Once I walked in to my audition for The Prince of Egypt, my mouth fell to the floor, I was so impressed with the group of people I came across. The staff was so welcoming, including the incredible crew on this production. Now, that I am a part of the Royal Stage family, despite not being a Christian, I absolutely love this theatre company and they make quality productions. Since we love magic, and my husband is a skeptic and loves sleight of hand, I opted for the mixed package with a bit of sleight of hand and mentalism as well. It was the perfect show for a room full of adults and his energy and tricks were mind blowing. He kept us entertained the entire hour, and even shared some new tricks that he had been working on. We are still trying to figure out how he was able to fool us all - THAT CLOSE. Haha, needless to say, my husband has claimed this, his BEST birthday surprise yet. Kim's little homey cottage is located right next to the Sierra 2 Center in East Sacramento and there is street parking available. The class for my daughter's age group is on Tuesdays from 5-7pm with 1 hour being for singing/voice lessons and the other 1 hour being for dance lessons. There are 4 classes a month essentially for under $200. Kim was very professional and great with the kids! It was fun to see new and returning students in her class and to see who was comfortable and who was still coming out of their shell. My daughter had a great time at the trail class, but she currently does another activity on Tuesdays so the class for her age group isn't a good fit for us right now, but we hope to come back and join Kim's class in the future. Give them a call or visit if you or your kids are interested in Performing Arts - Kim has been around for 30+ years and you can tell how much she loves what she does!

The kids support and encourage one another, (despite age differences, and regardless of roles). For shows, they are paired up with buddies who can walk them through the process or send them encouraging notes, etc. they focus on character development, and how kids learn what I would consider to be important qualities, such as discipline, resilience, kindness, etc. Even the parents get to join in on the fun, as parent involvement/volunteering is required for shows. I've really enjoyed connecting with other theater moms and dads and working together on parent teams. I also like that parents are not involved in the classes. That means if your kid wants to do theater and you don't have the time to volunteer, you still have options for them. The teachers are passionate and highly capable. From what I've seen, they are immensely talented in their own fields. Each time one of my children takes a class, they definitely come away knowing more than they went in knowing, and it shows in their performances. Our oldest child has been involved with CYT over the past couple of years, and we have seen great growth in her singing and dance abilities, as well as her drive and work-ethic. We're definitely excited to introduce the siblings to CYT.

I was not able to book online thru my phone because the website was very confusing and I was not able to click on anything so Ana confirmed everything thru Instagram DMs. On the day of my bday, I showed up on time and waited for 20 min. Didn't see anyone in the studio. I messaged her on insta a couple of times as well as called the phone number. No response. Eventually the message shows it's been read.....After leaving, I got a missed call but I was busy driving so I couldn't pick up. Still at this point no voicemail. No response. I was very upset because it was a bday present I asked my bf to take me dancing. I bought a dress and spent my time getting dolled up just to stay outside waiting in the dark. It's very unfortunate this had happened because I love Ana's style of dance and was looking forward to it. All she could have done is reply back to me that she forgot or got the dates wrong.
