Instead of 2 barely noticeable stains, I now had 4 huge watermark stains. Dropped off my dress and it was ready in time for my event this week. When I picked up the dress, it looked brand new. On top of that, there were obvious new stitches added that hadn't been there before, and they didn't even remotely match the fabric or color of the knit. I also brought in a trench coat, which came back with all the same stains untouched -- honestly, for the best considering what happened to the dress. When I returned to show them the damage, there was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to offer compensation. I had to request a refund myself. The employee handed it to me and simply walked away without even acknowledging the inconvenience. This place used to be excellent before the ownership change. Now it's an absolute mess. Please do not trust them with valuable clothing, especially anything sentimental like a wedding dress.

I brought them in on a Friday on my way to work and not only did they have a zipper there to put in, but incredibly were able to complete the job by the next day!! I recently went back with my senior citizen dad to have two suits taken in as he has lost some weight over the last few years. We were worried that it would cost more to alter than to replace the suits but we got a very reasonable price and again, amazingly, were able to pick the suits up the next day. The two women who waited on us (I think one is the owner) were very pleasant, professional, and skilled. They didn't hesitate to tell me that the pants of one suit really didn't need to be taken in. They were very courteous to and patient with my dad. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. This place is a find. Convenient (on the Waverly bus line out of Harvard Square) and with on-street parking. The establishment is clean and pleasant with room to maneuver (sometimes tailor shops can be cramped and overfull).
