Extremely Disappointed - Would Not Recommend Land Rover West Houston If you're considering purchasing a vehicle from Land Rover West Houston -- especially remotely -- I urge you to think twice. My experience purchasing a 2018 Cadillac Escalade has been nothing short of frustrating, and unprofessional. I bought the vehicle sight unseen after placing my trust in their sales associate, David Hudzietz , who was very helpful and provided detailed photos of the vehicle and assured me the Escalade was in good condition. I specifically asked to be informed of any cosmetic or mechanical issues, including paint, trim, and overall drivability. I purchased the vehicle and had it delivered to Colorado. As soon as I drove the vehicle, I noticed that it had a loud knocking noise coming from the undercarriage (which I immediately documented and shared in a video) and two cracks in the windshield -- both of which were never disclosed. These are not small details. I raised my concerns in a detailed email that was forwarded to the management team Chad Tatum & Daniel Gonzalez by my sales representative. Nearly two weeks later, I have received no follow-up, no acknowledgment, and no attempt at resolution. Instead, I saw a dismissive internal response from the salesman claiming there were "no cracks in the windshield," as if I was making this up -- despite clear photographic evidence and firsthand observation upon delivery. My sales representative assumed it must've happened during the shipping to Colorado. Regardless of when it happened, it should be addressed and taken care of. This dealership was happy to sell me a car, but disappeared the moment a problem arose. That's not just poor customer service -- it's a breach of trust and a complete failure of responsibility. I expected more from a luxury car dealership. If you value transparency, communication, and basic customer care, avoid Land Rover West Houston. read more

I can't say enough about the team here at Jaguar West Houston. I found my dream car, a pre-owned Lexus and David H was professional, kind, and accommodating. Ordinarily, I absolutely ABHOR going to car dealerships with a passion. David was so chill throughout the whole experience. Super personable, incredibly patient, and just a kind hearted human. The pricing for this particular vehicle I bought in the interior and exterior color I wanted was perfect. I could not have been more pleased, even going through their financing even though I had my own set up and initially intended on not using financing. Only negative was the pushing of their warranty, but I guess it's just business since they need to try to make even more money than they already are making off the trade and the purchase. "Everyone purchases the extended warranty." Yes, if it's a Land Rover or Jaguar...not a Lexus. "No" means "No." That would be my only complaint, but like I said, it's business; I get it. (-1 star) Pressure sales tactics almost never work. Let the service and the product sell itself. Overall, AutoNation has gained a customer. Whether it's here at Jaguar West Houston, or any of the AutoNation's nationwide, David set the standard to that of which others should strive to attain. read more

Manager Daniel Gonzalez is no doubt the most unethical car sales manager I have ever encountered. Shady, slimy and the exact reason people can't stand buying cars. Signed a deal with me and before I knew it he had made a deal with someone else on the very same car. Thanks for a complete waste of time and putting a quick dollar ahead of honor. Salesman Aaron did a great job but unfortunately he is not in management and management put him in a terrible position. read more

This place is awful as I'm waiting in sales floor, one of the sale managers CHAD TATUM yelled a young girl. This man went 0-100 on this poor girl for what it looked like a simple question infront of EVERYONE. Unacceptable and uncalled for. read more

After reading all of the low reviews of the service department, I was expecting the worst experience. However, I worked with Hope and she was amazing. She was welcoming, pulled up my car's maintenance schedule, and she reviewed the recommended services. It was no pressure to select exactly what I wanted done. The car was ready within the time of 2 hours that she alerted me in the beginning. read more

After reviewing the YELP reviews regarding the Service Dept at this dealership, I see the crappy customer service does not end there. I purchased a vehicle from this location on 9/30/2022. Closing process and picking up my new vehicle was uncomfortable and less than seamless. I was left alone at the Salesman's desk, I was moved to another office, I met the manager at the Salesman's desk. Very disjointed process. Salesman Hillard never asked how I would be paying for the vehicle and when I arrived to explain how the payments would be allocated there was no issue. When the finance office came to speak to me, I was informed I could not pay the amount I planned, on a credit card. I had to quickly pivot to an alternative plan which should NEVER happen on a purchase this large. I would NOT recommend this dealership. read more

