My wife and I shared plates of the Fresco and Carolina-ah tacos. The Carolina-ahs features some crisp coleslaw relish and chopped pickles on lightly smoked pulled pork. A little dry without the sauce, but fine once I got it slopped. The Frescos had pico de gallo and avocado creamy, and came pre-sauced. Easily the winner of the two--crema+sauce+smoky pig=return visit (perhaps to try the Fresco with smoky chicken). We split a side (small cup) of the crisp, tangy coleslaw and wished we'd gotten two. I would say the taco/meat proportion was a bit off. The meat sat low in a large soft tortilla, and good as it was, would have been better less freighted with dough. But, I can always scoop the filling from one taco into the other two on the plate. Like I said, we're going back.

If you spend a few minutes chatting and see them at another event, expect that they'll remember you, that's the kind of people they are. Don't leave without trying their bread pudding. So far, it's the star. You could probably share it, there's enough and it's pretty rich. You either be full or sweeten out by the end. It's served nice and warm, perfect on a chilly fall day. Yevette's location was only 5 minutes away from the restaurant we went to but it was unannouncingly closed, so we gave her a shot after seeing her 5-star reviews. Her trick was open, and her menu is very basic but we were pleasantly surprised with how good her food is. My wife got soft shell, I got hard shell and we loved her taco's and will be back. Options were beef, turkey, or collared greens vegetarian taco's. If you are in the mood for food truck taco's you will not be disappointed. I added just a touch of salt to mine but we both thought her meat was wonderfully seasoned, and her hard and soft home made shells were delicious. Try her! You won't be disappointed!

Usually parked curbside on Saginaw Street in front of Cafe Rhema or in the flat lot across the street, this local ice cream and coffee vendor on wheels is nothing short of delightful. They serve Ashby's ice cream and can make a good cup of joe while they're at it. They even threw a "Free Ice Cream Day" recently, handing out cones to everyone who stopped by at no charge. Cones are generous in size and the Ashby's ice cream is tasty to boot, featuring lots of flavors! Around for about two years now, the trolley is always out during Art Walk and other notable events downtown and seems to have finally found a more permanent location near the flat lot on S. Saginaw Street as of late, so it looks like the trolley has a definitive spot to call home these days. The trolley is usually open til around 7 p.m. or so, sometimes later if it's during Art Walk. Five years ago, something like an ice cream and coffee trolley (or any food truck, really) hitting the streets of Flint would have seemed unheard of, but fortunately, times have changed.

I'm updating my previous review because one of the owners, Christina, personally reached out to me after my initial experience. She invited me back to try a pickup order, and I am so impressed by a business owner who truly stands behind her product. My first experience via DoorDash was expensive and underwhelming, but this visit was a total 180! The Vibe & Service - the shop has a great "street" decor vibe with a heartwarming touch, lots of family photos on the wall. Huge shoutout to Brianna, who handled my follow-up visit with excellent customer service; she was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond! The Food & Value - everything was fast, fresh, and high-quality. I highly recommend the Tuesday Specials: 5 ground beef tacos for $10 or 3 barbacoa for $10. Tacos: Fried "Flint-style" with a perfect meat-to-shell ratio. The meat is NOT greasy (no dripping down your arm!), which is a huge plus. We season very aggressively at home, so for my personal taste, I think the meat could have used just a bit more seasoning, but I think they are likely playing it safe to satisfy the masses and rightfully so. Either way, they were still really good and I'd definitely eat them again! The Egg Rolls: They offer Flint-style and BBQ Chicken, but the Southwest Chicken Egg Roll was my favorite, super crunchy and spicy with nicely shredded chicken inside. The menu does not list ingredients or toppings so we ended up spending some picking stuff out of the shawarma. The fries were not properly drained after cooking and they forgot one of the orders of fries but after 30 minutes we were just ready to go. I hope these guys figure it out because right now this is a place to avoid.
