We ate here Tuesday, next to a large window with a nice view. We both had the stuffed baked potato with three meats included with all the other good stuff. It was amazing. The service was superb. We will definitely be returning to one of our favorite restaurants. Thank you Jack Stack!

Jack Stack food is delicious and they have a warm fireplace In the winter! Colin is my server and he served my lunch so fast. Thank you! I like to sit at the bar and watch sports. Today it's golf.

Onion rings were perfectly cooked. Server brought out all 4 bbq sauces to try

We came to KC for opening day for the Royals 2025 season! Of course you have to do BBQ in KC! I had hear d about Jack Stack before. It never made it there. I loved the restaurant ambiance. It smelled good from outside! I love beef ribs! The flavor was great, but one of the 2 was so fatty, I felt ripped off. I should've asked the server to replace it but I had burnt ends and brisket to eat so chose not to. I loved the 4 different BBq sauces our server let us try. They were all good, the hottest hits you at the back of the throat. My surprise was the hickory beans! The best flavor and meat in them. My hubby pd the +16 for his 2 choice meal and got the crown beef rib. It was full of meat and large. The meat was like having a roast on a bone He added the turkey, but was disappointed in it. A 4 star means we will be back when we're in town!

Their food and service has been phenomenal, I was visiting and I went to this place twice because of everything. The vibe is great too. I get out of the car and the first thing I smell is the BBQ - wow.

Busy on the Fourth but both bartenders handled their own , serving great drinks and prompt service even the extras requested! Sitting at the bar is always a bonus because there's others you meet with good conversation

We stopped here for lunch on a. Friday to get some BBQ while in MO and it was super busy, we were only able to be seated at the bar. I got the hickory smoked chicken chili which I really enjoyed and my husband got a combo plate of burnt ends, brisket, and the creamed corn, which he also liked.

Chain - Awesome KC BBQ Even though it's a chain, awesome KC BBQ! We tried the chicken wings, pulled pork, scalloped potatoes, and fries! Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Stop by a Jack Stack for KC BBQ!

The place is large and loud. Even though the place was packed the service was 5 star. But it all comes down to the food. And while the food was good it wasn't great. You won't go away disappointed unless you were looking for the best BBQ in the Midwest. The burnt ends like most of what they called burnt ends today really weren't. The burnt ends should literally end with no more not burnt meant than there is burnt meat. It was more like a shredded brisket sandwich with chopped brisket than what I would call a burnt end sandwich. But it was good. And the bbq sauce was good as well. The beans were the star of the show. Laced with meat and great bbq flavor that had no need to add bbq sauce to it. Lastly the fries. Just ok, not bad but not great. A frozen version of fresh cut which are never as good as fresh cut fries. At least they weren't those battered fries. As for the price/value equation. Better than spending your money on Taco Bell value meals but not better than getting the double double meal at in n out. Unless of course you're tired of going to in n out all the time.

Great lunch and I was craving the lamb ribs! When you need your bake beans and cheesy corn fix ya gotta get to get to Jack stack. It has become my bday tradition to have their carrot cake for my bday cake! It's to tier! Great servers and they take great care of me! It's so nice. If an open and comfortable! I love that the weather has changed and they have that fireplace going.

We had a party of 6. The waiting area was pretty packed, bar was packed as well. So we were trying to make use of what was "open" in the waiting area. Unfortunately there was a waitress that walked by, rudely asked us to move. Then came back and screamed that we needed to "move" the waiting area, over. There wasn't any room for us to "'move over". Another person waiting next to us, had mentioned " that was oddly rude and loud. Where are we to move? ". After waiting for roughly 30 mins, even with a set reservation, we were able to finally be seated. Our serve was spectacular. She was attentive, knowledgeable and made great recommendations! Unfortunately the meal I had was subpar (I originally wanted Jack's BBQ Trout. But they had no more trout, that night). The grilled salmon sandwich was pretty basic. There wasn't a "wow" factor, as I imagined. The Family Fashioned was strong and well worth it!