As far as the sales department goes this dealership is top notch. Super helpful super nice. But if you have to take it in for service or have a problem on the road God help you. We had a flat and the vehicle we had purchased did not have the key to remove the lug nuts so they towed it to this dealership. I mean this is a Luxury vehicle service department and the guy was so crappy to my wife once we got him on the phone. Then he wanted to charge us for lug nuts. What kind of nickel and dime game is this guy playing. (Jose). I had them to put the spare on the Jaguar and drove 1/2 mile down the road to BMW where they actually take care of their customer. So if you want a Land Rover or Jaguar buy it here if you need service I would find another location for that. read more

** This is a review of the SERVICE department. ** I purchased two vehicles from this dealership in 2020 & 2022. The service has always been too notch. I purchased the many protection plans and my service advisor Edwin always made sure everything I needed was taken care of! He consistently gave prompt service, a great attitude and he cares about his customers. When he wasn't available Mario stepped in and gave personalized and great service as well. I came back to purchase another vehicle a few weeks ago and was able to get everything squared away with another vehicle. I gave four stars only because the service department rarely answers the phone, but once you get connected with a service advisor, they'll take it from there! read more

Worst customer service . Took my far in for service . We agreed that parts were going to get ordered a month before I bring the car in so that I don't have to wait for the parts to come in after I drop it off. A month go by; my car has been in there for a week and I get a call that Parts won't come in for another week . The crazy thing about Land Rover is that they don't even give you a loaner of same model as the car you have. Why would I drive a velar when I have a full size Range Rover ? It's unacceptable . Car under warranty . Defects are not my fault. Shouldn't be given a velar. I know that the full size RR is expensive but so are Porsche's. When you go to Porsche they treat you right. They give you panameras and cayennes as loners. Treat your customers right! read more

Seriously worst experience I ever had with service department. Drop my car for service for one issues , not just that they didn't fix the problem because they said they couldn't find something , they make a bigger problem with the car and now they stated that's it's not their fault. I will Never visit this place again and I recommend for everyone to stay away . This place is unprofessional and no customer service: just looking for your money. read more

Service is great here! ignore the reviews of people complaining over little things! Go see Tanner he will get you taken care of! Best Service advisor ever! Took great care of me. I look forward to working with him in the future read more

I purchased a car from this dealership in April of 2021. I've had severe maintenance issues and have had it into the dealership or other Land Rover dealerships seven times. After their service tech Edwin failed to fix my issue after two separate trips in; I was told to reach out to Aubrey Cook the Service Manager. I am now 23 texts, 9 calls and still ZERO follow up on my issue. He has stopped responding and is pretty much no longer helping in my giant lemon of a vehicle. It seems with this dealership that when they can't fix, or have a solution they stop communication all together. Do NOT buy here. The true test of a dealership is how they respond when there is an issue. This place is terrible. Don't buy from them as if there is any issue they'll abandon you at the first chance they get. I'm filing a claim tomorrow with the BBB, Attorney General of Texas and exploring my legal options as this vehicle I bought is a giant POS. read more

Went got an oil change and the price was not honored that the online appointment claims it will give you if it's online. Multi point inspection was done. Mentioned timing chain needs to be done $8 grand but said tires passed. 2 weeks late go get vehicle inspected and the mechanic points out a tire with wires showing. I wouldn't trust or bring my car back here. The drive downtown is worth it to Land Rover. read more

Worst experience in my life. In my opinion, they sold me a broken car. But said to not worry because they have a warranty. Warranty company then refused to make a repair. The dealership would not help at all, even though the car broke when I was driving it home. Extremely dishonest. . do not care at all about customer. Stay away and save yourself a lot of headache. read more

