Was recommended this for a quick bite before my train. I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with Grilled Chicken. Wish the ingredients could have been more evenly distributed: one half of the wrap was mainly croutons and cheese whereas the other was mostly chicken. On our way back home to Philadelphia, we had to catch Amtrak from Penn Station, so we wanted to grab something quick for dinner. My daughter came back with a bag from Jacob's Pickles, and when I tell you... it was EVERYTHING! We had their chicken on a biscuit, and it was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. From now on, anytime I'm traveling through JFK and heading to Penn Station around dinnertime, Jacob's Pickles is definitely my go-to spot! Highly recommend!
Came here for an early dinner before I boarded my train. I got the honey chicken biscuit and plain macaroni and cheese. Service was quick. The macaroni and cheese was divine! I don't know how many cheeses and what cheeses were used, but it was so good. The portion is also quite large. I could not eat it all in one sitting. I ordered the honey chicken biscuit sandwich. That however, was a bit of a disappointment. The biscuit was crumbled in the plate container, so there was no way that I could possibly eat it as a sandwich. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. The biscuit was kind of dry, and the chicken left more to be desired. However, I will definitely come back and get more of their macaroni and cheese and try their other combinations.

They are known for the pickles, but I have a new found love for that Caesar wrap. Fried chicken pieces enrobed in a fresh flour wrap with romaine lettuce and copious amounts of Caesar dressing (if you want extra to/go, just ask). When I tell you one split in half is MORE than enough for two, it really is. The service is good, never a long wait time even though the wraps are prepared as you order. The ambiance is what you would expect in a food train hall, fast-paced. All in all, every time I take the train to NYC, I'm grabbing one either coming or going.
Jacob's Pickles never misses. Everything we had was great hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a comfort food spot. The standout for me was the bacon steak. It was rich, perfectly cooked, and honestly unforgettable. Service was good, friendly, efficient, and kept the vibe relaxed even when it got busy. It's the kind of place you go when you want big flavors and a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Definitely a go-to for comfort food cravings. Would absolutely come back.
Jacob's Pickles is a different choice for the Madison Square Garden area. If you are debating on whether to try them in Moynihan Hall while waiting for your train. My suggestion is to give them a try, Jacob's Pickles has been hyped as the go-to spot for hearty southern comfort food. The vibe is cozy and bustling. If the NY Knicks or Rangers at playing at the Garden the game will be aired on the gigantic screen. Weekdays during happy hour, a live DJ' is on hand courtesy of the Irish Bar with a fun, lively atmosphere! Great spot to get a quick bite to eat, people watch, had not eaten all day, my Cousin wanted to try Jacob's Pickles chicken wrap, she said it was tasty, no complaints. The standout item everyone raves about is the Honey Chicken & Pickles biscuit sandwich. Which i ordered. The honey chicken was okay, I took away a star because there was "no pickle" whatsoever with my sandwich. It was no big deal, I love pickles. Just shrugged it off. The portions are very large, could only eat half of my sandwich. The spicy mayo comes on the side, and it is super spicy. It was too spicy for me. Overall, the service was fantastic. This is counter service. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, which is an added plus. The value is fantastic given the massive portion sizes, and the core dishes are executed perfectly. The best chicken Caesar wrap in the city might just be tucked away in the train station! One of the best Caesar wraps I've ever had!!! At $13 this one's hard to beat. Huge, flavorful, and all the right textures! The crispy cutlet is goated it's $24 at the upper west side location so imma rock it to penn station every time for this one! It's in the food hall with plenty of seating if your coming or a very quick to go process if you're heading to the train!
Jacob's pickles is always a hit and this was our first time going to their new location. Great upgrade with the new space. Food was good except the eggs. The eggs used seemed like they were processed or box eggs not regular eggs and definitely not how they use to make the eggs. Should have checked in with the waitress about it because was off putting but everything else was a hit.
The food here is fast and delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The chicken is super flavorful, the biscuits are light and fluffy, and the sausage gravy is amazing. The Nashville hot chicken is definitely not for the weak! I stop by whenever I'm in Moynihan Station, and it never disappoints.
This chicken caesar wrap is GARGANTUAN. Like so insanely massive I was scared to go in on it but wow was this one good wrap. The chicken especially stays so crispy even after taking it to go and not eating it until like 20 mins later. The line / wait here was insane though and I kinda felt bad for the workers because there were not enough on duty for how many orders were coming through during peak lunch time.

