I stopped in this morning for breakfast. The food was good but the place was nasty. there was coke spilled everywhere at the condiment bar, they had no napkins anywhere, they had no large cups, the bathroom had no soap or paper towels at all so I peaked into the stalls and no toilet paper eather. The counter help were just hang out riding the clock but we finally got to place our order. The food gets a 4 out of 5 rating the help gets a 3 just because they did show up at work (not to work) Why is it always the help. read more

We pulled in just before closing and we had two basketball teams! (2 vans) The service was impeccable. They didn't look like they had very many workers, but we couldn't tell. She took our orders precisely and orderly. She was also nice and extremely patient! By the time I filled up my drink, the food was ready. It was hot and delicious. If I lived closer, Jacks would be one of my new favorite fast food restaurants! The burger was juicy and the shake was thick and smooth!! I'm not a fan of crinkle fries, but they were hot and crispy. When you walk into an empty restaurant and the whole staff has their back to you while you stand at the register waiting to order, including two managers, you start wondering if the food matches the service. I'm a military veteran who's worked in food service for years since then. Even I know you should at least offer your attention or greeting when people come through the door. I chose not to waste my money along with my time. Service is literally the first thing you offer before someone even orders food. I felt invisible. read more

my grandad used to tell me that if you're playing at the only card game in town, the house will always win. Jacks Family Restaurant seems to exist on that small town warning from my grandad. they bill themselves as a "family" restaurant but that's pretty far from honest. The reality is they're close to the main highway and the only competition is McDonalds, which sucks world wide, not just here. let's start with service...i pull up to the drive thru and greeted with a language greeting that someone not from these parts would call "gibberish". whatever the attendant said was in a language that only he could understand. i asked for a sweet tea..."we aint gots no sweet tea". oh, ok. you're out of something you literally make. "how about a Coke?" i responded. "we outa Coke". this is the point that i realized how deep the incompetency of the management really went. How do you not have either? i pull up to the window to get mg order and half of it is missing. i let the guy know and he came back, and guess what...i'm still missing food! they pretty much got everything wrong on a fairly simple order of 3 breakfast biscuits, 3 hash browns, and 1 drink because they "ain't got none" of the other drinks. you see, Jacks being the only card game in town, and i occasionally like to gamble, i keep forgetting that valuable lesson my grandad was trying to teach me. the food is subpar. the service is beyond horrible (potentially a sign of the available labor force) and the ambience is somewhere between lazy and apathetic. find another card game, or just cook your own food...either is better than going by Jacks in Barnesville, Ga. read more

Food ordered at approximately 10:40 for a 12:15 pickup. Picked up at 12:22. Walked into restaurant and stood in area designated for online order pick-up, by a big sign. One other couple at register. Woman helps that couple while a second woman walks up making eye contact with me. She doesn't speak, just turns her back towards me. 1st Woman finishes with couple makes eye contact with me and also turns her back to me. Neither acknowledged me. I had to finally say ma'am I have an online order. I was then handed two bags and left. I didn't want to open everything and let the heat out as it was barely warm. I did Crack to box a little to see chicken and biscuits and thr rest of sides piled on top of chicken. Get home to find 4 pieces of chicken from my 10 piece to be missing and 3 out of 5 biscuits missing. Drove back to Jack's and the lady that handed me my food just 4 minutes prior didn't seem to remember doing so. I advised why I was there and she asked if I knew who packed it. I reminded her it was an online order and I didn't see who packed she then said so 8 piece after I just told her 10 and 4 pieces were missing. She then said how many pieces did you get I dmsaid again 6 out of 10. She then had to ask how many pieces were missing? I wasn't rude my husband was a little aggravated and wasn't as nice as me cause he had company meeting him which is why we needed the food but we still weren't mean. Went through the drive thru and there was one car ahead of me. The women taking the order rudely told him they did not have any pancakes, so he pulled off. I pulled up and ordered biscuits and gravy and she had an attitude talking to me but after I ordered biscuits and gravy I paused to see if there was anything else I wanted and she said rudely "is there anything else!" and I asked her to hold on a minute and she must of forgot I could hear her talking to other employees saying "She telling me to told on. She better hurry up!" I don't see why I needed to hurry I was the only one in there drive thru!!!!!!! And then when I pulled up to the window three of them was standing there chit chatting. All I am saying is if you are going to have employees working for you make sure you put the rude ones in the back cooking or not associating with the customers!! read more

