Dr. Poladian's office unfairly & publicly humiliated me, telling me in front of staff & another patient that I couldn't make a return appointment until my balance was paid when I had just received my invoice 2 business days ago. Plus, the charges on this newly received invoice were not even 30 days old & her staff had already told me to pay the balance after I had a chance to verify the charges are correct since they have no visibility into their billing system & therefore can't do it for me. If they were able to confirm the amount due was correct & in accordance with my insurance company's EOB, I could have paid it on the spot. I have been a patient for over 10 years and always pay my bills promptly. Due to the humiliation I felt, I emailed Dr. Poladian about it but she doesn't care enough about the unwarranted damage I felt to my honor to change the behavior in such circumstances. She stands behind the policy, whereas I feel making someone feel unwelcomed due to non-payment should be reserved for people who don't pay their bills. I gave her no reason to consider me to be such a person. She should be gracious instead of insulting towards her good clients. But I feel she destroyed the trust we once shared by telling her staff to convey that message to me upon exiting the exam room where she was being nice to my face during my visit. read more

Great doctor! I recently moved to the area and needed to find a doctor who wasn't dismissive of me because I was young or thought my complaints were "no big deal." Dr. Poladian spent an hour with me and addressed each issue thoroughly and proposed multiple solutions she had in mind. If you are in need of a goood doctor Dr. Jacklin Poladian is the doctor for you. She is an amazing person who is extremely devoted to her patience. A little over 2 years ago I was rushed to the hospital because of chest pains at 2 in the morning, later to find out that I had a heart arrhythmia. Some doctors don't answer their phones after they leave their office, they say if there is an emergency just go to the hospital. Well I went to the hospital and I called her at 3 in the morning and she picked up her phone and she made sure that I was taken care of. She even came to visit me in the hospital that same day to make sure that everything was being done properly, she also called and talked to my cardiovascular physician so that they could both work out a solution to fix my condition; she called everyday to make sure that I was ok. If it were not for her I may have died that day. Both me and my wife are so thankful that she is our doctor, she is an amazing woman and I will encourage anyone and everyone to go to here. Dr Poladian is a superb professional. She truly and genuinely cares and spends a lot of time with every patient trying to figure out their health problems and offer help. Before meeting Dr. Poladian I had just about accepted that doctors viewed me as another item on their daily to-do list to be processed as quickly as possible. Dr. Poladian put that theory to rest - she spent a lot of time with me to answer all of my questions and thoroughly explained my condition to me. I visited Dr. Poladian's office on April 10 for physical and April 17 for upper abdominal pain. The waiting room was small. I felt a violation of personal space. The warm air in that waiting room did not help either. I had positive experience with all the people I interacted, including Dr. Poladian, which corroborated with the comments from most of the people on social media. However, the interaction beyond the office setting was cold, with no compassion, and zero interaction. On April 18, I talked to Connie, a front office staff, to relate my concern of radiation dosage from a CT scan to see whether an alternative test could be ordered to minimize such risk. That night the excruciating pain led me to an ER. While there I had my lab and CT scan done. On the night of April 19, I faxed the lab and radiologist results to her office and asked for guidance. On April 20, I called twice to follow up and the recording message said I called during non-business hours, despite I called during the regular business hours. I then left an urgent message on Dr. Poladian's pager. On the afternoon of April 21, I talked to Connie to express my displeasure not to hear from the office at all. She then said to me that the office was busy on April 20 and the office did not receive my fax till Thursday night. To date, I still have not heard from Dr. Poladian's office since my April 17 visit despite all the metrics she has received from a spectrum of tests she ordered on top of those from my ER visit. I was most appalled by the fabrication of not receiving my fax until a day later given that in the electronic age everything is time stamped. The impact of this inaction to me has been enormous as I have lost 2 precious days (April 20 & 21) not to have my case resolved. read more

I could not recommend Dr. Poladian enough. As a fellow healthcare provider, I have great difficulty finding someone who can respect my knowledge but still offer guidance. I tend to over-worry about health concerns and she is so sensitive to my concerns without trivializing them or brushing them off. She is one of the few practicing physicians who spends an entire hour discussing my concerns. Her physical is thorough without cutting corners. She is very systematic in her approach, making sure to review everything. I read some of the other reviews; I am sympathetic to their concerns but it is incredibly challenging being a physician in this day and age. They have pressure from every facet - patients, insurance companies and specialists. Given the spectrum of doctors I have worked with and been under the care of, I give Dr. Poladian a 10 star!! read more

