Menu is filled with options which made it hard to pick what to order which is an awesome "problem" to have, we all ordered breakfast and were not disappointed! I decided on the pancake/french toast flight and picked three flavors. I chose Cannoli French Toast, Reese's Pieces pancakes, and the loaded pancakes for a savory item. Cannoli was my favorite but they were all good, loaded even has an egg on top however you like it!Portion size is huge and everything tasted great!!!! They had a good challenge listed on the menu but none of us were up to the challenge! Service is amazing, and they even have a waitress warming up coffee, which I highly appreciate at places. The diner is busy but it was not too loud to hear your party and everything ran so smooth. All the servers were nice and seemed happy to work there! Menu price was shown using your card, they had a cash discount available if using cash which is a nice option! I wish I took pictures or everyone else's food but didn't. The drink options seemed amazing with make your own flights or their specials. The next time I am in the Syracuse area I will be going here to try more! Don't be afraid of the busy parking lot or wait time, it's worth it!! Also reading about the name and reason for this diner made me feel all the feels for the owners recovery, how can you NOT support a place like this??!! We will be back and can't wait to try more off their menu.

Was in the mood for a Chopped Cheese and in rare form I got it with almost all the veggies (im veggie picky). Tomato, lettuce, seasoned ground beef. Cheese, mayo and maybe some kind of sauce on a 12 inch sub roll. Blended great. Portions size was good and filling. Cost was a little high and didnt match menu price ( was about $2 more than advertised, $2 isnt breaking me just prefer to pay whats advertised.). Loved the taste and would definetly try something else there.

When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

I try my best to not really shine the light on negative experiences because it does impact the businesses. Unfortunately- we had such a poor experience at Sammy's that I felt the need to share. The space itself is fine. There are a handful of casual tables that if you were just grabbing a bite you could sit for a little. I was actually really excited to see all their menu items but we had intentionally gone there because we were in the mood for sandwiches. I just had gotten out of work & was excited to just have something quick & easy for a "deli" to make. We ordered the Roast Beef Supreme Hero & the Caesar Squeeze Hero. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived so again believing it would be reasonably quick. It took them 40 minutes & us having to address the team about our sandwiches to get them. I believe there was even a comment made that they had some how forgotten our ticket as they did have many DoorDash orders coming in. We finally received our sandwiches & waited to open them once we got home. It was highly disappointing to open our boxes only to find lazily made sandwiches that we waited 40 minutes for. The cheese in the roast beef was just a folded slice of store bought cheese slices. The roast beef was fine but there really wasn't anything else to note about the underwhelming sandwich other than I did like the roll. The Caesar Squeeze was equally underwhelming & the fries we got were sparse while also being cold. Paying $30 for a highly underwhelming bite to eat- I wouldn't even call it a meal- was disheartening. They had a vast menu so who knows maybe on the off chance we're in the area & everything else is closed we MIGHT try them again.

A new deli/convenience store in Baldwinsville decided to just adopt the dishes name as their store name and run with it. Chopped cheese offers a variety of sandwiches, wraps, halal platters and desserts, along with also serving as a bodega style convenience store. The space has been completely renovated and everything is brand new, bright and clean. They are mostly aimed at take out, with only a couple small tables with chairs for dining in. We tried Chopped Cheese when it first opened. Now, about 6 months later, we have been there several times and have tried several things on the menu. The good: when the food is made well, everything is usually pretty decent. The very first time we went, they had JUST opened and didn't have some ingredients on their menu yet, but we were able to substitute and everything was good. We were even given some free desserts, which were also tasty. The bad: Now that we've been there a couple times, there are definitely some issues. They have a lengthy menu, and even 6 months in, it seems employees are still not sure of all ingredients that go into their offerings, often questioning several times what you ordered off the menu, or physically having to check the menu to see what the ingredients for a dish are. While the service at the register is usually friendly, the service behind the food counter tends to be indifferent to customers and slow. We have, more than once, had our order either made incorrectly or missing items. We have learned to simply check our order before we leave, and they are always fine to remake whatever is wrong, but items being wrong/missing is a common occurrence. Overall, it's a decent spot when you need/want something fresh made, but don't want to sit down, but they definitely have some things they still need to work on.
