So Red is always on point when you walk through the door to take your order and make sure it's accurate. I ordered the cheeseburger bowl formerly known as the patty melt bowl. That bowl was sooo good. It came hashbrown, onions cheese hamburger patty....I added pickles, ketchup and mustard...When I tell you bussin that hashbrown bowl was magnificent I didn't make it out the parking lot I ate it right there. Two things the order is not completed, and the other one does does not cook longer than the original. I had the same order the Texas bacon(sandwich only) and the regular waffle. Sheesh. When I walked in I thought they recognized me from a previous robbery or something. No greeting, no acknowledgement, just 5 faces looking like I had annoyed them. I sat down at the counter and minutes later, after watching a full kitchen work leisurely around each other, I was greeted with a dry "what are you ordering?" Well damn, did I sleep with you last night and forget to leave the money on the dresser?! Placed my order and the girl took some of the "eff you" out of her demeanor. I sat with my waffle getting cold and eventually another server handed me syrup. I asked the other guy if he needed some because they weren't talking to him either. Then a regular comes in and everyone is like, "Hi Mr Tablet! How you doing today?!" So they ARE capable of friendly service. They just chose not to give it to me. I'm normally not bothered by poor service unless it's outrageous but you have 42 signs on the door about being nice to the staff and they don't even greet customers? First visit to this location, it's been open for a few months so the building still nice and new. The staff were all very friendly and they were very prompt in clearing off a booth for us to sit down. I have never seen that many people in the kitchen before however that didn't seem to help the service. The food arrived pretty quickly, but it took us forever to get follow up service as our waitress seemed to have forgot about us. read more

They would only do takeout orders when we got there. We were asked to go to the next city up the interstate.

This new Waffle House started out good, but has went downhill very quickly. For one thing, their sweet tea and waffles are nasty. They taste nothing like how they normally do, and are quite sour. The staff are very cranky, especially the ones at night. I recommend going to the Waffle House on Zebulon Road or Tom Hill Blvd instead of this one. read more

I just came from this Waffle House and I am sadly disappointed. I was excited to see the new location on Bowman Road! I love Waffle House! After I ordered my favorite meal of T-Bone Steak and Eggs with hash browns covered, smothered, and country; I got home sat down and was very sad to see the disgraceful reflection of my meal. No onions, no gravy, but 1 lonely slice of cheese sat atop my very dry hash browns. You charged me for all of the above and more, give it to me!!!! The steak was over seasoned and even the toast was burnt!! I'm so sad about this experience at the Waffle House on Bowman Road. It is a nice building, but honestly I could taste the GPA's that cooked this food! 0.01! If I could give less stars I would. The 1 star qualifies for the nice, clean, new building. Went there at around noon today with my wife and three daughters. I was excited about this location because I live approximately 3 minutes away, it's in a nice area, and it looks clean. The bad impression started as soon as we walked in. There was one empty table. However, it still hadn't been bussed. There were plenty of staff and they were aware we were there but took forever to clean the table off. This, of course, is not enough to prompt me to write negative feedback. The man at the grill was berating the rest of the staff with random loud outbursts and they were visibly stressed. Our drinks were brought out at the same time as the food. That was right around the time the man at the grill went off on a tirade threatening a female employee with violence and subsequently daring anyone in the kitchen and seemingly in the diner to do something to stop him. He was dropping F bombs and claiming he was a crip. He continued the tirade by storming out and back in to the kitchen. This went on for over 5 minutes until an older lady from the staff appeared to talk sense to him and escorted him out of the kitchen. I don't expect top notch professionalism when visiting Waffle House and have seen my share of staff feuds at other locations in the past. This one, however, went well over the line. If I was the owner of that diner, I'd freak out at the thought of having that guy as an employee. Big time liability. By the way, the food was the worst we've ever had at a Waffle House. I don't recall ever being unhappy with WH's food until visiting this location. I don't think the grill guy was too worried about serving a quality product today though. read more

My Waffle House experience was very good. The eggs were fantastically done. The waffle was crisp, yet soft, and the toast was well buttered and browned perfectly. The downfall was at the grits, as they were congealed and tasted like they were made hours ago. They are still newly opened so it's understood that not everything is in place yet, but overall, the staff was nice, and I'll be returning there again before I return to my home state. read more