Complete lack of customer service. Scheduled a service appointment at 10am. Spoke with the service desk 5 minutes prior to the appointment time and was asked to wait in the lobby and they would be right with us. 30min later, no help, spoke with the desk agent again and was told Jose would help us in just a minute. 20 minutes later, Jose asks to move our car. We asked if we could be helped and were told, after 50 minutes from our prescheduled appointment, that he was busy with someone else. Decided not to make a scene or speak with the service manager since he also spoke with everyone except us. Will bring our business elsewhere. read more

My wife and I dropped off our vehicle last week to get service done with a service advisor named Jose. From the very beginning, Jose was arrogant with us and just really didn't seem interested in helping or working much less giving good service. Last Friday he got back a detailed report showing what items are not working and that need to be replaced. I tried calling him all day without any success until finally, I got him on the phone at 4 pm. He told me that there were 10 clients ahead of me and that he wasn't going to be able to call the warranty company until tomorrow afternoon | he said he might get back to me tomorrow afternoon? I asked him why he hasn't called the warranty company yet or given us an update and he said he's been too busy? | Absolutely not what I expected from a company like Land Rover | truly disappointed with how Jose has no care in the world for his client's time. I tried reaching out to Abrey Cook the Service Manager but he was in a meeting | left him a voicemail and now I have to wait and hope that he will call me back so that I can get this issue resolved. If there's a manager that works at this location and reads this can I ask you to kindly call me | Please change my service adviser to anyone besides Jose! Can you please have someone call the warranty company so that we can get our headlights changed and all other issues fixed? Vlad & Cristina Restrepo read more

HORRIBLE Customer Service. Cannot get a "live" person on the line to talk to. Left messages, texted, emailed, got no response. My car was hit a few weeks ago; took it in for estimate/repair. Parts were not available for a week. Got my car back so have something to drive in the meantime. Been calling my service advisor, parts department, collision, new car sales, accounting, and leaving messages. No one has called me back. VERY frustrating. Will NEVER purchase another vehicle from West Houston Range Rover again. Buyer beware. read more

Went in to see the new Land Rover Defender and overall had an okay experience. Staff was nice, but our salesman didn't seem to care much about selling the car. He was very quiet and it was mostly me asking questions and trying to understand the car better. Overall an okay experience read more

I don't recommend this location. Amy Donnette the finance manager is extremely inconsiderate and rude. She will sweet talk you and the minute you don't want to buy her warranties she scowls and it's extremely off putting. Will never return. Management doesn't care about this. They know and don't do anything about. Even the sales reps agree that she's bad for business. read more

Run away people, run away. Worst experience--terrible customer service. Ready to buy a car and trade mine but they offered 50% LESS than a near IDENTICAL car on their lot which had MORE mileage. Tried to make a deal and even offered $$ to hold the car until I got off work. Apparently they're making so much money, they don't need mine. That's right, they turned it down. Mr. Manager was all about lecturing me on the finer points of their beloved "no haggle" policy and not at all interested in selling me a car. read more

One word--run! From the General Manager, Kolby Wahl, to the salesman, Daniel Terry, this dealership cares nothing about customer service. They're strictly in business for sales. They bait you by being extremely friendly--even badmouthing other local Land Rover dealers as being unethical and shady. After your purchase, best of luck getting any of them to respond to a call, text or email. I've had issue after issue since leasing a brand new Range Rover HST to the extent that I've had to engage with Jaguar Land Rover North America's customer relations to get assistance. Even customer relations has commented that they can't believe this dealer is even a part of the Land Rover brand because they can't even reach anyone there. Fair warning to my fellow consumers, do not ignore this. Take heed to my advice and take your business elsewhere--especially if you're like most consumers with the least bit of expectations for common courtesy and quality customer service. The dealer with "detail" your new vehicle to cover up what might not be visible to the naked eye just to make a sale. According to the service advisor, Ernesto, they have had to repaint several brand new vehicles (after the purchase) because they've allowed bird droppings to damage the paint as they sit in the blistering Texas sun. You would think a dealership selling a luxury brand with trims in excess of $100K would take more pride in their inventory. Wrong! To make matters worse, I've been contacting Kolby Wahl, Daniel Terry and Daniel Gonzales for an update on my registration. When you call the dealership directly, I'm told that they're in the middle of a sell. Of course they are--because that's the only thing that matters to them! I've texted, called and left messages with the receptionists for over a week now with promise after promise for a call back. Nothing! read more

