If you blink, you miss it. DO NOT BLINK!!! If you are in the area, or even a few miles away, you have to try this place. I got the ice white mocha and it was as amazing, sweet but not overpowering or fake tasting and you can taste the amazing coffee (and you can see how much care it's brewed with) they use. Hi! My friend told me I was in for a very pleasant surprise! I was going to get the absolute best Hot Dog in the most laid back place ever. And he was right! It is just a small little "house" with the most amazing owner. He is so sweet, accommodating, pleasant and made us feel like we were sitting in his kitchen at home, as his private guests. He made us an espresso while he custom made our special hot dog. It had so many things on it, that I was at first sceptical about it . After that first bite, I was hooked. Please visit this unassuming corner of heaven. And spread the word. It's kind of hidden away... but I like to say it is a hidden jewel! What a gem! This tiny drive through has friendly service and amazing hot dogs. The hot dogs were so fresh and tasty we got them fully loaded and wow just so good. The coffee was hot and fresh and I'm a coffee snob so trust its good. They have cute little picnic tables where you can sit outside too. We will for sure be coming back. read more

Let me start off by saying although I am an avid supporter of small businesses, I don't typically venture outside of my normal routine when it comes to coffee. I visited this business three separate times before writing this review, and my experience was consistent every single time. I decided to try Jacob's Java because it is close to my job and I was attracted by the drive-thru option. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only is it a small business, it is a black owned business. Businesses owned by POC have struggled greatly during this current economic climate so I'm always happy to see these businesses thriving. Nonetheless, back to the review! The prices are comparable to your average gourmet coffee shop, but that's where the similarities stop. Jacob consistently provided exemplary customer service, good conversation, and a latte that tasted like love in a cup! He also has tea and smoothies available, but I haven't tried those yet. If the latte is any indication of the overall beverage quality though, I'm sure those will be equally as amazing. Jacob is from Chicago, so in addition to his beverage options, he serves Chicago style hotdogs and sandwiches for lunch, which is nice for us all day coffee and tea drinkers. He also has a very inviting patio seating area, that looks like it would be a great place to relax and unwind once the weather starts to warm up. Like many of the other reviews, I stopped in while I was driving by and I'm SO GLAD that I did. I got the vanilla iced latte and it was sooooo good. I grabbed a Chicago dog too and it was delicious! I'm new to the area and I am unashamedly a polish dog addict. There are a few other places within an hour of here that sell the specific Vienna brand polish dogs that Jacobs has, and the other places do ok (3-4 stars depending on the day) but Jacobs totally nails it ever time I have been. It's all about the prep, and they do it perfect here. The dog is served pipping hot, and it has a great snap when you bite into it- so not overcooked, as so many dogs you get. Then the poppy seed bun is warmed and actually hot to the touch- but not soggy or dry, as is usually the case when a bun has to get warmed fast. They also have a nice selection of toppings, I only get raw onion and mustard because that's my preference and honestly it's makes a perfect polish dog. My only complaint is it's not closer. Owner is SUPER friendly and courteous! Passed through today as it was the only convenient cafe/shop in the area that was open before 10. I got the mango peach smoothie and my husband got the vanilla flavored iced expresso coffee. Both super flavorful! I have to add that my smoothie didn't even have any sugar in it. As a native Chicagoan, when I see the Vienna Beef sign, my eyes perk up. I went here after reading positive reviews on Nextdoor...I was not disappointed. I ordered 4 Chicago style hotdogs and Marq knows what he is doing! His service was exceptional! I was in no rush but he remained cognizant of my time. He wanted to make sure my order was done right the first time, and as he stated "first impressions are important!" Super friendly service! The coffee was also 10/10, had the caramel iced latte, and it had the perfect taste--not too sweet, not too bitter. My boyfriend had the dark chocolate mocha which tasted like chocolate cake in coffee form. We also got a coupon for free/half off coffee or smoothie depending on the size.