This was the first time I had ever tried the famous Jack Stack and I have to admit I was BLOWN AWAY. I a so glad there is also a location in Overland Park. I didn't grow up in Kansas City, so I don't often crave BBQ (I know!), but this place has probably changed my mind. It was the first time I had BBQ Turkey, and I loved it. The meat was so tender and juicy. At first I was upset that they had put BBQ sauce on it, but by the end I wanted it on every bite of my meal. Everything I had was delicious!! I cannot recommend this place enough!! Also, when we arrived the parking lot was completely full and the place looked packed, but we were seated within minutes. Our waitress was also very lovely.

As transplants from another state, and BBQ not being our first language, we wanted to try new things! They came to the table and we were all sort of perplexed. Were they supposed to look like...that? Either way, we dug in. They were cold in the middle, also a strange discovery to us. I ordered the burnt ends, which came to the table closer to cold than warm. The blue cheese potato salad was tasty and all it needed was a lil salt and pepper to make it perfect. All was going well, until my husband was about 4-5 bites into his brisket wrap. He asked me to smell it, and I did. It was funky! Smelled a lot like a foot and not a lot like a tortilla. He asked the server to smell it and they agreed it was a bit odd. The manager came over and denied it smelling like anything. My husband had finished his meal, and we weren't looking for a freebie but wanted to let them know it was a lil weird. Instead of acknowledging the potential issue, we were dismissed as "wrong." It just didn't sit right with me. My husband had some definite issues in the hour or two after eating, so we won't be back. I won't say it was food poisoning because genuinely it could have just not agreed with my husband. I'll put my disclaimer on here, I hope people do enjoy and continue to patronize this small business, it's just not to my liking.

We decided to have a quick early dinner here in town, and did a Yelp search for "great places to eat near me". This place was high in the list. We read the reviews and found ourselves driving around a building that had ZERO markings for the Burn Theory Fire Kitchen on it, but our Maps app said we were here. Turned out, the food for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen was cooked in a food truck in a parking lot and served inside the Diametric Brewing Company which is located at the address listed for Burn Theory Fire Kitchen. I will say, my husband ordered a special beer called "Cherry Street Wheat" and it was very unusual, and seriously tasty!!! I'm not a beer fan, but would drink one of these any day! So, getting back to the food... we'd both ordered a trio of street tacos that we did a mix and match of with their various proteins. We ordered this way to share with each other. We also love to discover new and unusual bites. After reading the reviews and their menu, we were excited for the promise of something uniquely delicious... and were completely disappointed!!! All but one (excluding the shrimp) of the six different tacos we'd ordered, bordered on the inedible side. The proteins were seemingly overcooked, folded into little leathery tortilla shells, and served to our table cold, dry and tough. They tasted as if they had been reheated from the weekends leftovers. Maybe we came on the wrong day. Perhaps if we'd visited on a weekend, or on the same day they were actually cooking the meats initially, we'd had a better experience. I don't know, and frankly do not plan to find out. Additionally, to be fair, their condiments (ie: the Ketchup and BBQ sauce) seemed to be made fresh and made from scratch. They were sadly the best part of our meal. Honorable mention to the Diametric Brewing Company which served us one of the most delicious and unique beers we've ever tasted!

I ordered the Burn Theory Cubano: House smoked ham and pulled pork, melted Swiss cheese, pickles and house made mustard on toasted brioche. This sandwich was huge! It's very shareable if you're ordering sides. The meat was super smoky and I loved the flavor. It's definitely a top 5 Cuban in KC. We ordered several sides: seasoned fries, smoked Mac and cheese, and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was good sized and easily shareable as a starter. I liked the house made dressing. If you wanted to have this as an entree, you have the option to add brisket, chicken, or shrimp. I will definitely consider it in the future. The seasoned fries were pretty standard. My boyfriend liked the seasoning and that they didn't put too much on them. My 3 doggos also enjoyed a few. The smoked Mac and cheese was probably my favorite side and I'll have a hard time getting a different one in the future. The Smokey flavor was perfect and not overwhelming. The pasta wasn't overcooked and the sauce was creamy. I end up at Strange Days pretty often and I feel like this is a perfect addition to the area. I'll definitely be ordering from them in the future while I enjoy a beer.
