Hired Jacoby Plumbing in Oct 2019 and agreed to a 2-3 day job to replace all old copper lines, old corroded valves etc etc, an entire house overhaul and update. 5 months later , no paperwork after many times asked for in writing, dozens of confirmed appointments no showed for, money collected upfront using sob stories, infamous pictures sent to me, my fathers tools continuously borrowed by his guys who kept forgetting theirs (and my deceased father's tools stolen , police report filed) fake appointments with subcontractors who knew nothing about my home or appointment set, no showed for....the State Police became involved when Adam broke into my guest house where my 71 year old mother lives and stole my fathers tools
His guys had been using, and removed all the remaining pipes and pieces still not yet used. My mother almost shot him as it was early morning, and he forced his way in through a basement door. He used a credit card to do this same thing to my neighbors house to get through her door.
Long story short, I am sitting on over $70,000 in damages because it turned out the few times he and his guys did show, they just shark bit new pex lines and left the old copper that was visibly patched and corroded in place where it was harder to reach. By estimate they only replaced about 40% of the old copper. He did not replace a leaking bell piece of a sewer pipe above my kitchen nor a corroded toilet shut off valve but claimed he did prior to sealing the floor back up.
My kitchen and dining room were destroyed by sewer water , the valve leak, and the water mains leaking down through. He also cut lines to my steam furnace and left me without heat around Christmas 2019 failing to show as promised to hook it back up. I used kerosene to stay warm. He later hooked the steam furnace back up and for whatever reason filled the steam system, radiators and lines with water. He blew my system and corroded the radiators. Replacement cost $12,000. I now use a pellet stove.
He "installed" the water treatment system in October 2019 but a plumbing inspection found it was not even plugged in nor piped in on March 2020. Yet he stood in front of the system and told me it was hooked up and running. The one thing he did do was pipe a line from it into my septic main which is a huge no no as it can contaminate my entire water source....
He bragged about his charity work and admitted to using the money he collects upfront from customers then no shows on, for those things to then use for social media recognition.
When I posted a negative review on Facebook his response was borderline pornographic descriptions of events that did not happen and accusation of my mother and I, although 337 screen shots of our conversations show a whole different story. It's what he does to shut women up who speak out. He never addressed the no shows, the no paperwork or contract, the wanting paid in full upfront, he just uses trash talk and filth to deflect on his NOT TO CODE, unfinished , hack job work.
According to the AG, he let his license and insurance lapse and this was confirmed by his current insurance carrier, Nationwide. Although he was advertising himself as licensed and insured.
There are pending suits against him for these exact issues down to other women and one suit that has been won currently, along with insurance claims.
I have an entire photo album documenting the horrible work done and not done and the damages I and my mother, suffered.
I have a binder of the 337 pages of screen shot conversation supporting all of this including his well known for sending, pictures of....
As a disabled veteran I lucked out in that Wounded Warrior / Operation Homefront and a whole slew of local companies stepped up to save my house. My personal home owners insurance would not cover any of this saying it was contractor negligence and up to me to file
suit.
You can find the suits filed on the UJS portal under organization name and find the attorney who is getting to know Jacoby's work ethic well. You can file with the AG, the BBB and his insurance if he has done this to you as well.
His social media rep and fake reviews were bought and paid for with local
Women's money he grabbed and ran with.
His latest explanation of what happened here Is that I have a damp basement and this was all caused by my basement that's I kept at 45% humidity by a dehumidifier.
Avoid Jacoby Plumbing.
