I booked a two week volume fill. I visited just before Christmas and came back a few days into the New Year. I was not contacted prior to my appointment to be told that I would not be able to do this. Mind you, I booked a few days in advance. Instead once I was at her station with product on my eyes, that's when she mentioned that I only had a few lashes left on my left eye and since I visited in December I'd have to do a full set. This is predatory behavior. I showed you a photo of what I wanted. Before service or during the time you walked in or when I discussed what I wanted was the time to bring this up so I can decide if I still want to move forward. NOT when my eyes are shut. Furthermore, I found her to be less than hospitable. There was no one in the shop when I came in. I went to the restroom so I know that. The lady at the front desk with purple hair notified me when I returned that Tamara knew I'd arrived. She comes through the door Stanley cup in hand and doesn't even acknowledge me. She goes to her station and a few minutes later, walks up to me and says "I'm ready for you now." Manners have truly gone out of the door. This was my FIRST time working with her. A simple hello when she walked in and walked past me would have sufficed instead she completely acted like I wasn't there. This is Atlanta lash techs are a dime a dozen. The relationship you build with clients is imperative to maintain business and a good reputation. Unfortunately, I will not be patronizing her again because I found her rude and her attempt to get more money out of me was predatory. I'll either work with another tech or find a different salon. It is located on the second floor of the shopping plaza, inside of the Salon Lofts (next to Marshall's). Once you go in, look to the right, make the first left turn, and you will see their studio on the right. If no one is there, you can use the phone in the front, and someone will assist you. Mikala greeted me warmly and asked what I wanted to get done. I originally came for wax and tint, but ultimately decided on just a wax. She measured my eyebrows, told me that one was shorter and thinner, and that it was higher than the other. With each visit, she said she would take it down about 1/4 inch. I have NEVER had anybody analyze my eyebrows so closely! I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for 15 years, and they still hurt everytime. This time, it didn't hurt at all! She even gave me a spoolee, and recommended that I use castor oil to grow my brows out. Also, when I arrived, Nikki, the service provider was at the front and no one was there. I told her about my appointment, and she left to go talk to the manager. About 5-minutes later, the manager (maybe owner) and another woman, and Nikki appear and sort of surround me. The manager says, "You would like the (something) facial much better. It is so much better than the facial you have. It is much more relaxing. You have your own room." Then she pauses and says, "It is only, um, 30 dollars more." Girl, do I look rich? When I was done, (Nikki, who legit did the best job she could given extreme supervision by the manager), I had not even opened my eyes, and the manager exclaimed, "Did you nap? Was it so relaxing?" OMG, she was the most annoying person ever. Just chill out and let people have a good time without feeling pressure to do something for you. I told her I wasn't napping, and my eyes were closed because it was a facial. (Do people keep their eyes open during a facial?) I checked out. She honored the Groupon price (which was basically the same price as the facial anyway), and then, if she couldn't be more pushy and rude, says to me, "Will you write a review?" I said, yes, I will. I waited about less than 10 minutes. They had uncensored pop radio playing as I waited and when I got into the chair it was classical piano, which I really appreciated. (This was likely just coincidence but I was glad). I think we all would like our services to be relaxing and that definitely added to my experience. Service: I got my eyebrows, chin, and lip threaded by Nera. Nera has been threading for 2 years, and with a bit of guidance, she helped me achieve my desired outcome. I did spend more time in the chair than I expected because of this, but I was ok with that. The one thing I wish would have been more obvious is the sanitization of hands, especially since gloves are not worn. I had to ask for this to be sure. 4 stars because of this and the level of expertise. My brows are clean and shaped and my face is smooth and bright after my service. The pricing was super reasonable, I was charged $26 total. I received a $5 discount for being a first time guest. All in all, I would definitely come back again for threading services.
