I keep the last star ;} I cannot review Davies Tree Service work, I can only review their customer service or lack there of. They did not show up for me. I called to make an appointment for an appraisal in the very beginning of March this year. I had to wait 2 weeks for the appraiser but when he came I explained to him the urgency of the matter. I have a large linden tree growing directly into one of my twin Blue Spruce trees in my front yard, which is slowly killing it and I needed the branches remove before the tree leaves out. I was told they were two weeks out on appointments and that it would be taken care of in plenty of time. Here it is April 17th and the tree has leaves! No one from Davey has been here yet, no one's called me to make an appointment! I've called the company 7 times, SEVEN, and have received two apologizes with promises of appointment and return calls with actual appointment date. James Herrick is the man whom was to set that up but I'm still calling. I called one last time this morning and had to leave a voicemail since no one was there to answer the phone. I asked for a supervisor to return my call but we shall see. Immediately hung up, called another tree service and got an appointment for tonight. Same day. I cannot recommend this company to anyone and as a small business owner here in Columbus, I am beyond disappointed in the lack of customer service and care.

Called to find out why- apparently was never placed on the calendar and old address still in the system. Rescheduled service and corrected address for 2nd time. An hour into my second appt window called to make sure I was still on the calendar for the day- still had wrong address . Tried to correct the service address for the third time and the woman would not let me talk to correct her on the address again, continuously speaking over me. Asked to speak to the manager who would not pick up the call. Cancelled the appt and will never use their service again.

They leave the yard cleaner than they found it and do exactly the job they are hired to do. They ended up calling me the day before our original scheduled day and came out and quickly removed 2 pine trees and 2 large shrubs. They had a fairly heavy duty stump grinder, which made quick work of the stumps and large roots. They also brought a large chipper and cleaned up all debris, including everything around the chipper. They brought a large bucket truck, but did not need it for my particular trees. It is nice to deal with a professional tree service, which has the necessary equipment and expertise to complete any tree work, unlike another so-called tree service, which left me a huge mess, when the city would not pick it up. I didn't realize until they were finishing up that Oliverio, the business owner was part of the crew, which completed all of the work. It was nice to see him lead his team by example. He ground up surface roots from 40+ year old trees, removed gravel and sod from a large area where people used to park beside the road. He then brought in soil to fill in the areas and planted grass seed. He planted some shrubs then mulched the entire area. He moved some very large boulders. He worked very hard and I am pleased. The price was very reasonable and he honored his quote even though it took more sod and mulch then he anticipated.

My initial call for an estimate was easy, and scheduling was very organized and easy. The estimator showed up on time and gave several options on the quote, and provided a business card in the event of questions. After signing the invoice, my removal was scheduled. I received several reminder notifications and the crew arrived on time. The removal was very professional and they had all of the equipment to keep it safe and efficient. The entire tree was removed hours ahead of the estimated time, and this crew did an incredible job with cleanup. There was not so much as a twig left in my yard on completion. This company is really outstanding in their focus on the customer and the professional manner in which they operate.
