There was none up front so the lady took the new guy to the back shelf to show him where things were/ I waited while she trained him. My mom works 3 mins away from this place so I always decide to bring her lunch, everytime I come here I am always missing something, every single time!! today it was fries, the other day it was my pie, the other days it was my sauces i asked for, fries, etc. I always try to give grace cause that's just the person I am, but gosh it literally happened every-time. Wanted to drop a note for this location. Consistently the food here is prepared properly and cooked well. The drive thru staff was clear spoken tonight. They keep the inside clean as well. Oftentimes I avoid jacks bc other locations are just no good. They don't get orders correct or even taste good. This Jack's location has a health score rating of 88 , so with that being said, draw your own conclusion. The staff was really nice. However, the restaurant itself needed to be cleaner in my opinion. The main road this location is on is currently being worked on so it was very difficult to get into the parking lot. Fast service. Fresh food every time I've come here. The softest biscuits for breakfast l also love that you can request butter on the inside of your biscuits and they do it. The BEST ranch known to man. I love the thick crinkle fries and the crispy tenders as well. I'd love the lemonade a little more if it were a tad bit sweeter. The ranch omg. I went there this morning for a remake of my bacon and egg biscuit from Friday morning. Let me first say that there were two other people ahead of me who were waiting for corrections to their orders. I heard them say that they were in the drive through and checked their bags to see missing food or prepared incorrectly. The lady said that she ordered 4 sausage biscuits and only got two of them. The man stated that his order was prepared incorrectly. Apparently the workers were not paying attention to what they were doing and on their cell phones. I waited for about 10 minutes after my biscuit was prepared to ask the bagger if my order was ready. I saw her texting on her cellphone and placing it in the holder with the utensils when she finished. As she gave me my biscuit I asked her who the manager was and she said that she was one of them and that her name was Leslie. What an example she was showing for the other workers. Stopped by while traveling. My 2 piece chicken dinner consisted of a tiny drumstick and a wing. Gotten this many times and they always do a bigger piece and a smaller piece. My potatoes were room temperature. No sweet tea so I got unsweet that had that old fermented taste. No utensils or napkins. Should've checked the box, but didn't think it was necessary. So I ate with a lid folded over. Lol. I imagine that being by the interstate they get lots of travelers, so giving utensils and napkins is a must. The young man at the window was polite, but they looked frazzled. I was saw at least five employees so I doubt it was because they were understaffed. If you are looking for a deal on a meal, look no further than Jack's. I received an email about their Big Jack and Fries deal, so guess what was for dinner. I was a little on the hungry side and did what most people would do, I started digging for fries and they were good and hot! I live close to the reataurant so when I arrived home and picked up my buger, it had a nice temperature to it as well. I enjoyed my meal and they get gold stars on the temperature of my food and the side of honey mustard to dip what I had left of fries. This Jack's is the worst fast food place I have ever been to, and certainly the worst Jack's location. My son and I were coming back from a dog rescue last week and it was late, so we wanted to stop at the Jack's by the Shelby County Airport to get some food. We pulled up to the speaker at 8:30 p.m. and tried to order chicken dinners. The young woman on the speaker was either incompetent, stoned, or deliberately trying to make fun of us. Simple things like "the two-piece chicken dinner" she didn't understand. She'd ask, "Do you want just the chicken?" I asked what came with it, and she didn't know. I told her that on the sign it showed that it came with sides. Then she said, "That's just with the dinner." I told her I knew, that we were trying to order the dinners. I asked her what sides were available. (That was not a dumb question on my part, because sometimes they are out of something.) She kept repeating herself. I finally told her to stop, then another female came on the speaker and was clearly mad at me. She said, "Just pull around." We pulled around. There was no one in front, or behind us. We pulled up to the window, which was open. There were three employees at the window. The woman who was wearing the grey pants and polo said something, then all three turned their backs to us! I called to them, but they ignored me. After a minute my son said for us to leave. I sent an e-mail to Jack's from their web site the next morning. A woman called me from Jack's and said that was one of her stores. I told her what happened, and she said the woman in gray was the manager, and offered to give me a dinner to make up for it. She asked which locations of her's and what time, so we agreed on the Jack's in Alabaster at 1 p.m. I drove there and they knew nothing about it! The manager got on the speaker and said, "Do you have like a coupon, or something?" I told him no, that the woman from Jack's was supposed to have called her. While I was still there I tried to call the woman from Jack's. I called twice. She didn't answer, and her voice mailbox was full! I went home and called Jack's customer care to leave a message. A young woman from their corporate office called me back. She took my complaint and said she'd have one of her superiors contact me. That was LAST week! Since then, the original woman I spoke and the second woman have not called me back, nor has a superior from Jack's. I have called several times since then, and no one has returned my calls! If this is the way they treat a life-long customer I don't need them! It's bad enough that they had embarrassed me in front of my son, but when they send me on that wild goose chase to Alabaster they made me look like a fool!!! read more

