We needed a new trash collection provider desperately. Ever since Waste Management bought out our previous vendor, Ray's, our collection was non-existent. It was a struggle every week and there were many weeks we did not get either of our two dumpsters emptied. Promises were made and never fulfilled, even in trying to upgrade our service, they would not accommodate us. WM just wasn't interested in servicing our location and eventually I found out why. We shopped around and checked every other trash collection company in the Indianapolis metro area. It wasn't until I saw Jack's driving down our rural road close to Centerton regularly that I thought we might have found a company willing to work with us when many other companies were not. As it turned out, a neighboring business down the street had switched to them a few weeks prior to us beginning our service. We previously had a three yard dumpster and a two yard dumpster. We wanted one four yard dumpster and wanted it emptied once a week. Jack's accommodated us and has regularly emptied it each week now for a month. So far we are very happy with Jack's. Our brand new dumpster has four lids instead of the usual two or one. Four works much better and the price per month is cheaper than ALL of the other companies. It was a little bit of a struggle getting service started but after speaking with our driver I understand why. WM does not want rural business, therefore Jack's is picking up all the rural business they are leaving behind plus the customers leaving WM, so they are busier than usual but are able to make the necessary adjustments to service their existing customers as well as bring on new ones. We never had a problem with Ray's until WM bought them out. We had the same guys every week. Now with Jack's, it is the same thing again, with the same guys each week. That says a lot about the company. It means their employees are being paid well enough to stay and Jack's hired good people so that don't call off work too much. Plus it is a local company, not some corporate conglomerate that is only interested in the big contracts. They have broken our new trash can and tried to hide it. I have left 2 messages in the last week asking for someone to call me about this issue and no one will answer the phone, let alone return calls. Rude. About time to look for other options. I went with a small, local company to get customer service, not have my new trash can destroyed and be ignored. read more

We've used Jack's trash in the last six months & have always had our trash picked up on time with great communication. Before we tried WM/ Ray's & Trash Bandits with a lot of headaches so we're thankful that we've had a good experience with Jack's. We were able to get started right away. Only downside is they don't have recycling available. read more

Just moved to Indiana and looked for any trash service other than Waste Management (just terrible, even in TN). I was happy that Jack's serviced my area and provided a discount since I had my own tote bin. Olivia in the office was great to deal with, and service went off without a hitch, even though my bin is not marked (I did stick on a piece of tape with JACK'S written on it just in case). We originally had Ray's Trash as our trash service. I guess we never appreciated what a good job they did because once they sold out to Waste Management, we were less than happy. Ray's would always pick up extra trash we had outside the trash can, and I don't ever remember having any issues with trash left in the street, or our trash can thrown all over the place, etc. Once WM took over, they started out picking up any extra trash we put out. But suddenly one day they didn't. When we inquired with the truck driver, she said it had to all fit in the can and the lid had to be down. This was never told to us once they made the change. Also, they leave trash along the route, and they just throw the trash can wherever they choose. We sometimes had to get out of our car to move it so we could get in the driveway. One day in particular, there was one truck picking up late in the evening, and a second truck appeared to help out. That particular day, there were pools of liquids all up and down our street, and several places where broken glass had spilled out. And one of the trucks was leaking oil all up and down the street, and I don't mean just a drip or two here and there. I wondered how that truck made it back to WM because they surely didn't have any oil left. We finally noticed a couple of our neighbors using Jack's Trash Service. So we gave them a call and switched over. It doesn't save us any money, but they arrived on the start date they gave us, and they have come consistently after that, and we haven't had any issues like we were having with WM. There were more issues when we tried to cancel WM's service, but I won't go into all of that. They are just a big conglomerate that wants to use their trucks to pick up trash quickly in a large neighborhood and never get out of their truck. That way they can get through more customers more quickly and make more money without caring about what the customer's needs might be. And if you don't like it, that's too bad. If you are looking for another company to pick up your trash, I suggest Jack's Trash Service. We have been very pleased with their service. And I understand some people right now are having issues with pickup, but to that I say 'just hang on'. We received an email this week saying they were growing rapidly (hmmm, more unhappy WM customers?) and would be changing their routes to accommodate the growth. So frustrating!! Just moved to Putnam County and had limited choices on trash removal. Evidently we moved at a bad time for Jack's! We signed up nearly a month ago and never received a tote nor did we ever get our trash picked up. They told us they were behind and just leave our trash bags outside.... Sitting there without a tote.... All day and maybe all night. What? We live in the country, we can't just leave exposed trash out forever with critters. We took our trash to their facility, the only way they were able to help us. Called Rays and for the same price they will come this week. I know this is a bad season for them and I hope they get it together. read more

I don't know what their normal trash pickup is like but their dumpster rental prices are very reasonable and I've always had really great customer service every time I've called. The people are friendly and they have a pretty big selection of dumpster sizes for rent. read more

We live in town, so have to use Republic for trash pickup, but we always use Jack's for their roll off dumpster service. They've always been on time, professional and very polite. We have used them twice, and I'm about to do it again. We won't use anyone else for dumpster rental. read more

We have used Jack's Trash for over a year. They are GREAT! Always pick up trash on time and place container back in place. My grandson fell off of the school bus while trash truck was picking up trash in our area. The truck driver saw him and got out and helped him to my car. I couldn't see him fall from where I was parked. Not only do they do a great job but, very thoughtful and nice. read more

The service is not good. When I signed up on a one year contract, was told pickup was around lunchtime on Mondays. I think they showed up once at that time in three months. They show up anytime, or not at all once or twice a month. Very disappointed with them. I think the no shows suck. I got a dumpster. How hard is it to show up on schedule to empty. They consistently drove way too fast into my driveway to empty my metal dumpster. Never put the lids back down after dumping them (This is a small simple task that would save me from having to walk out there and do it each time). The entire time I used them, they showed very little pride in their work and was ALWAYS in a HUGE HURRY. They also Never put the dumpster back in the correct place. I had complained about the dumpster placement several times and it continued to be placed further into my yard. VERY POOR customer service, they protect their lazy, dangerous employees instead of fixing problems. AVOID them. read more
