The majority of the clothing here is trendy without being over-the-top youthful that an older woman wouldn't feel comfortable shopping (looking at you, Forever 21). The carry a ton of Ivy & Leo clothing. Some of their sales can be great at the turn of a season (50-75% off). I would like to see them boast a larger shoe selection as they usually only have a few styles available when compared to their clothing selection. The service here is pretty standard for boutiques - they promptly asked me if I needed to start a fitting room and were able to answer my pricing questions. They didn't go above and beyond with asking me if I needed new sizes or pulling other items they thought I would like. One interesting thing to note is that the staff seemed incredibly young - high school to early college-aged, I wasn't really sure who was in charge. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the Park Road Shopping Center area!

This is a boutique in Southpark that I've visited a dozen times over the years...mostly because I…read morelove their selection of jewelry. More than any other boutique, Boem seems to have the most variety of big, bold necklaces...exotic tribal styles, statement pieces, etc.etc. You're sure to find something cute (in apparel or accessories) during your excursion here. I found some of their clothing way overpriced...a ballpark of $200 for some of their tops (even T-Shirts!), for instance. Jewelry isn't cheap either, but relatively cheaper? This is a fairly big store, with a long layout, but they have SO much stuff, it's a bit packed in...and hard to manueuver around, but only if the store is fairly crowded. They do have HUGE, private, walk-in closets though (only 3?)...so plenty of privacy. One other thing I didn't like was that on my last visit, they were playing Country-Western music...which I didn't think fit the look and style of the store at all (unless maybe it's moving in that direction?). Before that, they always played cool, more metro type music. So guess I don't love EVERYTHING about this boutique...but no matter, this is a fun, eclectic boutique...with lots of relaxed, Bohemian styles (very Californian?), which I tend to wear often. We had to circle the lot and eventually found a spot. The shop sells ladies clothing that has kind of a laidback, California style. Some of the items look like pieces you could wear to concerts or events like Coachella. The layout is easy to navigate - bralettes and crop tops at the front, jeans and shorts in the center on tables, skirts and dresses on the left side of the wall, tops and outerwear mixed in at the back and in the center across from the registers, and shoes on the right side of the shop. Staff greeted everyone warmly and told us to let them know if we had questions or needed help. I was there to browse. While I didn't see anything this trip, it was a pleasant space - perhaps not my style of clothing, but they had some great pieces. Definitely plan in advance with regard to parking - it could be tricky to find a spot.

But with my champagne taste and a tasty micro beer budget, I was looking forward to checking out Ivy & Leo's new store in SouthPark at the Specialty Shops on the Park. Upon my entry, the first thing I did was gravitate to the fall sweater dresses and checked a few price tags around the store. Here's what I saw as (very) general price break downs from my quick peruse: Tops: $30-$60 Sweaters: $40-$80 Dresses (cocktail): $50-$100 Dreses (casual): $30-$75 Jackets: $30-$100 (didn't see real leather here) Jeans: Didn't get a chance to check these out Accessories: $5-$30 Shoes: Didn't get a chance to check these out either So, as you can see the prices are pretty affordable for a cute trendy piece. This store definitely skews a bit younger, but it's not "clubbing" clothes, nor will these items last more than three seasons if you know what I mean. I did a little digging and I found a really cute blousy cocktail dress with a bit of beading on the sleeves for $60. Plus, they usually don't carry more than 3-5 of each item (varied size) so the likelihood that you'll run into someone sportin' the same dress/coat/shirt/etc. is rare. While it's not my end all be all to Charlotte fashion, it's nice to have a store like this that's really accessible to wide range of ages and interests. With the nice, helpful and non-pushy staff, eclectic selection and affordable prices, I'll be back to Ivy & Leo!

Moat of the clothing I saw was sheer or in thinner fabrics (not sure if it's because it's the summer season or if is a norm for clientele) the shirts appear to be shorter where they will show your belly ( crops or bra tops mainly) some are strapless or have spaghetti straps. It just depends on your personal preference of clothing that you're interested or are looking for. If your going out or need weekend clothes this may be for you. The largest size they cary is a large. They note occasionally they may carry an extra large but it's rareI didn't see many larges in the items I liked.
