First-class orthodontist with staff members who treat the patients with kindness, understanding, and lots of patience. I'm extremely impressed. My son didn't like the other orthodontist we met with before Dr. Kurth and knew he wanted Dr. Kurth based on his experience in her office and based on the fact that almost everyone from his school sees Dr. Kurth. When my son had a braces wire pop out, Dr. Kurth was responsive and able to get us in the next day to fix it. Her Belmont office is closer to us, but we sometimes go to the Foster City location. The Foster City office is nicer, in my opinion. The Foster City location seems like it runs more on schedule than the busier Belmont office, but either place does the trick. I highly recommend Dr. Kurth! read more

When it was time for my child to start the braces journey, I did a lot of research and met with several orthodontists. It was very important for me to find an orthodontist that my child would feel comfortable, safe and at ease with because she is very anxious when it comes to dental work. Since we would be spending at least 2 years with an orthodontist, finding one my child trusted was a top priority. When we met with Dr. Kurth, I explained that my child is very anxious and it is important for her to know what exactly is happening and why. Not only did Dr. Kurth soothe my child's fears but she also made sure that her staff followed suit. When we met for our consultation (which is free) she explained the whole procedure to her. What she would need, for how long and most importantly, why. She wasn't just talking to me, she was talking to both of us. Acknowledging the fact that my child is a person, the person that would be experiencing the treatment and that her questions and fears were valid. While I had my own expectations of what the braces journey would be for us...lots of anxiety, tears, and frustrations...I am happy that it has been none of that. I truly believe that this pleasant journey is because of the calm demeanor Dr. Kurth has when she speaks with children and actually hears how they are feeling. She never dismisses my child feelings and always finds a way to ensure her comfort and she never rushes during our appointment. When it was time to make the mold of her teeth, my child was afraid of gagging and throwing up. Dr. Kurth and her staff took the time to listen to her and worked with her to get it done. I was shocked! I was expecting a day full of panic and several tries. But because Dr. Kurth had listened to us (some Drs only pretend too) she knew exactly how to calm her to get it done without any discomfort. That's when I knew we had made the right choice. I love the fact that I can also email Dr. Kurth with any concerns or questions I may have and she responds back! I couldn't believe it because some dentists/doctors won't communicate through email. When my child was having trouble with her expander, I emailed her and she responded that evening with some suggestions to help her get used to it. If you are in the process of starting orthodontic work and whether or not you may have an anxious child, I highly recommend Dr. Kurth and her staff. They have two offices, one in Foster City and one in Belmont. Her entire staff from the front office, dental assistants and office manager are amazing. I couldn't be happier with the choice I made in selecting her. http://jacklynkurthorthodontics.com/ read more

Dr. Kurth, besides giving my kid straight teeth, clearly has the patient's best interest at heart. I got to witness her chair-side manner with my boy - she's great! I like getting text messages about an upcoming appointment (none of our other family's doctors do that, yet). Her staff is awesome - from the receptionist to assistants. The bittersweet of it all is last week was my son's last visit. I highly recommend and would trust her with my 32. Dr. K, truly a Special K in my book. read more

I was referred to Dr. Kurth by a dentist who was doing some implants for me. Obviously, I am an "older" adult. It can be pretty overwhelming to go for braces at such a late date in ones life. From the moment I met Dr Kurth and her staff I knew I was in the right place. Her offices are very congenially appointed and there is just a very friendly calm feeling about the place. Dr. Kurth is amazing! She examined me, took pictures, asked what results I was looking for, and consulted with the other 2 dentists involved. The plan she came up with was minimally invasive, and actually not overwhelming. I love the fact that she gives you the price for the whole package. There were no hidden charges and no extras. The price was very reasonable, considering that it is an estimate for a long term project... or at least it was for me. She has a soft quiet manner that is backed by expert workmanship. Dr. Kurth knows exactly what she is doing and she has the skill of an artist. I was not the easiest of patients since I was older and undergoing lots of other dental work, but Dr. Kurth and her staff made it happen! I will always be grateful to her. I am a foodie and because of Dr. Kurth, I have rediscovered my joy of food! read more

Dr. Kurth is great. But to see her you must be prepared for difficulty in scheduling and making appointments over the phone. Also plan on appointments taking much longer than communicated. Follow up calls from their office are also hit or miss. But when you do get her things are great. read more

Pathetic Service! Money machine doctor who cares nothing about kids... Please listen and take your child elsewhere... The entire office breeds with incompetence and of course stems from the owner! Kids are bound to loose braces.. Charging double for replacement is highway robbery and absolutely unethical. read more

I have been using the services of Dr Kurth's clinic for nearly two years (pretty extensive dental needs!) Dr Kurth and her team are amazing. They are caring, professional and dare I say I actually enjoy my appointments there. My dental needs require much coordination with other service providers. Dr. Kurth has maintained excellent, clear and thorough communications with my other Dr's. End result; my quality of life has greatly improved with their services and interventions. read more

I took my son Dakota to Dr Kurth for a 4th consultation for braces. Dr. Kurth and her staff were amazing. She didn't recommend treatments that truly weren't needed as many other orthodontists had. Her prices were very reasonable and if you need it very workable payment plans. Her bedside manner is one of the best that I have seen with dentists/orthodontists. My son was scared of braces initially but after meeting with Dr. Kurth all fears were set aside. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing orthodontist!! read more

I love this practice and I have perfectly aligned teeth now! Dr. Jackie Kurth is the most patient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful orthodontist. I am also going to take my 2 boys to her for orthodontic treatment. Highly recommend her practice! read more

The Demattei kids have been patients of Dr. Kurth's for a few years now and I can honestly say that I've been VERY pleased every step of the way. There were a couple of incidents where I had to contact Dr. Kurth outside of normal business hours for help. Not once did I feel, from her, that it was an imposition to come into the office on a Sunday afternoon, although I felt bad myself for having to call. Dr. Kurth and her staff are always very friendly and professional. Both of her office locations are warm and inviting for all ages. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Kurth to everyone who is just starting to look for an Orthodontist. read more

I originally chose Dr. Kurth for my 10-year-old son for a variety of reasons including a recommendation from my son's dentist, fair price, convenient location and her pleasant and professional demeanor. We have been with Dr. Kurth for two years now and my son is about to have his braces removed. Our relationship with Dr. Kurth has been nothing but perfect. She's always prompt, friendly, accommodating and professional. Most importantly, she is a highly skilled and knowledgeable orthodontist. I highly recommend her! read more

My daughter was not looking forward to getting braces. Luckily, we received a recommendation for Dr. Kurth who has made the process so easy. Dr. Kurth and her staff are so warm and welcoming. They walked us through all of the different options during our consultation and recommended the right treatment for my daughter. Also, we've had two "minor emergencies." The first was when my daughter said she knew what to do with her rubberbands, but couldn't figure it out once she got home. We went back to the office the next day and the staff patiently worked witth her until she was able to put them in herself. The second time, she ate something and one of the bands came loose. They fixed it the next day. In addition, the Carlmont office is very conveniently located for anyone attending Ralston or Carlmont High School. Thanks Dr. Kurth and staff for being so "nice and helpful." (Daughter's words.) read more
