replacement. That couldn't have been further from the truth. First of all a repair specialist Natalie diagnosed the issue immediately (the wedding band was rubbing on the stones and causing damage) and suggested a solution of soddering the two together. My wife was hesitant but she told her about all the pros and was able to convey this was the correct course of action. No pressure or sales pitch. Just this is what caused the problem and here is a solution. As far as the replacement for the lost stone they were extremely competitive with pricing and because of their connections in the industry will be able to source a rare stone to match the others without issue. If you live within an hour of continental diamond then it should be your one stop shop for all jewelry purchases. Also they have free orangina and cookies. What is not to like? read more

I can't put into words how much I love my engagement ring. My fiance worked with Andy and over the course of several months and countless emails, they put together what I can without exaggeration describe as my dream ring. We have only positive things to say about our experience. It was so awesome that we are working with Andy again to get my wedding band. It is also important to note that my fiance did everything through email and phone calls with Andy, and everything still came out just perfect. We were referred to Andy by one of my fiance's best friends and we trust him fully. Finally, my fiance did a ton of research on pricing, and he was extremely happy with the price he paid. He cross-checked with all the large internet retailers, as well as many stores here at Jeweler's Row in Chicago. Andy is friendly, responsive (gets back to our emails very quickly), knowledgeable, and extremely patient. We have found a jeweler for life! We highly recommend him. read more

I recently purchased a number of items from Continental Diamond and each one of them was perfect. Hannah created the most beautiful wedding ring for my husband, after he had lost his. They did this work quickly, which is surprising in itself but even more impressive because it was done over the winter holidays. read more

I have not purchased from them, yet, but I have made 3 trips there looking at wedding bands and a watch for my fiance. Continental Diamond is the ONLY place from which I will ever buy fine jewelry. Great people, great know-how, great service, and great products. My fiance and I went in with a diamond and a particular design that I wanted out of an engagement ring. It was a little different, I am not just a run of the mill halo engagement ring kind of girl We worked with Helain to do a custom design and it came out to be absolute perfection! He and I went back for our bands and, again, we couldn't just pick two out of the case, we had to make them unique. Again, Helain hooked us up with two custom bands that are just incredible. I am so happy every single day to wear these rings. I wish I had an excuse to buy more! read more

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER (and most beautiful diamonds). As the bride, I didn't get the pleasure to work with Nancy Lach until I was engaged. My now husband met with Nancy, told her exactly what he wanted and together, they created my dream engagement ring. From his description of his experience, it was truly a custom experience (from start to finish). When I first heard he went to a jewelry store, I was blown away because I thought he would have gone to a "diamond guy," buy the diamond and customize the ring. Little did I know that at Continental, you can do just that. You can pick out a ring setting from their displays or you can design a ring from scratch. My husband told her the size of diamond he wanted and asked for a really sparkly one (men are so funny). He said he went into a backroom where he was able to look at different diamonds. He ended up going with a Crafted by Infinity diamond from Belgium (it's stunning). This is available in the states at less than 20 other jewelers. Continental has such an exclusive selection. He then worked with Nancy to customize everything else. I know you can get a diamond online or at any other jeweler, but this is where my five stars comes into play. I needed to get my ring adjusted to the appropriate size, so I went in to see if Nancy was in and this was when I fell in love with Continental. Nancy stepped away from the customers she was with to meet me, congratulate me and tell me all about the diamond my husband selected for me. She has the most charming and charismatic personality. You can't help but love Nancy as soon as you meet her. She makes you feel like you're her best and only customer. And let me tell you - not many people have that kind of charisma. Since meeting her, I've stopped in quite a bit. When you decide to buy your ring at continental, you get a lifetime of complimentary ring cleanings, adjustments, good conversation and COOKIES! I have needed to adjust my ring size, clean it multiple times (they make rings sparkle like you've never seen) and get it tightened - every time, free of charge. Now if you were to buy your engagement or wedding rings online, you are surrendering that aspect of customer service for a few dollars less. I am so happy knowing that I have a lifetime warranty with our rings and friendly faces to adjust and clean my ring when needed. I want to give out to Carrie (Kari?) who has helped me a significant amount with my adjustments and has been amazing to work with (I might just happen to be one of their more high maintenance clients, but I would never know if I were). If your dream ring is nowhere to be found, go to Nancy at Continental and she and the team will create it for you. The whole team at Continental is amazing, and I couldn't recommend them more. I would NEVER buy jewelry online or from any other jeweler after meeting Nancy at Continental :) Highly highly recommend!! read more