JLR West Houston is a dealership of integrity and top class followed by a white glove service. I have brought my Jag XJ here twice for service since their opening, once for my wiper spray and to change my tires and alignment. Oscar Beltran (Service Advisor) took good care of me! Communication: his communication was always punctual, he kept me in the loop if the expected timeline was going to run over and when the car was complete. Integrity: he wasn't trying to take my money and send me up the river as most would. When I took my car in for alignment, I did not know my tires were bad, he called to inform that the best solution would be to change the tires and then get an alignment. I would have just settled to do the alignment and go on my way, but he warned me that although, a bad alignment can cause bad tires, fixing an alignment with bad tires will cause my alignment to go unaligned in the near future. I appreciated his honesty and his advice of doing the right thing, he wouldn't allow me to do this to my car. White glove service: Oscar always made sure that I had a loaner, he always made sure that my car was shiny like new upon delivery, he and his team would see me out the door and shake my hand when I left. I've been to other high end dealerships who could care less if you are there. Oscar, I can't thank you enough! Phillip Pham (Service Manager) thank you as well for your accommodations! read more

Walked in ready to buy, even knew which car I wanted. No one would even get out of their chair to greet me. Guess they didn't want to sell to a woman. Read the reviews. It's all true. Service department strives for mediocrity. And they very rarely hit that mark.

Bought a used Range Rover here in 2020.... Before purchasing I made a list of items needed to fix. Of course they promised and I made the mistake of paying cash. Front shocks were worn out, I replaced. Brakes were thin. I had them replaced. Overspray on the door and glass instrument cluster from them painting the leather to hide the wear. Windshield washers fell off at high speeds. After fixing $12000 worth of items, it's a great car. Just THIS STEALERSHIP and their incapable service department is ridiculous.. Go to Southwest Land Rover.... They aren't like the dealerships in Dallas, but they are for sure better than Central or West.. Do not waste your time with West in Katy.... No matter the price of the vehicle. Purchase at Southwest was better for sure... read more

I've been looking at a couple of cars for the past year. Eric Santana heard what I was wanting in the style and handling as well as staying in my price range. He delivered! Was ready to get into a brand new car but I was offered a higher price in store then the AutoNation online listed price, when negotiating that was their bottom line. If they were to match Sonic Automotive's offer and gave me tier 1 numbers instead of tier 2 like i found out during a follow-up call when the numbers didn't add up. Overall the dealer rather sit on the car 200+ days then make a sale. Highly recommend checking out the other 3 Range Rover dealerships as they are highly motivated. read more

The best car buying experience I've ever had! I got a great deal on a car and an extremely fair trade-in offer for my previous car. Daniel Terry was a pleasure to work with. Beyond disappointed with this new dealership. I brought my RR sport Autobiography for a reoccurring problem, which could not be diagnosed after evaluating during two different appointments. The second appointment only occurred after I insisted, as the representative did not return the call for min of 2 weeks. In the interim, while at the dealership I expressed interest in purchasing a new Range Rover with zero follow up from sales. To purchase a car of value from $85K-$140K, the service and maintenanceto support does not exist nor does the initiative to earn a sale and satisfy the customer with service. read more

Purchased a used truck from here. Aaron Gomez was my salesman he did an excellent job and made it a smooth purchase experience. I had an issue with the truck with faulty spark plugs and coils but since you get a 90 day/4000 mile warranty from autonation I took it back. They sent me to autonation ford next door which does all of the repairs for anything not Jaguar or Range Rover. That experience was horrible they wouldn't recognize the warranty and tried to charge me $850. I called Aaron and they let me take it back to them and they did the repair no questions asked. Definitely recommend this place! read more
