Aisha cleaned and checked Mom's hearing aids. So far it wasn't improving her hearing enough. To our surprise, Dr. Stacey Cole came out and greeted my mom with a hug even though it had been a couple of years since Mom had been there. She took a quick look inside her ears and determined that she had a big problem with wax. With her next appt minutes away, Dr. Cole whisked Mom to her treatment room and took care of her. Mom can hear! We truly met an angel today and are so grateful for the kindness shown to us by Dr. Cole and Aisha at Bowie Hearing Professionals. P.S. I was then told I was not scheduled for the correct test and that when I am tested I have to have a driver, wear no makeup, eat a light meal and it takes at least 60 minutes. My internest recommended Audiology Associates, specifically Dr. Melissa Segev. Her reputation was stellar from a number of physicians that I interviewed in the Annapolis community, as well as several hearing aide users. I knew that I was in very capable care from the hearing test on. Two PhD audiologists supervised the 50+ minute exam, and carefully related the degree of deterioration in each ear. Dr. Segev then fitted me with the latest technology, yet not the most expensive. In my case "good" was actually great! Dr. Segev and her staff embody what a patient needs when making an investment in technology....she and her associates are knowledgable, competent, caring and easy to work with. Pardon the pun, but they "listen". After the initial purchase Dr. Segev made several adjustments as the brain has become sensitized to frequencies that it has not heard for years. Last Saturday my wife and I attended the Symphony, and for the first time in 50+ years I was able to hear each instrument, high and low pitch, clearly and with "round sound". Technology and Dr. Segev have restored what was taken from year when I was just 17 years old...my family and I both thank you!

I booked this appointment over a month in advance on October 10th. Unfortunately, I just had the worst experience at Hearing Healthcare Services. When I arrived, the doctor told me they do not accept Cigna. I made it very clear to the receptionist when scheduling that I had Cigna, so I don't understand why the appointment was booked in the first place or why I waited a full month only to be turned away at the door. To make matters worse, I was then told that their computer system had crashed, so they couldn't even perform a hearing test. If that was the case, the receptionist should have reached out to notify patients instead of having us drive all the way there for nothing. This entire situation showed a complete lack of respect for people's time--especially for someone already dealing with hearing loss and looking forward to receiving proper care. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience.

Started visiting area Audiologists for my new hearing aids I've worn aids for over 20 years and know what I want and what to expect to pay. Shopping was so frustrating. Seemed most just wanted to sell you something and send you away. One had 4 brands that met my minimal requirements, but charged the exact same price for any of them! Finally stopped in Kaplan Hearing Center (now DBA HearUSA). The Audiologist Ms Miller listened to what I wanted and asked the right questions. I had my current hearing graph so no testing was required. She could see what I needed. She went down the list of brands they carried and unfortunately the only one that met my requirements was the same brand I has just returned. She really wanted to help me, so asked if I would reveal where I got the ones that failed. I told her and she said "let me check something". She called the support line and discussed with a tech for quit a while and found the warehouse I got the bad ones from are a lesser quality with less features, and were an older model. With her very professional treatment and I would have 6 months to try it, I decided to try it again. She placed the order and in a week I went back for the fitting. The aids had 3 program functions setup by the Audiologist and unlimited programs I could create myself. She set the 3 programs as I requested and showed me how to use all the functions from my Cell. It was a very satisfactory experience and I'd highly recommend them. A year later and I still love the aid. It pairs with my cell, laptop and car radio. OH! And I get free batteries for life.
