I used to drive from Southampton to Amagansett to get the honey cinnamon latte from the store when they first opened. Jack happened to be there and was very friendly and very nice as was the staff. So, today I walked into THIS store. I'm sure they had a rough day as did we all working in Sag Village today. But I barely put my foot in the door and I got greeted by someone screaming at me that they were closed and they closed at 3. No need to yell buddy. This coffee shop was somewhat of a letdown. I came this morning to get a few coffees for my family and the lattes were pretty bland and the flavor was overall plain. I prefer lattes where you can really appreciate the flavor of the espresso, but this was more nondescript. Not that it was bad by any means, it just isn't worth getting again when there are so many superb options. I also did not like that they used small ice chips because 1) small pieces of ice melt faster than larger pieces, and it waters down your coffee more quickly, and 2) they do not give straws and so the little pieces of ice easily flow through the spout as you're trying to drink the coffee. The cashier was also really off-putting, which made the experience not great. All in all, there are much better coffee shops in this area that I will go to in the future instead of Jack's. read more

We were visiting for the day from Manhattan where I live. I had my Mom with me who has very strong taste in coffee. The local ladies at the florists recommended it -had that not been the case the two negative reviews below may have put us off. -We were not disappointed. Best cappuccino we have had in a long while. Let me preface this review by mentioning we were at a wedding the night before until 2 am, hungover and in desperate need of coffee for our ride home. Voila... we happened to be near Jack's Stir Brew Coffee so my wife and I parked across the street in the police station lot and walked over to the cafe. Ordered one iced coffee and one small regular coffee... and the price was $8.50. Let me repeat that, freaking $8.50 for two coffees that were average tasting, mild and a waste of money! Would have been far better off going to, dare I say, 7 Eleven!
