The small class sizes, individual attention and no assigned homework has made a HUGE difference in our family life. On the rare occasion he doesn't finish his work at school because of a doctor/dentist appointment, he comes home & immediately completes his work. He NEVER cared about his schoolwork & homework was ALWAYS a struggle until he started at Center Academy at St. John's Bluff. I am so thankful to have options such as this school because some kids just don't do well at large public schools and need different accommodations that other schools can't offer. So then I'm like ok wow she didn't even ask what was wrong with me mainly the whole time I was down there she was being nasty to me. Not all teachers are bad some teachers treat certain students a certain way and it's very annoying. When it comes down to putting in grades some are very slow doing it. If the work is late that is a different story but I had a really good support team there after I lost a family member and they helped me get through the last few weeks of the school.

That's right, PVPV used to be K-6 all in one building. Very hard to believe. The students graduating this year (2014) have never known NE St. Johns County to not have more than one elementary school. If i was planning to raise little rugrats of my own, I would definitely find a way to live in this part of the county as I would want them to attend this school. I'm sure all the teachers I had have long since retired, but this school still has - and will probably keep - a great reputation. As someone that lives in the neighborhood, the only thing I could complain about would be the traffic in the mornings. But it's really not THAT bad and they've got it down to a science.

The teachers are excellent, the parents are highly involved, and the principal is very skilled at managing the school. She is also accommodating and open to making time to speak to parents. The very active PTO does so much each year to support the efforts of teachers and staff, and to raise additional support for the school.
