Notice all the positive reviews are non-students. Mixed bag of faculty. Some great, others not so. Overheard their Director of Nursing say that "she shouldn't be here" on my first day of class/lab. Thought that was highly unprofessional. Another professor for same class was overheard stating in front of students, that a cohort not professional. Back at you! I find them to be highly disorganized and dismissive of students. Overpriced for sure. The quality doesn't equal the pricetag. Seem to have no concept that their students are their customers. I am giving it 3 stars instead of two because there are some really good professors, but overall my experience so far has been less that pleasant. read more

We were here for a college tour. Very nice for a small university. We were given a relaxed tour by a sophomore student on a golf cart.

My sister n law graduated from JU. Now, my niece from North Carolina is attending school here to become an RN. I came here to see if I could treat her to a dinner. She was not here, she was at home on a school break. I like what JU stands for in the Arlington Community. They allow the Arlington Community have their monthly meetings here. They support our cause to make Arlington good again. My step brother used to be one of the Chefs here. He was happy working here. Great work JU! Keep up the good works. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. College gave me nothing but stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD and debt. Professors my freshman year and in the psych department were horrible and completely disrespectful. Caused so much divide in my family. This "school" is overpriced. Basically if you're not in the nursing program or business school, they don't give a damn about you. Don't go to college unless you wanna be a doctor or lawyer. Learn Entrepreneurship and build a future of your own. College = America's biggest pyramid scheme. read more

This is a decent school unless you are in Alex Gilbert's athletic department. He does not take ridiculing serious and allow coaches to belittle students. Not sure why Tim Cost allows him to remain on staff. Tim and Alex act like cowards and not available to students at all. read more

This was a good place to watch soccer, but if you have small children with you, be forewarned you can hear everything the players say. We were there to watch a soccer game between Jacksonville University and Detroit and there was a lot of bad language on the field that I wasn't up to explaining to my kids. Overall, the concessions are inexpensive, they didn't give me a hard time about bringing a drink in, the game was free, and there were places to watch both standing along the field and in the stands. The campus is very pretty and it was great to expose my children to college sports without having to pay anything for sure. This is a nice option if you want to see how your children do watching college sporting events, and always nice to be able to cheer on a local Jacksonville team. read more

I've only ever visited JU's campus for an event or football game. Can't say I have any real issues with the campus. 4 stars is simply for the outdated structure and confusion that awaits you when entering the campus... This recent check-in was for the 2015 mayoral debate & I must say - the auditorium/theatre was really nice. The stage itself was very nicely kept & the seating arrangement made for a great view of the stage from any area in the room. BUT, you can tell this is an old auditorium. The kind that was built back in the day where the stairs & aisles are extremely steep aka if you're a female in heels you need to hold on for dear life. Which I was in heels, so the set up of the steep stairs & extremely thin spacing between the rows was a distraction from being able to enjoy the experience. Parking: I don't get it. Being a student at Unf, where you have different lots, colors, emojis, etc... There was just a big lot here. It seems like general parking? It seems like you'd get a ticket? I literally have no idea. I dislike when an establishment leaves their visitor confused. There was a lack of organization for this event. People driving the wrong way, parking everywhere possible, walking a mile to the event area - just not well designed. There wasn't anyone on the campus who seemed to work for the university so it wasn't as if I could ask for clarification. read more

I went to JU to take graduation photos of my client, the campus is private so she had to let me in through security. The campus is so pretty! The small school surprised me with how dense in greenery it is. They also overlook the river, which made for some pretty shots! read more

This school needs to be updated, the dorm are the worst I've ever seen, This school is in the GHETTO (for real). The Frats all suck. There are 6 abandon 15 year old houses near the football field for no reason. the work is incredible easy, I barely made it through a semester,but overall I think this school is depressing, I transferred back to my old school and so did many of my friends read more

I'm biased because I work here. I think JU is very focused on student success. Small class sizes and personal attention. Students are given many opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Many JU grads have gone on to very successful careers and give that credit to our school. read more

I know this school from a longtime ago. I toured this school thinking of attending. But tonight I was here for a kind of a farwell by Mike Field from Jax truckies. The school was having a little concert on the water. They took out the golf course and put in a stage that looks out on the river. It made for a sweet sunset. read more

Was going to my Dad's college,F&M but it didn't go coed till the next year...so I had to pick a college-hey why not Florida for a year? OMG..when my parents drove onto the campus,my preppy Dad saw all of the surf board topped cars and just shook his head and of course, blamed my Mother!! Hysterical!! Well, now that I'm older and not YET gray,I can tell you that my year under the wonderful guide of Profs. Memphis Wood and Dr.Heavenrich was an absolute turn-around concerning my artistic future. It opened up the talent that was probably always there but certainly not realized. I hear the fine arts departments are still exceptional. At the age of 24,I became Design director for Sanyo-Seiko in NYC. What more can I say. read more

I went to JU many years ago - I still have very fond memories - the class sizes are small and the prof's know you. I went on to get a master's and Ph.D. - JU prep'd me for the rigors or grad school. I would highly recommend JU! read more
