Clean from bottom to top is what people always remarked on but there is much more that sets this [place apart from its competitors. The staff here is nothong short af astonishing; with their ability to juggle all of the tasks which keep them so busy during their shifts youy would think grumpiness and irritation would be the mood of the place but far from it. The employees :Tina, Cindy, & Terry are all wonderful people who will go out of their way to help and they are never too busy to listen to a customers concern or even an interesting anecdote. Miss Cindy and Tina also have interesting anecdotes as well if you can slow them down enough to share them. And then of course there is Chris. The owner and heart of the laundry. I do not know of someone who is so well able to balance kindness and consistency with the rules..rarely , if ebver has a customer walked away from speaking with Chris with less than a satisfied smile on their face. He is the best boss i have ever had. Truly they deserve % stars but I am giving them 4 and only because Im not there anymore. Still there is not a finer cleaners in town or out,

I fought for my $.50. They do it 24/7 so you can imagine how much extra money they are stealing really each day from customers! I do appreciate them letting me be charged with their CC machine because their machine to get coins was down but they should provide customer with $.25 cents worth coins not $1 to not steal from customers. The buttons on the machines themselves were cracked and/or missing. The place was hotter than a comfortable level. I think we got lucky with the fact that nobody but a homeless couple was there. I personally wouldn't go back, just based on the surrounding area and overall cleanliness. At least my clothes are washed!

My washer I bought brand new 3 years ago is on the fritz again, so I guess I will be here until my washing machine repair dude returns my call. Coming here is not so bad, the wash cycles are short, only 25 minutes. Large capacity washers are only $5.75 versus another laundromat I visited THAT CHARGED $8 FRACKING DOLLARS! So yeah, this place is much cheaper. I did not use the dryers, I just took my clothes home to dry. You can buy soap here, plenty of places to sit, you don't have to wait for a washer or dryer to open up. There are three TV's to watch, a restroom. 24/7 video surveillance, located in a shopping center with plenty of parking and a Whataburger in case you need a snack. This laundromat is super safe, I am a woman alone washing clothes. No strange people hanging around, which is awesome.Southern People are super sweet and will talk to anyone, which I usually do not mind, I was just not talkative that day because I had too many errands to run & wanted to get home. I only saw two machines that were out of order. The prices are as follows for washers: $2.50 for a small load, $4.00 for a medium/large load, $5.75 for a extra-large load. There are two change machines, takes ones, fives, tens, & twenty dollar bills- provides quarters NOT tokens. The dryers are 25 Cents a load, huge, but I think you may need to dry things more then once. I did not use the dryers, only the washers, my washing machine needs repair, so I will spend time at this laundromat weekly until that happens. This place is air conditioned, it's Alabama, that is a year round thing here. There was a machine to buy soap, but it looked like it was out of order, so bring your own soap. There are chairs to sit & wait, and several tables to fold your clothes. It is a pretty clean place. Park in front of the entrance. This laundromat is well lit, and next to a Chevron gas station, Old Shell Market; and Mary's Nails is on the other side of that. I did not see any questionable people around, but Mobile Police frequently stop & park in the shade there, so it is pretty safe. I saw a variety of people, locals, college students, migrant farm workers, workers from the local shipyard, I also spoke to a truck driver just passing through, a couple from New Jersey. Everyone is nice. The washers are fast, they only take 23 minutes apiece, so I was in & out of there. If you are hungry, or not from around here, drive a mile south on Old Shell Road, there is a shopping center on Florida Street that has a Publix Supermarket, Mexican food, Pizza, Greek Food, Ice Cream Parlor. Drive a little further south on Old Shell Road, there is Ashland Pub & Nixon's if you want a beer or shot. The area surrounding the laundromat is a mix of private schools, churches, local businesses, a park (Sage-Herndon Park), residential area. It is an older part of town but safe.