So, I definitely had a little wait somewhere between 3-5 minutes. I wound up with the chicken on a biscuit with a sausage brown gravy. Everything was delicious but do not think that this is in any way hand-holdable. Fork and knife were required. It is a large chicken breast surrounded by a very large and heavy biscuit. Even the small order of fries was ample for two people. They do not skimp on the portions here. They hit the nail on the head with the crispy chicken, tasty gravy and a delicious biscuit. Jacob's Pickles- Beer, Biscuits, Pickles. In the new Moynihan train station- Food Hall @ W 33rd St / 9th Ave behind Irish Exit bar. A twist of Southern Comfort dining bbq fried chicken w/ melted cheese smothered over a bed of brioche bread or cornbread. I got the bbq chicken w/ jack cheese & it was sooo tasty. Sooo many other choices too. Stop by & dine in or do take out. Friendly, staff & quick service. I recommend it.
This cool eatery is located in Moynihan Train Station's Food Court in NYC. I had the honey chicken biscuit with pickles. DELICIOUS!!!! The flavorful biscuit has the appearance of corn bread golden brown and square cut, but when I bit into it , it was soft and buttery. The fried chicken breast was very well seasoned with the right amount of sweetness from the honey. Golden brown that was crunchy outside and moist inside. Just the perfect chicken sandwich. Last but not least the "Homemade Pickles". The pickles have a little heat, but not too much, just a crunchy delicious pickle. If you're in NYC, and EVEN if you're not taking Amtrak, stop in the Moynihan Train for a little taste of the South in New York City.
On a recent trip to New York, I stopped by Jacob's Pickles inside Moynihan Train Hall before catching my train. I ordered the Egg and Cheese Biscuit with two fried eggs, and aged Vermont cheddar. I actually bought TWO, thinking I was going to eat both. That definitely didn't happen. LOL Those biscuits are HUGE! One was more than enough. The biscuit was soft, buttery, and delicious, and the eggs and cheddar made for a simple; however, very satisfying breakfast. Customer service was good as well. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, and my order came out without any issues. Overall, a solid experience and a great option if you're traveling through Moynihan and want something hearty and filling. I'd definitely stop by again on another trip to NYC. read more
these people are not lying when they say that the portions are humongous! Half of my family got lunch portions, which were $19 by the way, and still struggled to finish the lunch portions. Insanely amazing deal at $19 especially becomes it comes with a side of fries and a bowl of soup. Great atmosphere as well. The restaurant has bar feeding indoor seating and the best part was the outdoor seating because they just opened up all the windows and you are able to see while you're eating. Food was delicious. I literally have no complaints about this place. read more

This place is in a really nice food court inside of Moynihan Train Station This chicken biscuit was huge! Enough for two people. Unfortunately my sister doesn't eat meat so I tried to devour this on my own. Fail. There were so many pickles on the biscuit. Next time, yes there will be a next time, I'll ask for less. The fries were really good. Service was fast. The food area for sitting was clean but crowded with folks coming and going from the train. Omg the popcorn icecream with salt on it was delisosourusrex. I like the vegan pickle icecream too. Both creamy. The bag of biscuits with maple butter was like homemade. The fried pickles were perfect. Best I ever had. The tangy spicy mayo perfect. Great combo. The crispy caesar salad wrap and salad may have been the best ever. This is my second time here and it didn't disappoint. The breaded chicken is exceptional. It is seasoned very well, is crispy, flavorful and delicious. The biscuits are always just amazing...soft, buttery and fluffy. The service is great and the food selections and portions are extremely generous. The mac n cheese was phenomenal. It's extra cheesy with a nice béchamel sauce that I'm sure has some sour cream in it because there's a delightfully tangy taste with every bite. I made a special trip here while visiting Jersey for work and Jacob's Pickles made it worth the train ride. Sorry, I ate the food before taking a pic....again. read more

I got the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and fried pickle spears. The pickle spears were unique. I think it was cornmeal coated and it tasted good but fried pickle slices will always be better imo. Nestled in the back corner of Moynihan Hall, Jacob's Pickles offers an escape to the South with their takes on comfort foods. Many go for the Chicken Cesar Salad Wrap but to me, their Biscuits and Gravy is the true star of the eatery. Rich and sausage forward peppery gravy atop buttery warm biscuits (add chicken if you're really hungry) reminds me of every trip down South indulging in comfort foods. TLDR: The Nashville Hot Chicken Caesar Salad. I'm sure the sandwiches and plates are good too, I've been eating at Jacob's Pickles for a long time at the UWS location. I recently had the Nashville Hot Chicken Caesar and yeah - I'm down with it. It's a massive plank of fried chicken, tossed in the hot sauce. The chicken is brined well, the breading is just right. The greens are crispy and refreshing, the cheesy croutons are tasty. I'm not sure how "light" this is but it's definitely very flavorful. So if you're around the Moynihan area and want something tasty, filling and you'll psychologically think you're eating clean - you're welcome. read more

