Great breakfast menu but service is OK but it was not bad But overall it was good

My husband went to get me the dinner deal and it was 3:58 so they told him that they couldn't cook the chicken til 4. So he said he would go inside and order it. When he goes inside the manager was training someone and being rude to them and my husband. So then the machine wasn't reading my husband's card and he kept doing it and so I checked my bank account while he was still there and they double charged him 2 different amounts. So he asked about it and again she was being rude and saying it wasn't them that we have to talk to our bank so he showed her the bank account that it was them it said jacks heflin al. She like well it isn't us. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! read more

Lovely memories here. I know that as a child, I used to see an elderly couple here who we referred to as Mr. and Mrs. Claus because they looked so much like Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus that it was uncanny! This is a great fast food alternative to McD's, Wendy's, and others... Jack's is an Alabama fast food chain with a menu of burgers, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, fries, a few salads, and delicious breakfast biscuits! We go frequently when we are in Alabama because their breakfasts are a great deal and the employees are always pleasant. This location has some of the nicest employees I've ever encountered working fast food (nearly Chick-Fil-A level!). The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. It's similar to any other restaurant but Jacks really does have DELICIOUS biscuits! And a great price too. For lunch, their fries and burgers are a sure hit if you enjoy an excellent fast food burger. This location is a little off the interstate but if you want a more local Alabama experience and want to give McDonalds a night off, I highly recommend Jacks. I'd choose it over any other fast food restaurant any day! read more

Heflin employees dont know how to pack food or do their job.Not once have I gotten everything in my order without issues.If you want a quick and easy visit don't go here.They'll mess your order up in atleast 5 ways.They also like to purposefully overcharge.Managers are lazy and don't teach their employees either.Talapoosa's food is always raw and underdone.Ever want to make a lawsuit against jacks?Order at Talapoosa.If I were only reviewing the Oxford Jacks next to the mall the review would be much better.But these two;Heflin and Talapoosa-are absolutely horrible and are some of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. read more

I am not going to lie, it feels a bit strange leaving a 5 star review for a fast food establishment, but this Jacks is worth it! Service is stellar, with super nice workers who remember your name and order, will often bring your food to your table, will often offer to take your trays and trash away, and keep the restaurant immaculate. If you want to see real small town culture, come here on a Sunday morning and watch the old crowd come in! Food is also great, much better than nearby McDonalds and even better than other Jacks. Be sure to check this place out - it is worth the slightly longer drive off the interstate! read more

Food is quality and their service is pretty quick! They also honor a military discount, which is a plus! Double check your bag because they have messed up our drinks and burger on 2 separate occasions though. read more

By far the best Jack's within 100 miles. Biscuits are cooked better here than other Jack's, and I come from Tallapoosa just to have this Jack's service. SO...I go inside for my to go order tonight because I'm thinking it might help them get my order straight. SO...to the cashier who yawned in my face when I asked for a two piece chicken dinner with white meat: "Honey, if you went to all the trouble to tell me it would be 75 dollars more (yes, you said DOLLARS) and then collected the 75 cents from me, couldn't you also have gone to the trouble of actually giving me the correct chicken dinner?" This is an all new building and a great place to eat. The food is good and the staff is friendly. If there is ever a problem, the management makes it right quickly. Most likely the best chain fast food place in this small town. Ok, it really is and isn't even close. You can't go wrong with the big bacon combo. read more

If I could give this place a 1 star, I would. When I walked in, the roaches greeted me before the employees did. There was not even a line and it still took me 2 hours to even put my order in. After I put my order in, I went to sit down and there were rats having a tea party in the seat across from me. When I opened my food, maggots were crawling around in it. They served me my drink in a macaroni bowl. When I went to fill up the macaroni bowl they gave me as a cup, beetles and roaches came out of the drink dispenser. When I walked out the roaches wished me a good rest of the day. I will not be coming here again. read more

There's no way you can screw up sausage biscuit & gravy... Right? Exactly! There's no way. I've never been to a Jack's before. I don't think there are any around metro Atlanta..? On our way to Memphis, we stopped here. I opted for the sausage biscuit & gravy breakfast. I know I was super hungry but this was REALLY good. Haha. This is probably the nicest looking of all Jack's. Unfortunately it took them an absolute age to serve me my grilled chicken sandwich combo. Watched as people flooded to their orders one after another, cars whizzing through the drive in. Was a whole 15 minutes late to my little sisters therapy session right down the street. Overall the sandwich was put together in a very sloppy manner with lettuce and mayo pouring into the wrapper and all over the buns. Still a tasty meal but definitely not worth $7. read more

First I have to say that the staff here is very friendly. They have the best burgers and chicken fingers! BUT... They almost always give me unsweetened tea instead of sweet. So I stopped ordering it if I go through the drive through. And their fried chicken is awful. My family wasted a 12 piece bucket because it was so bad. That's unheard of for my crew. It left a really nasty tasting film in our mouths as well. Lesson learned, we don't get fried chicken here, other than the fingers. read more

They have the best biscuits! So tender and buttery. The food here always seems fresher than at other locations and the restaurant is very clean. They run a tight ship here! I should know... A decent fast food place with a good price. The mushroom Swiss burgers are great. The fried chicken is also better than KFC IMO.

The hometown, go-to for breakfast and fried chicken. I've eaten here a million times. It's fast food, great service and amazingly unhealthy. You'll leave feeling full, friendly, and like you need to run 4 miles to get back to normal. Expect to see a lot of locals, especially the senior crowd for breakfast. Good folks, good food. Clean restaurant, fresh food, and kind staff! I wouldn't have it any other way. I drive 1 1/2 hours to eat here. It's always worth it.
