A slice of chocolate cake - rich and delicious
    Jess L.

One of my friends recommended this bakery to me. It is located downtown Melbourne, there is street parking out front or there is a parking lot nearby. Their ice cream was so delicious, it really hit the spot. The almond croissant is delicious but it isn't always consistent, sometimes it is more baked than others - still delicious. They also have macarons, cake slices, fruit tarts, cookies, and other bakery items. There are coffee and tea options but I come for the bakery. There is seating inside and it has been fairly quiet every time I've gone in. The staff has always been attentive and helpful when I've gone in, very nice too. Great for a quick snack, dessert, or even a date.

Lost in the aromas of fresh brewed coffee & baking at this authentic French patisserie. Brie & ham croissant is heaven

Escaping reality for the morning eating brunch listening to French radio station and getting lost in the aromas of fresh brewed coffee & baking from the kitchen at this little authentic patisserie. Most amazing croissant ever, flakey and all butter. They import their flour from France for all their bakery items. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Such a cute cafe- French children's books to read too! 'TinTin'

Saturday @ Jacqueline's Bakery & Cafe Lovely way to start the day! Grandson had a croissant, we shared cinnamon roll and chocolate croissant. Delicious!! Coffee here is fabulous.

The staff was Super Friendly! First time trying Creme Brulee and it was Delicious! Great dessert to finish the night!

It was my first time visiting this store and my last I was very excited to try the coffee and all the desserts they offered because the place looks nice. The girls that are in the store have zero courtesy and do not promote good customer service, they do not greet when customers come in and they do not even have the courtesy to offer the products they sell or even recommend any products. They were always standing next to each other chatting. The only thing I found funny was the beret hat that one of them was wearing. I started by ordering one (1) iced coffee and one (1) eclair and then the lady charged me for two (2) coffees. Wanting to not be upset at first and support the locals in the area, I decided to keep the two coffees and pay them. I also gave them some tip, having in mind that they don't serve you in the table. This was a to go order. The first sip of coffee tasted burnt. Worst iced coffee I have ever had in my life. When I went to the girl to tell her, she did not even offer to change it. The sweet eclair was not fresh... you usually know this because these products are not hard but soft to the bite and even the filling was fermented. It is sad that such a nice place has such low quality, from customer service to the products they sell.

    Quiche Lorraine, creme brûlée, latte

Stopped by a drizzly day. Ordered the quiche Lorraine, creme brûlée and a latte. I was surprised to see them warm up my quiche in the microwave - was hoping for a more professional oven warming up I guess. The did a nice job caramelizing the top of the creme brûlée. It was very delicious. Quiche was good too. The latte was ok, dark espresso. Friendly staff. Not the best seating area to get work done but works for a quick visit.

Amazing bakery in New Haven Ave in downtown Melbourne. They have a tons of option to choose for breakfast or desserts. Went there in the evening to grab some baked goods. Got some baguettes for next morning along with some pastries to eat right away. The baguettes were fresh and delicious, we almost finish one on the walk back to our stay. For the pastries, we got some small meringues and an almond tart which were tasty. Overall, great bakery for fresh pastries and bread. Will definitely come back to grab more baguettes.

@jacquelines.bakery in Melbourne FL, the first thing that catches your eye is the mural of the Eiffel Tower herself to your right, and an accredited French pastry chef making magic to your left! Beyond that, you are greeted by case after case of exquisitely crafted French inspired desserts, as well as, freshly made ice cream. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we didn't feel rushed in our decision making...if anything we had quite the time coming to a decision SO. MANY. OPTIONS. Featured is their French Macaron with the following flavors, Mint Chocolate Chip, Raspberry, and Mangosteen AND Cremé Brûlée to share with a freshly flamed sugar topping I mean perfection! We'll definitely be back soon! Check out my page @favefoodiefinds on Instagram

    Whit's Frozen Custard - Melbourne

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.

The staff were very helpful in explaining options and toppings. The store is extremely clean…read more Several to go flavors. Great little spot in Downtown Melbourne.

Well, I came specifically for the toasted coconut and thought to ask for a taste just to remember how great it was. When she gave me the taste, I saw the brown and asked her. Is there chocolate in this? And she said yes. There is no chocolate in the toasted coconut dairy free ice cream. I've had this before at the Coco and no, there's no chocolate so that was weird. Can't get that. Then I asked for a soft serve vanilla twisty cone with a cherry dip. But guess what? Our dip maker is not working. No dip. So my husband got a shake. he asked for a strawberry malt shake with whipped cream. I decided on a ice cream scoop that they had but I wanted a child's cup because I have to be careful of my sweets. She said she has a small but not a child's cup and I said I really preferred a child's cup and she said she would charge me for a small but be happy to give me a child's cup. She did this. She gave my husband his shake. They were out of malt and oh by the way, I didn't realize this, but we're also out of whipped cream! Literally, they are out of everything. On a Friday night in May a great beach day, we were the only ones there! Although I do recommend the one in Cocoa, I cannot recommend this one.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more As I continue to search for amazing breakfast/brunch restaurants within the Space Coast, this restaurant was recommended to me by, believe it or not, the Yelp algorithm itself. I already hit up the majority of breakfast/brunch restaurants recommended by my fellow elites, why not see what the mathematical mind within the app has to say, right? It is not like it is AI right? Along with my adventuring sidekick Paula, we went to Around the World Cafe Bakery (which I will shorthand simply to Around the World for the remainder of this review), in hopes of trying different kinds of food from... well... around the world. It is in the name right? Now I get a place with such a name won't have ALL the food from around the food, but they do have a fantastic selection from many countries around the world, specifically Europe. Let me tell you, this was such an experience, it may actually get one of my rare "five star ratings on the initial visit" reviews. What am I saying, of course Around the World is getting such a rating. Let me give you deets why. For starters, Around the World is located in a dinky strip mall on the southside of US-192. There is parking on that road itself, but it is parallel parking heading eastward. There more parking in the "back of the store" accessible through 6th Ave. The ambiance and seating definitely has this European feel to it. Take note of the eastern shelf featuring numerous knick-knacks from around the world, specifcally Europe. Almost all of them are for sale, too. As for the food, it too has a worldly, specifically European flair. Some of their delectable wares include both omelettes and crepes cooked with the ingredients of a specific country in mind. For example, the Greek omelette has spinach, feta, mozerella, and tomato. The Norwegian crepe has smoked wild salmon, yogurt dressing, green onion, and cucumber. Let's not forget the bakery that includes French macaroons, Napoleon cakes, stuffed French toast, and much more. All this food is made even better by the fair market prices around $15 average per item, the family-feel the mom n' pop restaurant provides (as I think it is family-owned, too), and the fact the owner/head chef, Iggy Miro, will sometimes play romantic guitar for his guests. On a sidenote, there is only one unisex restroom. I can see it becoming dirty given how busy it gets, but that is more situational given it is only one. Ultimately, this initial visit was so good, it surpassed everything I expected. Usually I would give an initial visit that is good just four stars, but with all the extra I did not expect for such a place, they definitely make an impact for me to go all the way on the rating. I will definitely be back to eat more of their wares, especially the sweets in the bakery case.
