Came today to spend some nice quality and relaxing time with mom at Jack's. We felt welcome as we were greeted warmly by Jack. The workers gave us wonderful recommendations. GREAT SERVICE! Jack the owner is SO sweet. He makes it a point to get to know everyone's name. Very personable. The technicians took care in the work they did, making sure every aspect of my visit was relaxing and enjoyable. I got an eyebrow wax (always painful) but the woman who did it here tried to be as gentle as possible. I also got the "green tea pedicure" what an amazing hour long pedicure with perfect massages! Then I got acrylic tips put on with uv gel over the top. My French manicure came our perfect. Two weeks later my nails, and my pedicure are still looking fabulous! These are the nicest people to have ever worked in nail salons. I mean, how do they remember names of 4/5 people that comes through the door? Kudos. My gel mani experience was absolute torture (I don't throw that word around lightly). After the first few layers, there were very obvious streaks and bubbles. The girl proceeds to file off all the previous layers all the while the skin around my nails were becoming raw. Jack comes around and tells her to just soak it off, but she tries other torture methods first before Jack took over. What's that? You want me to now dip my already-raw fingers into pure acetone? FML. Sure enough, about a week after all that torture, the color is chipping. Waaah :'( read more

Jacks looks like any other salon but that's about it Jack himself is there almost all the time he is super friendly and come a few times HE WILL REMEMBER you! lots of Essie s to choose from big comfy massage pedicure chairs an excellent pedicure at 18 bucks a pop PLUS it includes a mini foot & leg massage plus a super mini but it does feel really good shoulder massage when you sit to dry they also have waxing and a put your head in the hole kneeling chair where you can have a back massage. never tried but someday maybe Since Jacks seems to pride itself on knowing their customers come a few times and you will get your own "box" where you can bring your favorite polishes and they will always be waiting for you along with your own nail supplies and your loyalty card I love Jack and I love his shop ps the other guys and gals that were there are great too read more

You better bet I'm going back tomorrow to get this fixed. Most expensive gel manicure I've ever gotten and it's chipped 6 hours later I DONT THINK SO. UNACCEPTABLE!!! Only gel manicure I have gotten that's even chipped before 12 days! Update: 2 days later (haven't had time to go back and complain yet) and it continues to chip. I am convinced I paid $30 plus $10 tip for a fake gel manicure. No chance this is gel. They should be ashamed! read more

My last review was written in 2012 and I go to Jack's so often that I feel an update is necessary (apparently I checked in 16 times but I have been there way more times). Jack's Nails is still wonderful and still my favorite nail salon. Everyone who works there is always super friendly and welcoming (especially Jack). My mother, my sisters, and my grandma all go to Jack's. They really get to know their clientele and when you walk in and they greet you with your name, you know that's the place for you. On the right hand side after you walk in, they have a large wall covered with tons of polish choices. I always stick with OPI or Essie but they have tons of other brands. I always go for the regular pedicure ($16). Some pedicurists are better than others but none of them are bad. The younger guy who works there is my favorite, he gives the best foot/back massage. Anyway, Jack's is great and you should go here if you need a mani or pedi!!! read more

Outdated! Bad quality, dirty, and definitely doesn't use sanitize tools! How can you run a business like that?

I like this place - pleasant atmosphere and friendly people. The first time I went in, Jack (the owner) ended up doing my nails himself. Very friendly and talkative as with the rest of the staff. The color selection is decent but could be expanded upon. Got a gel mani but was disappointed when it ended up chipping just days later (I think it was three/four). Was going to go back but didn't bother because it chipped right before I was set to leave for an event out of town. Second time, the gel mani lasted barely a week. I think the prices are great but I really wish the gel mani (that's supposed to last three weeks) would actually last that long. Will probably come back. read more

I have gotten several compliments on my nails this week! Jack is very personable, and due to crazy competition in Long Island, the shop is the tops! Staff was nice but will not return. Manicurist was using previously used and visibly dirty nail clipper and cuticle pusher. Nail files & buffer were also visibly used and old. Wanted a full manicure expecting it to take 30 mins, it lasted 15 mins. read more

This is not your typical overpriced long island salon. Jack hails from Queens County and dresses quite nicely. The employees take their time and do the job right. However, this place gets very busy at times and Jack is forced to turn customers away, so make an appointment during peak hours. During those times you may be slightly rushed if you're sitting in a pedicure chair. Overall, this place has good service and reasonable prices. read more

I give it a 1 star for taking me right away without a wait. The place Smells like they all need a shower. It is so bad that it overpowers the nail polish smell Speaking of needing a shower the tools were not cleaned to my standard. In front of me she dipped in a liquid cleaner after using it on the prior person. When I inquired she "no speak English". The entire pedicure took 6 minutes. I'm so grossed. I Got a be honest. I wasn't sure if I wanted to review the place because I feel bad but I couldn't leave not too because i had such a bad experience. I had an acrylic fill-in with regular nail polish and pedicure. Jack did all of my nails but he was rough and cut 3 cuticles open on my fingers and I was bleeding a little bit. It hurt me for 3 days long. He files my nails and on top of my cuticle after which hurt because they were already damaged by him and on top of that some acetone ughh. Very rough. This was just bad and unacceptable. The next thing is he did a bad job with the nail polish it just wasn't good like I always get in other places it was uneven. I also paid 5$ extra for the more better nail polish on my feet and hands and both the nail polish and acrylic starts chipping already within a week. I'm sorry but I never come back. I regret spending 70$ there. People can be nice but I rather have good service. read more

My biggest pet peeve is when it looks like my gel manicure has already grown out a few days worth because the polish isn't close enough to the cuticle. Jack, who is the owner, did my nails himself and did a very thorough job, making sure that I was satisfied with the shape, color, and length of my nails. He also gave me a shoulder massage that legitimately almost put me to sleep. Tends to get busy so I would make an appointment if you don't want to wait. Prices are reasonable, and I think the outcomes are worth it. read more

It's a nail place. they do mani pedi waxing and the like. Basic stuff. Here is Syosset you can go to a super-spa and get basically the same services and pay through the nose - or go to Jack's and get the same services for a fraction of the cost. They are VERY friendly - almost to the point of overkill. Every one of them will say your name to you at one point or another during your visit, which I find charming, others may think this is pushy. They may suggest more services, a spa pedi instead of a basic pedi - but never push. you get a nice 2 min shoulder run after a manicure, or spend another $10 for a face-down chair massage... worth every penny. This is also FREE after you fill in 10 visits on your loyalty card. The best best service they provide is waxing - they're good, work in teams sometimes, and you don't leave sticky. You don't need an appointment, but its not a bad idea to call ahead. read more