Been here several times since they opened. The food isn't completely horrible. But the timeliness and service are always lacking. Thought I would go through the drive through quickly on my way home. I sat at the window over 12 minutes before posting this review. They've came to the window twice now asking what I ordered. And I've already paid. Second time at the brand new Jack's, which has been open for 7 days now. I expected a wait. But not for over 45 minutes. Got to the window and had to pull forward and wait for another 10 minutes. Steak biscuits were good and hot; chix fingers had been sitting under a heat lamp (dipping sauce I ordered was missing); hamburger (double) was good, with a lot of condiments - just right. I really want to like them for more than just those fried (yes, FRIED) pies, (like McD's used to do). May give them another chance in a few weeks once the newness wears off. By then, I hope the staff is better trained. Three folks doing nothing, standing by the register at the drive through window is not a good look when folks have been waiting in a drive-thru line. Never had anything bad here. Come every Sunday for biscuit n gravy. So why only 3 star you say. Wake up management. In the the 5 min I stood there waiting on my food I observed 3 glove violations. One kid is back there eating with his gloves on, one wiped his nose with the back of his glove but still, and a girl scratched her head and proceeded to touch food. I came in from out of town and haven't had Jack's in years. The thought of the young managers with NO experience in professionalism. He was HORRIBLE. He needs management training. Talks loud with the workers when customers are present. Because I asked for freshly cooked fingers He and another worker was irritated by it I guess. Slanging utensils dropping them on the floor turning their back to talk about me. Just make your customer happy. That's how you'll keep your business running. Other customers said they should've asked for fresh Because their food was not fresh either. I've given this place many opportunities to provide a positive dining experience but they have failed each and every time. Today I ordered the bacon double burger. The meat was so lukewarm close to being cold it must have been cooked an hour before I arrived. Have to ask for Ketchup. Have to ask for a cup for sweet tea. The previous experiences were no better unfortunately. People standing around waiting for their shift to end instead of asking what they can do for the paying customers. read more

Disappointing. We waited at the register for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. There were quite a few employees so it was not a staffing shortage. I could not believe how rude they were. Drive though line was long so we went across the street to Wendy's. We finished our burgers before the cars at Jack's made it through the line! read more

Stopped in on our to Griffin. I was hungry. There were 5 or 6 workers standing around talking. Having a good time. But no one offered to take our order. Well... I always said I'd never leave a bad review, but this one is deserving. I want to spare you all from getting your heart broken like I did mine. I love Jacks, so this location really let me down. After seven trial runs, I think this location is worthy of one star. The service very slow and has not sped up since opening day. The staff is quite unfriendly and always seems to have an attitude. My orders have been wrong 3/7 times I have visited. Lastly, the restaurant is not kept very clean. I do hope this location gets better with time, but they have a long way to go. I will not be going back. read more

If I could give it minus 5 stars I would. The first time I went they messed up my order. The second time they kept me waiting 20 minutes and they weren't busy. This time, they have been advertising Fried Green Tomatoes except they didn't have any. Ordered Fried chicken but all they had were legs. And when I complained, the clerk laughed at me. Terrible service. Your going to wait atleast an hour for chicken that is sitting right before your eyes. The lady's behind the counter literally took my order. And instead of turning around and fixing it proceeded to organize the chicken rack and sweeping the floor: no sense of urgency. The chicken had sat under the light so long it was dark in color. Some of the frys were hot. Some were old. Mashed potatoes and gravy were cold This place is fairly new and is dirtier than any restaurant in barnesville already.
