Without a doubt THE least professional outfit of know-nothing idiots and hack morons to ever grace tree work in ALL of Ohio. TWICE I set up an appointment to have them come to the house. Twice I waited 5+ hours, most of a day, a day I had to take off work. Twice I was stood up. The first time I was told they would be here between 8am and 2pm. I finally had to leave to try to at least SHOW UP for work for an hour. I called them and they told me "Our guy came by and left an estimate". No. No he most certainly did not. Our dog goes crazy when anyone is even NEAR our property. Fine, mistakes happen, I suppose. Maybe they went to our street WEST and not our street EAST.
So I set up another appointment, giving them explicit instructions to call TWO phone numbers, and that I would be out waiting, and to RING THE DOORBELL. Even if the phone service dropped for all of the eastern seaboard, they should be SURE and ring the doorbell (setting the dog off). "No problem" I was told by their Office Lady. "I'll be sure and tell them". A week later (Because they only do estimates ONE DAY per week) I wait again, from 8am to 1pm. And again, no one shows up. I call at 1:30pm (this time I'm pretty steamed). Again, it goes to voice mail (did I mention NO ONE EVER answers their phone? You will play phone tag with these fools for your entire experience. If they return a phone call within 48 hours, consider that a HUGE success). I get a call back half an hour later, "Did you wanna talk about the estimate? Oh, yeah, we were there at 8am this morning. I knocked and waited for about 5 minutes. No one came down, so I left the estimate". Yeah, that's because you HAVE TO RING THE DOORBELL AND CALL ME ON THE PHONE, like I told your office staff, so I wouldn't be wasting ANOTHER day waiting on you!
For starters, NO WAY am I having tree work done without both the tree worker and ME discussing things first, in person, in front of the tree. I'm not coming home 3 hours later to find out you took the whole tree done. Or took down the WRONG tree. And with SAUER tree service, considering just how confused they are, and how incapable they are of communicating, or even SHOWING UP, I would say them taking down the wrong tree is a very real possibility.
Also, NO WAY did you come to the right address, NOTHING was left in the door or mailbox. In short, this was without a doubt THE worst customer service experience I have had in 15 years of Columbus. NO ONE in this company communicates with anyone else. And btw: who does tree work by playing phone tag? That would be like going to get a haircut, telling them what you wanted, then going to sleep - "Wake me up when you're done!"
Here's some sound advice: DO NOT CALL SAUER TREE SERVICE! These fools will waste your time, day after day, and two weeks later, YOU'LL STILL need to find a professional capable of at LEAST showing up to the right address. Or answering a phone. BTW, Sauer: you cost me 11 hours of lost work waiting for your idiotic estimator. You owe ME $200.
Guess I'm never seeing THAT money, am I?
Or, don't tell me: You're on the way over RIGHT NOW!!! LOL!
