The school itself is spacious and pretty. Even though you know it is a school, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. The Teachers are great and I haven't met a parent, whose children attend, that doesn't gush and throw accolades their way! If you are looking for a great place to raise your elementary aged children, I would definitely look into the Alimicani neighborhoods.

That's right, PVPV used to be K-6 all in one building. Very hard to believe. The students graduating this year (2014) have never known NE St. Johns County to not have more than one elementary school. If i was planning to raise little rugrats of my own, I would definitely find a way to live in this part of the county as I would want them to attend this school. I'm sure all the teachers I had have long since retired, but this school still has - and will probably keep - a great reputation. As someone that lives in the neighborhood, the only thing I could complain about would be the traffic in the mornings. But it's really not THAT bad and they've got it down to a science.

The teachers are excellent, the parents are highly involved, and the principal is very skilled at managing the school. She is also accommodating and open to making time to speak to parents. The very active PTO does so much each year to support the efforts of teachers and staff, and to raise additional support for the school.

Every one seemed average, and just like the rest. When we got to the Red School House, and took a quick tour, we were instantly aware of some, "above and beyond", going on. In the class our little one was going to be in, there were two tables full of very attentive boys and girls doing actual school work! Instantly we knew this was the place. Come to find out we had several friends/ and clients that rave about the school. The entire experience can be summed up into an observation that I made during the Christmas sing along. The staff was very into the whole process. Ambitiously singing in front of several dozen parents and relatives takes a lot of posture, but imagine the dedication it took for them to teach all of those songs to the kids. Our little one has been singing Holiday songs all month long. But the thing that got me was one of the children came late. As he walked up, one of the teachers while in mid song called his name, gave him a quick hug, and said, "I love you", in a very genuine way, then went right back into it. THAT.... is the type of people I want my child around.

The small class sizes, individual attention and no assigned homework has made a HUGE difference in our family life. On the rare occasion he doesn't finish his work at school because of a doctor/dentist appointment, he comes home & immediately completes his work. He NEVER cared about his schoolwork & homework was ALWAYS a struggle until he started at Center Academy at St. John's Bluff. I am so thankful to have options such as this school because some kids just don't do well at large public schools and need different accommodations that other schools can't offer. Plus we have NEVER had a bullying issue or anything even close to that. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Center Academy if your child has unique needs.