I got an allergic reaction to something I ate that produced a rash throughout my body. I made an appointment with Dr. Poladian and she was able to see me that same day because she had an opening at 2:00 pm. I expected a more thorough physical especially because of all the good reviews on here but to my surprise, was extremely disappointed by my visit. After waiting in one of the rooms for 30 minutes for her to come in, Dr. Poladian barely introduced herself and hardly seemed excited or pleased to have a new patient. She was scared to shake my hand firmly which I found insulting as my rash was not contagious or severe. She quickly asked me what I ate or what products I used on my skin and the symptoms I was having. She jotted down a few notes and then told me I would have to take benadryl. Thanks Dr. Poladian: not only did you not settle my worries about the cause of my allergic reaction but you just told me to buy an over-the-counter medicine, which I had already been using by that point. By the time I exited the doctor's office, I realized that she hadn't even cared to see the rash or observe my skin. First impressions are everything and Dr. Poladian left a bad taste in my mouth. Part of my criteria for a good doctor's office is how well they communicate. I'd rank this office as low on that front. I made an appt for next week as a new patient about a month ago (really booked far out, but I thought it might be worth it if she's good). I told them my insurance and made sure they took it before I made an appt. Everything seemed fine. But just today, someone from their office calls to confirm the appt and adds in a disclaimer for the insurance. I was confused at first and explained I'd already verified they take my insurance. But, after some back and forth, the woman explained that they don't guarantee that my plan will be covered in or out of network because there are so many plans. I thought I had already given my plan information so I am still confused about that point. She basically said that it's my responsibility to check that or be responsible for a larger fee if it's not 'in network' Well, two business days before my appt is a bit rude in terms of me having time to call the health insurance company (which usually takes a good 20 minutes just to get through the initial phone tree and speak to a person). After rephrasing my question about verifying it with them and getting a 'no' back each time, I decided to cancel and try another doctor who is more willing to help their customers. This might not be a big deal to others, but for me, it's a poor user experience. And it was a waste of my time - I could have booked a different doctor weeks ago and already been in to see him/her. read more

I'm so confused! The reviews are stellar but my visit was not. I made an appointment to see Dr Poladian for a physical. It took over a month before she had an opening but that made sense since I was a new patient. Unfortunately I never even saw her. Instead, after waiting 30 minutes in the waiting room (not including the 25 minutes I spent filling out paperwork) and another 15 in the exam room, I was greeted by a nurse practitioner that did my physical. It was fine but I at least expected to meet my new doctor. I am admittedly a little disappointed given the discrepancy between her reviews and my experience. Reading some of the negative reviews on Poladian, I think they are not entirely justified. She does have little disclaimers that the patient is responsible for knowing what is covered by insurance and in-network etc, but that is a good thing. Someone complained about this, but I doubt she has the time and energy to learn the details of each insurance plan. She just wants to make sure people verify things themselves with the INSURANCE COMPANIES, not her, to avoid misunderstandings. Perfectly reasonable. Also, in regards to the guy with the rash, Benadryl has a history of working to get rid of an allergic reaction; she doesn't need to see the rash to know that. And for more detailed analysis, go to an allergist; she's not an allergist. Anyway, I have been looking for a primary care physician in the area, since I am not from around here, and after not going to the doctor most of my life. I was pleased with Poladian. I went in for one issue and she ended up giving me a physical, an EKG, ordering blood tests, going through my family history, even advising me on getting a booster tetanus shot (I need one) and checking vitamin levels (through the blood test orders). It felt very thorough. And I am the type of person to verify everything myself, so I did google all the blood tests she ordered and I felt they all made sense in light of what I told her about my family history and current symptoms. I will definitely be returning to her. She does make recommendations about your health without regard to cost, so this is why the disclaimers are necessary - check on the costs yourself. I do appreciate this though because I want to make the cost decision myself. I don't want a doctor who omits an important test because (s)he thinks I can't afford it. I do have to wait sometimes 45 min. to be seen, but I am very patient in this way because I never plan my life expecting that any doctor visit will be short. Also, if it means that she is thorough, I am willing to wait longer. She also did a breast exam and told me that I have fibrocystic breasts, which is good to know because cancer runs in my family and fibrocystic breasts make it harder to detect. She also advised me to get mammograms 10 yrs. before the age of diagnosis of my grandmother. All useful information that no other doctor gave to me before in previous exams. And preventive in nature. It's really hard to find a doctor who takes a truly preventive approach. read more

Dr. Poladian is an excellent doctor. She takes the time to really listen to all your questions and concerns and explains her treatment plans thoroughly. I felt I was in very safe, competent hands. On one particular occasion I was having terrible symptoms; as soon as I finished describing my symptoms she new exactly what was wrong with me. She worked with a specialist to figure out the best treatment plan and followed up with me to make sure I was doing better. She is very kind and patient and obviously cares about her patients. My one criticism is that it can take awhile to get a response to phone messages from her or her staff. That could be due to the fact that she gives her in office patients her undivided attention.