Waiting for my train and decided to try their Nashville hot chicken loaded fries. Totally shocked how oily it was. It was already dripping with oil when I took it out of the bag. Idea is great but execution is off. I don't think anyone needs that many oil on top of their fries or in this case soaking my fries. I tried to show in one of the pictures how much oil is at the bottom covering the fries. read more

They messed up our order initially but were very apologetic and fixed it asap. Portion sizes are quite large, so you get your money's worth. Poutine is delicious, and takes 3 or more people to eat. read more

Jacob's Pickles continues the Moynihan trend of reheating old food and serving it for 4x the cost. It tastes as if the food is cooked early and shipped in to be microwaved in house. The chicken was hard and dry. The biscuit was dry and crumbly. The sauce was not Nashville style. The saving grace was that the pickles were actually tasty, but you can't just dump tasty pickles on bad food and expect it to save the day. Like other places here, they act like they were forced to provide a breakfast option. The "Brunchwrap supreme" is not anything similar to the taco bell equivalent. You get a commercial tortilla wrapped around unseasoned eggs, potatoes, cheese, and bacon. You will quickly get bored of this within 2 bites. Maybe the real Jacob's Pickles is tasty, but this location is a trap to capture travelers. read more
Located in the Moynihan Train Food Hall. I wanted to like this, I really did. Grabbed a beer at the counter of the Irish Exit, ordered, and they happily delivered over to us, that was nice and simple. Plenty of napkins and serving - nice container. The fried chicken sandwich with pickles- lots of pickles, a lot, a little spicy, and a lot of peppercorn, so that was ok; eat or set aside fast, because they make the chicken under soggy. The chicken was ok; a reasonable sized piece, breaded and deep fried, but lacking much in the way of spices and flavor. Just.. bland. And the breading, too thick and not so tasty. The biscuit bread was good - a little honey syrup sweetness and counterbalance to the pickles. That carried to the skin-on fries, which were ok, a bit overcooked, good size, but again, lacked much flavor. The fried pickles - spears instead of slices, they were soggy inside and the outside batter was far too thick. Had much better elsewhere. read more

Stopped by Moynihan Food Hall, after craving the soft serve at Jacob's Pickles. I was specifically craving the pickle and popcorn swirl soft serve, but Jacob's didn't have the pickle flavor. :-( Instead, I purchased the popcorn and it was VERY GOOD! First off, the item is only $6.00. Secondly, if you're going to indulge, I suggest bringing a friend. My cup had a large helping of the popcorn soft serve and the portion completely satisfied both of us. The attendant suggested adding a topping of sea salt and boy did that elevate the experience. The sweet and salty danced in your mouth and I cannot wait to return, in order to finally enjoy the pickle flavor. I highly recommend Jacob's Pickles and call ahead, because the pickle flavor is popular and sells out, quickly. read more

I really enjoy going to the Jacob's Pickles location on the UWS so decided to try this one out. The service was quick and the food was exactly what I was looking for! I ordered the honey chicken and pickles with a side of mac & cheese. The chicken was crisp, the biscuit was soft and the pickles were flavourful. The mac & cheese was super cheesy. The portions were large and definitely a good deal for the price paid. I will be returning soon! read more

I'm a big Mac and cheese fan so I got the classic mac and cheese and the fried pickle spears. The mac was hot, creamy, cheesy, and rich with a nice baked top. I was very impressed. The pickles had a good batter on them and came with a spicy mayo. The flavor was good and they were crispy and hot but i felt like there was too much batter to pickle ratio. The end were mostly batter and it wasn't sticking well to the pickle so there was a lot of air inside between the pickle and batter. The service was friendly and quick and there is a good amount of seating in the food hall. I would definition Definitely try since of their other items next time. read more

Sandwiches now $12 for single, and $15 for double the chicken. Tried the BBQ pepperjack chicken sandwich. I don't normally pick BBQ sauce esp if smothered on food but I didn't mind this. At first look, I thought it was pasta sauce; on the sweet side and some saltiness from the cheese. I still like the gravy smothered more though. This time, there was no extra charge for asking for sauce/gravy in the side. Just better for me to add as little or as much as I want. These are sandwiches eaten with a knife and fork. Still addtl. $7 for combo with the very cheesy classic mac n cheese. And still addtl. $5 if with fries. There's a pickle and/or popcorn ice cream but we were too full. Clean restrooms available on both sides of the food court. Weak or no cell signal for me when there. read more