Had the 2 piece chicken meal. The biscuits and mashed potatoes with gravy are really good. The chicken and slaw were not my favorite. KFC chicken has them beat by far on the chicken. It was juicy just lacking in flavor. The slaw was bland & dry. They have good lemonade & the tea was brewed just right. The dining are was nice..stone fireplace, large TV. Overall, this Jack's consistently has good food quality. The customer service, though, is mediocre at best. At times they do well. But they don't repeat your order; they aren't pleasent to deal with; they tent to ask you "is that all?" as if customers are an inconvenience; they sometimes give you a total before commanding you, "pull around!"; and you have to ask the for a receipt. That last bit is concerning since Jack's as a franchise offers you a free biscuit or fries for filling out a survey (which you access using your receipt) rating your dining experience. The food, while good and reasonable priced, isn't worth the hassle of dealing with rotten attitudes and poorly trainined customer service reps. I suggest going to the next exit Southbound and visiting Chick-fil-A, Sonic, or Bojangles. read more

Stopped by to get lunch for my husband and I. Placed an order Boneless Wings and a 2pc meal. Spoke with a tall black lady she told the grill team what I wanted. It was explained to me the time of wait which I didn't have a problem with. I waited 20 minutes paid out almost $20.00 got no receipt!! I saw the man when he dropped the boneless wings. When I got the wings they were not all covered in the sauce requested. I asked the cashier to please ask the cook to cover them with the sauce and also the fries was old I did ask for hot ones as well.... Th black lady then went to the grill to speak with the old white lady about it. The old white lady said something for both of them to start laughing. I mean for waiting that long EVERYTHING should have been HOTT but to my surprise when my husband and I got on the freeway EVERYTHING WAS COLD. I was not and I'm still not happy about this. When I explained this to the manager she insisted on out talking me when I was trying to explain to her what happened. THEN STATED WHENEVER YOU COME BACK BRING IT (food) BACK WITH YOU. That was a wow moment and she expected for me to hold on to food for however long then take it back whenever I went back. That was the wrong answer and she should have been willing to accommodate since I told her what happened. Then for her to be standing there and over heard how I requested my order she knew that I was there. Then she was making multiple orders of fries and bringing them to the prep counter with her fingers hanging in the boxes. That was not sanitary!! It's clearly more love than hate because they always get my order right, the food is always hot and delicious, the restaurant itself is clean and updated, I love the sinks in the dining area, their milkshakes are to die for, and a family meal box of fried chicken or chicken tenders cannot be beaten for the price!! Not to mention the comeback sauce- if you haven't tried it before, it's good on EVERYTHING. However...I have never waited less than 15 minutes in the drive thru. This is literally the worst Jacks restaurant I have ever been to and honestly it tarnishes the Jacks name. I have given it multiple chances because it is 3 minutes from my house. This review will talk about multiple time I have been to the restaurant. The first time i went i dined it. I ordered the Big Jack meal. (Which looks like it comes with cheese). I got it and no cheese on it. I went to the cashier just to mention that i didnt get any cheese; and while i was doing so the assistant manager walked by and rudely said "on the picture that is mustard not cheese". So Ill admit i made the mistake of not reading the description, but the point here is they were rude when correcting me AND did not offer to add cheese to it, wether it would be an upcharge or not. The second time i went i went through the drive thru. My biscuits were not wrapped or in a box or anything, but just literally thrown in by themselves in the bag. Thats gross. Also, i ordered two chicken tenders and only got one; when i mentioned it they gave me my second by, once again, dropping it in the bag without wrapping it or anything. The third and final time; my fries were burnt and cold and obviously old. No straw given to me. No napkins. While some of these are minor gripes; they have all added up. I will never go back here. Corporate Management really needs to go to this place and intervene. If its franchised; then its pretty obvious the owner doesnt go by at all. We were on vacation when our SUV broke down. Got off the interstate and to a gas station. While waiting for the rental we stopped in Jack's. After reading the reviews we were skeptical but gave it a try because we didn't have much of a choice!lol!!! We were welcome with open arms. The staff, manager, and district manager were very friendly and the food was awesome! They were very attentive to their work and even mentioned how sorry they were about our SUV.
