Great basic store. Saw various kinds of packs of prosciutto (my new snack food) with all variations…read moreof salami flavors at only $5-6... and they had fancy cheeses and regular cheeses. Great for picnic foods or watching ponies for hours & snacking! They had drinks, teas, smoothies. I also saw shampoo, good stuff but also a big bottle for just $1.45... the humidity has killed my hair and they did have a couple fructose hair serums and dr bronzers soap . Get refreshed after beach swimming with products from here. They had a avacados and produce and cat food and all that you need. Great prices. Def stop in and pick up your goodies.

First off, yeah, they know lots of folks are going to want alcohol, and I think half of the aisle endcaps displayed something alcoholic. While they had a lot of classic and domestic products, they do offer a decent amount of local beer, wine, and pre-mixed cocktails (even though the Untappd app said the local beer I was looking for wasn't sold anywhere in a 25 mile radius, Island Foods had it!). We came the week of Pony Penning, and the store makes a couple dozen cakes (see picture) to celebrate the occasion. The produce aisle is small, but they have enough that you could get a decent variety of fruits and vegetables for your stay. There's a pretty decent selection of meats here. I don't remember seeing too much non-frozen seafood, but I imagine it's hard to compete with the fresh catch with specialty fish markets on the island. I was pleasantly surprised to find several Gardein products, which meant vegetarian Child #1 could have some imitation meats and seafood if he wanted a protein similar to what the rest of his omnivorous family would get. Things are pricey. Inflation's here to stay and it's a touristy beach town. Considering that, it's not too bad. The folks at the register were very friendly. Whatever foodstuffs you're looking for, it's a good bet that Island Foods has it.

And the food is truly real. Don't worry about the price. For a comparable meal at McDonalds, Halls Supermarket will be less. And the drink selection is the best in town. Mexican Coca-Cola, Mr.Pibb, various hard to find drinks, all here. The environment is friendly with a mix of locals and transplants. The outside may look discreet but what counts is whats on the inside! And inside there is wholesome and goodness. Some place warm 'n fuzzy and somewhere to stick your head in. It's a true full service grocery store unique and one of a kind. There's only one Halls Supermarket and we're lucky to have it. I've always heard there are people who come here from miles around. I'm a believer.