One of the most special times in your life revolves around the diamond business and Continental Diamond does everything right. The management team is extraordinaire. Customer service is what they are known for and it shows right when you walk in the door. The staff are friendly and warm, but also very knowledgable and not pushy as some other jewelers tend to be. My husband bought my engagement ring here. He said even though this was one of his biggest purchases thus far, he felt confident that he was in good hands. I'm still in awe at my ring. BEWARE! A good reputation, beautiful stores, big brand names and microscopes do NOT equal professional quality services! Years ago my insurance man paid for an item purchased in Asia to be appraised. He sent me to Continental Diamond. So when my 73 year old mother lost a stone in a ring, I took her there. I thought I was looking out for her. We entered the store, and were greeted with smiles. We approached one of several individuals behind the tall Customer Service - Repair desk. We shared that we brought in a ring that had lost a diamond. We needed to know what size the stone needed to be, and get an estimate for the new stone and repair. The woman took the ring and placed it under a microscope. She told us that the ring had cubic zirconia and was not gold. It was a metal, and she could not place a stone into it because she could not move the metal. She would need to glue a new cubic zirconia into it. My mother and I were dumbstruck. My mom said are you sure? I have papers on it. The woman examined it again under the microscope and confirmed her original assessment. My mother had purchased the ring in Austin, Texas her hometown years ago. It was from a small family run store she had used for repairs and watch batteries for years. Now she and I were both confused. We felt swindled, humbled and lost. We had not brought her papers with us because we were just adding a stone. It did not occur to us we would need them. So we politely asked how much for the repair. The woman stated $20 for the new piece. So she paid the fee and shipping to have the ring returned to her. When my mom relayed the story to my dad his response was "horseshit!" The next day he located the independent appraisal that had been done for my mom's ring back in 2001. He called Continental Diamond, gave his claim number, and explained the problem. They asked for five minutes to review the ring and gather the information they had. They would call him back. Under four minutes the original "Repair-Sales Representative" called my dad. Due to poor cell phone reception, the call was not connected. He got a cell phone message saying that "Yes, they had discovered the error when they cleaned the ring, they had simply been too busy to call...they'd let them know the difference in price and could put it on the card." (It had been over 24 hours since the ring was dropped off!) He immediately called her back and stated not to touch the ring. They had lost confidence in Continental Diamond, and asked when he could pick it up. She gave the store hours, and said any time is fine. My dad was now even more appalled at the handing of the situation and asked to speak with a manager. After three or four minutes a woman got on the phone. My dad explained the situation to her. She apologized for the way it was handled, said she had looked at the ring and could see the 14k gold stamp inside the band. She offered to have the ring fully "restored" at no charge to my parents. My dad gave the phone to my mom to listen to the story, and make the decision. She went ahead and gave consent to do the repair. The woman said this was going to be a "case study" for what NOT to do at their next meeting...the ring could be picked up two days later after noon. I drove my mother back to pick up the ring. Again we approached the tall desk at the back of the store. My mother stated she was there to pick up a repair and gave a woman we had not seen before the claim check. She went to the back and appeared with my mother's ring in a plastic bag. She simply stated it looks like there is not a charge for this. No smiles, no "sorry"...she looked somber. My mother said that she had talked to the manager and the repair was to be no charge, and asked if they had credited her credit card for the repair and shipping she had already paid for. The woman looked confused, looked at the computer, and didn't think so. She went and asked a tall older man about it. She came back and said she had approval to return the charges. She took my mom's card and when my mom was signing the slip I asked the clerk if she had been told about our situation. She said "Heard a little, but not really." I shared that I was surprised because we were told by the manager that this would be used as a case study of what not to do to a customer at the next training. I asked when their last training was. She told me it was the day before we arrived, and nothing was mentioned about it. WOW!! If this were my store, I would make sure everyone at that counter working that day knew of the situation and rolled out a red carpet! I probably would have included a hand written apology. The lesson learned is work from a position of power. Do your homework so you know what you need. Take your paperwork with you. Do not assume because someone stands behind a "Customer Service - Repair" tall impressive desk with a microscope that they know what they are doing! read more
